Reviewer Comments: First I want to say that this cottage was not a cottage feel at all. We got inside this rental and were inside a garage instead of a rental. This rental was very small for three people. We found spiders everywhere. Also the french doors were not very secure. The table wobbled a lot. The bathrooom was very small as well. we do not recommend this place for a rental.

Clean and private

This property was perfect for us as a couple on a week long stay in the Port Aransas area. We wanted a location fairly close to the beach and shops, yet the neighborhood felt very quiet. The house was on the small size, which we knew when booking, but there was also a small private outdoor space available and a screened porch. Several amenities were provided on our arrival which was appreciated so we could settle in right away without needing to shop. The kitchen was a great size for preparing our own meals when we wanted. The bed was comfortable. The management company was easy to communicate with and helped us arrange to pick up keys after hours. We loved our stay and would stay here again.

A couple minor items such as no hand soap by the sink, only 2 bath towels provided(my wife uses 2 towels when she showers), it would have been nice to have a couple beach chairs provided. On a positive note we noticed the propane for the grill was empty and we called on a sunday morning and it was replaced within a couple hours. Thank You, we enjoyed our stay.

The backyard was maintained with St. Augustine grass that was plush. It was perfect for our dog that loved it! I would go back to this rental in the future.

Pros: short walk to the beach and drive-on access. Dog friendly-we stayed with our 2 dogs. Fenced in yard. Affordable. Kitchen was well stocked with enough to make breakfast, knife to cut a watermelon and Tupperware to store it. Very small unit but still doable for short weekend. Cons: sleep was uncomfortable due to ac unit never feeling cool enough. Felt like there was sand in the bed immediately after getting into them, even after knocking the sand off my feet from the floors. Laundry facility had roaches all in it and we didn't even know where it was located at first. Water pressure in kitchen sink was probably less than 50%. Shower head had water coming out of all the cracks and seemed as if it were going to pop out of the wall if you weren't careful adjusting. Our check in was at 4. We got the keys at 3:55, got to the unit right after 4 and maid service was still there so we had to wait to get in. Baseboards, fans, AC vents all covered in dust. Don't recommend for longer than a 2 night stay. We were just thankful to find a place on July4th weekend that was dog friendly, closer to the water, and affordable.

Though a little smaller than expected we adjusted easily and LOVED our stay. We will likely book again on our next trip. The backyard was a wonderful perk and allowed our kids somewhere to play. Having access to laundry on site was definitely a perk.

Allowing our fur babies to accompany us and the ability to give them a private grassed and secure fenced in area was a major selling point for us. Updating the AC with a motel style unit would be great.

Was a great property. Small/quant but it didn’t feel crowded. Nice bed, sleeper couch, nice kitchen amenities, nice bathroom. Everything we needed. Excellent location. Quiet too. If I had to pick a negative, would have liked a light in the screened in patio. Unless I couldn’t find it… All and all 10 outta 10 property.

This place was perfect. Very private and comfortable with everything you need. I felt very safe here as well. My dog loved the screened in patio and yard. So did I! Lol. Highly recommend this place and it may be my go to from now on when I visit port a. Favorite place I’ve stayed on the island so far…and I’ve been coming for the last 30yrs.

The place is fine for just 2 adults. It is too small for 4 adults and a pet. There was no space to walk around. The property should be advertised for 2 adults. And even though pet is welcome, my pet was confused and restless.

We had a wonderful fall getaway to Port A. The cottage was just perfect. Clean and really cute! I loved the French Country decor. The outdoor area was great for relaxing and for our dog to run around in. Totally recommend this cottage and hope to stay here again!

Love the upgrades of the laundry room but the sleep number bed did not work, even with a new battery. The place was clean but was too warm when we got there. Had to crank the A/C down & use the extra fan to cool it down. There needs to be some type of lights outside, could see nothing & too many keys. We stayed here because of our dogs & the addition of the privacy fence was great as well as the location!

This cottage was perfect for our fall getaway. Everything was clean and functional. I did not cook during our stay but did use the fridge. The fenced yard area was a nice to have since we did have our dogs with us. The entrance could use lighting - it was extremely dark in the evening.
