Very close to a quiet beautiful beach, nice small family property, with a wonderful little garden. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with aircon and fan, good shower, and small kitchenette, fridge and freezer. I have never in my life had such a great and personable host, Susee took great care of me from the moment I arrived up until I left and provided anything and beyond I could ask for. Food was homemade and exceptional quality, and on the sri Lankan new year I was invited into the family home for a feast of food!

The only 2 minor things I feel the need to call out from my own perspective is that the property, being by the road, meant I could hear traffic day and night (albeit not very loud), it's still something I specifically tried to book to avoid. Also room has been marked "sea view" and "beach front" and strictly speaking it's 200m from the beach, and this I feel must be changed to reflect reality

Staying with Susee and his lovely family was such a pleasure for us. He was very helpful, picked us up from the trainstation, drove us to a temple and organized a beautiful boattour for us. We also loved the short distance to the beach and the restaurant there. And you can. looking forward to the amazing breakfast. Thank you for everything!

the house is sweet and clean and quiet. the private beach is really great ; very quiet, very clean and the restaurant there is gorgeous. susee is the best host we’ve had in sri lanka ! friendly and helpful, he makes sure his guests are happy and content and we would have loved to stay longer.

Susee is one of the most wonderful and caring individuals I have ever met. The breakfasts are incredible and the location is very relaxed and quaint. Susee will absolutely go out of his way to help you in any way that he can. I couldn’t recommend this property more if you find yourself staying in Bentota.

Our stay at Susee Villa was the perfect stay to end our Sri Lanka vacation. Susee and his wife are super welcoming and kind. The room was very clean, has a nice interior and was comfortable. Only the fan was a bit noisy at night. The private Beach is absolutely stunning! The sea is calm enough to have a nice swim but also wavey enough to have some fun playing with them. We will definitely be staying here again!

Susee and his family are awesome! His rooms are cheap and his breakfasts are massive and tasty! The location can't be beaten for the price. It's quiet, but only a 1 minute walk to the beautiful beach, with white sand and a great beach bar. It was so good, we booked for 2 days, but stayed for a week! But the best reason to stay at Susee's is Susee himself! He's honest, interested, interesting, attentive, funny and he's passionate Sri Lanka. Thank you Susee, it was our pleasure to meet and stay with you. Bohoma Istuti!

Amazing owners, amazing location and amazing food. Super clean ,with a beautiful garden and a private beach . Higly recommended

This is the best place you can find in Bentota (and probably Sri Lanka). Spacious AC room, sparkling clean with good shower made our stay comfy, but the owner made it exeptional! The attitude and the way the owners treated us was amazing. We felt like family guests. They greeted us with delicious tea, helped organize the most romantic NY dinner at the beach. And also let us stick around till late evening and use the shower afterwards to head to the airport. The villa territory is a tropical paradise with fruit trees and flowers, just 1 minute away from the great beach. There is also a parking space at the entrance.

One of the best stay during our trip to Sri Lanka. The location of the place is incredible - behind the door you have access to stunning, non-touristic beach with great restaurant. Hosts were absolutely fantastic, serving great breakfast, tea, coffee, snacks offering tuktuk drop offs and making sure you have everything what you need to have a great stay

Keeping a dog in such a small wooden cage is very disturbing :(

Very nice homestay with a perfect private calm beach cca 50m. The beach is something extra, you have a restaurant there, bar, people take care of you all the time, it is very clean and nice around. Susee also stopped bus for me on my way to Mirissa. Breakfast was the best, fresh fruit, some dumpkings with honey, local food, every morning a bit different.

We really enjoyed our short stay and even returned for further two nights at the end of our trip. Susee, the host, is a very kind and helpful person! The location is perfect as his house is very close (about 1 minute walking distance) to a beautiful and calm, almost deserted beach where you can use the sunbeds of the restaurant (free of charge and no obligation to consume) to relax the whole day. Breakfast was the best we got during our whole stay in Sri Lanka - we always had a fruit plate, ginger tea and different local specialities. On two evenings, we even got home made delicious egg hoppers (without requesting or paying them). The room was also okay and equipped with everything you need - warm water, small fridge, mosquito net, fan...

Location, breakfast is superb- coffee, fruits, sweets. Room is clear. Beach in 2 minutes with free sun beds

One thing to fix- squeaky door in bathroom
