Excellent location walking distance to beach, shop and bars/restaurant but along a quiet residential street. Boulangerie just at the end of the road but there's a better one across from the beach access. Ludgy friendly host and there for anything you might need. Chickens make a good alarm clock and you can enjoy breakfast with them on the patio outside. Enjoyed the the stay.

Sofa is worn and not comfortable if you want to spend much time indoors (we didn't). Found the beds a little hard, but I guess that's personal preference.

I spent one week in the house. The house was very spacious and clean. Exactly as described. I really liked the position, Ferry is a small and nice city, with a fantastic sunset and two greate beaches within walking distance of the house. Perfect location to explore Basse Terre. And the Wi Fi is fantastic, I was working remotely and was able to make call with videos or sharing screen without any issue, by far the best wi fi I had on the Island. The kitchen also has everything you need to cook or do a BBQ.

Very helpful host who came and found us late a night as our plane was over two hours late, house was clean and tidy and bedrooms had aircon. House has been upgraded to a good standard and this is still in process in the odd area. the rental cost is fair considering the property.

It is not in Deshaies but in a village called Ferry some 12 minutes drive from Deshaies, which is why we could not find it in Goggle Maps. The village has little or no life and single bar that has a random opening structure at the time we visited. All of the villages in this area a in a cove so it is necessary to drive if the village has no facilities. So an evening walk for glass or more of wine was not possible!
