unique rustic property. loved being on the terrace in the evening under the vine cooking on the bbq. good location near the rotunda to pop up for a morning coffee and pastry by the cathedral
lack of cutlery. small bathrooms with non hanging shower heads.

Overall it’s a lovely place. It’s situated in a quiet place in Gozo so there’s some peace and quiet at night but not far from anything. You can easily find grocery stores or bakeries close by as-well. There was a variety of cooking equipment available to use which made it easy to cook at the farmhouse. It was also very nice of the owners to leave us some basic necessities for us to use which came in useful when we ran out of the ones we had bought.
The only problem we had was with the ants. It’s understandable to find some ants outside but they were EVERYWHERE. In the sinks, showers, toilets, sofas and even in your bed. I’m not one to really care cause an insect is in a place but when it gets to the point that you have to flick an ant off you every minute or so, it starts to get annoying.

It was a beautiful traditional farmhouse with two open air courtyards one of which caught the sun- great to eat and sunbathe. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a wonderful walk down to a sheltered cove Mgarr ir Xini good for swimming and with a great restaurant. a bus stop close by meant it was easy to explore the rest of the island cheaply.

It felt like going back to medieval. I loved the place. It's close to the university campus and to the cathedral in xewkija. The host is extremely friendly.

The property was beautiful! It is so rustic and quaint with an amazing location and lots of space for a family of four-we didn’t even use the third bedroom. We loved the upper terrace patio and the living area which was do cozy. It was easy to walk to the huge cathedral nearby with several cute restaurants in the square. The central location allowed us to see all of Gozo. Martin is the friendliest host ever and he gave us so many tips on things to see and local places in Gozo. He also gave us a bottle of wine and left us with a bunch of fruit and yogurt which the entire family devoured over four days!!! We would stay here in an instant again.
It was all great.

This typical Gozitan farmhouse/converted stable is quite ideal as a basis for exploring the island because of its convenient location – everything is so close to Ix-Xewkija.
Given that the house is very well equipped, it is perfect not only for a long weekend off-time, but also for a 10-14 days holiday (e.g. It has iron/ironing board; washing machine; hi-fi).
We spent here a week. Our holiday’s highlight was (amongst others) the fact that the breath-taking seawievs like Ta-Cenc, Mgarr-Ix-Xini are easily accessible even without a car (10-15 minutes by bike, half an hour on foot).
The owner is very helpful and a nice person.
The street noise commented by others above (mainly the cars' honks) is the only thing that could be mentioned as a disadvantage, but the sound of honk is part of everyday life in Malta and Gozo. (It is basically impossible to find a place in Malta/Gozo where you can’t hear the traffic.) For us, it was not disturbing at all.
Highly recommended for family holidays and / or staying with friends.

The property is great, full of character. The terrace is a wonderful place to chill, make a barbecue, sunbathe. The owner was really nice and helpful, left us some good wine and snacks.
There is lots of ants everywhere, which is quite understandable for such a old house. It was not such a big deal for us, but I guess some people will find it uncomfortable,

It’s a little gem! Loved the farmhouse and best feature is the terrace with the bbq. Very clean and we had everything we needed. Martin was great and directed us to some shops nearby.

We booked this property for it's "castle" look. We were pleased that was very authentic. There was loads of space for the 4 of us. It would be a little tight with all 6 beds used but not to bad (i.e. plenty of inner chairs). Martin was a very good host answering any questions we had.
We stayed during the winter so it's open plan courtyard was a concern for us but it didn't rain so all was good. The small town of Xewkija is nice with a lovely church (very scenic). The beach Mgarr ix-Xini was a 30 mins walk (downhill) and was quite a nice but is a stoney beach.
Very Cozy Property during the winter
Air conditioning also means heater :P The first night we were not aware of this so found the property very cold. After contacting the host he helped us out straight away and explained that the airconditioning (which runs off €1/€2 coins though a meter) doubles as a heater.
The property is slightly far away from everywhere wether you are looking for nightlife or a beach but this is quickly and easily resolved with a car/quad/taxi/bus or good walking attitude :D
