A little noisy at night with traffic.

Very clean, warm, comfortable and with lots of extras. The host really had thought of everything. A real home from home. Excellent location right near station so it was easy to jump on the train to Edinburgh for the day. Lots of lovely walks near the river and around Berwick. Parking permit provided meant we could park on the street right outside the cottage and we also used it on days out to Bamburgh and Seahouses. Will definitely return.

Easy access with parking included, very well equipped, a real home from home feeling.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike in this lovely house.

Well equipped property, had everything we needed. Coffee machine supplied with pods was a nice touch. Clean and well maintained property, shops not too far away.

Lots of traffic noise early in the morning. No dedicated parking slot.

Berwick was litterally on the doostep of this little spot. No need to take the car anywhere and lots of nearby parks or riverside walks for the dog. Nice welcoming little extras like chocolate and a bottle of wine! heating and hot water system extremely efficient; bathroom stocked with all sorts of things you might have forgotten; thoughtful info provided along with car pass for the town centre and residents car pass for just outside; overall very cosy. Owner also contacted me to say we had left something behind which she would post to us; how lovely is that?

Our fault entirely but we hadn't fully grasped how noisy traffic would be or how close railway was but the clue is in the title! A toll house would of course be on a busy thoroughfare; that's how they would collect the money! Having said that we remained undisturbed due to being exhausted by long walks on nearby beaches and slept like logs. One small thing... there was an abundance of ornaments and decorative features which made us slightly nervous in case they got broken. Happy to report nothing was.
