The building has an interesting history. There also also many historical objects around in the house.

The drive-in gate to the private parking area is rather awkward. You have to know how to turn your car.

The house is virtually impossible to find, as there are no visible streetnamed, nor was the name of the house visible.

Casa dos Strecht’s is an old family house, dating from the late 18th century. We were stunned by the original details in the interior like the winery and the wine cellar. But the kitchen is an absolute highlight as the living room is as well. We had a wonderful stay and because of the original twin bed we came closer together than ever. The outdoor was great for us, we loved the garden, our dogs loved the wine yard wher they could run, play and fetch. Don’t hesitate to go back centuries during your holiday, the censer is five minutes on foot with a range of cafes and restaurants. We hope to return. Porto, coimbra, guimaraes and aveiro are close.

Everything was more than satisfying.

The place is amazing - it's located in a really old house with very traditional portuguese interior. The owner is extremely friendly and helpped us with everything, even allowed us to check in early (thanks again! :)). There is a well equipped kitchen and a great balcony from which you can watch a stunning sunset.

This place was an amazing surprise. Beautiful family estate that's been cared for a couple of hundred years already. The details are amazing. I ended up recommending the place to everyone I know.
