The room was very good and comfortable. The food was exceptional. Breakfast was good too.

The administration appears to need some attention because about 10 minutes after I had checked out and settled my bill in full for extras (food and wine) the hotel attempted to take payment for my stay again!! I had of course already paid in full for the accommodation in advance via Booking.com. Luckily the transaction was declined by my Bank. Never the less I emailed the hotel to bring this to their attention. They said 'It was caused by an unusual system error. We have investigated it and hope that it will not reoccur. I apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. I can reassure you that it was not an intentional attempt to deduct additional funds from your card.'

I stayed for 5 nights and the menu was the same every night. A special would be a good idea for variety.

Fantastic location and food. Staff very polite, respectful and attentive.

Bed was too firm. Pillow was hard. Too many lights and switches in the suite!

Location was lovely, albeit down some very narrow lanes. But couldnt beat the views. The staff were all amazing. Couldnt do enough for you. The gin and tonic was lovely they made. So good had to have a few.

Stayed in the shepherd huts. Expensive for what they are. And teeny tiny. My husband and i and our two dogs stayed. They are very nicely done out, but not worth the money charged. Ok for 1 night. But more than that would be very claustrophobic.

Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. Very nice touch to bring tea to bed with a newspaper in the morning to wake up. Staff incredibly friendly and professional. Food really better than in many star restaurants.

Rooms were a little on the small side.
