Room claustrophobic...too small. The beds are narrow and mattress hard! Not a warm welcome. No tea offered or anything, just shown the room. For a similar price on the TCT I have had tea and cakes on arrival, sumptuous bedroom and even wine at dinner. This place lacks any commitment to customer satisfaction. We even had the noise of building work round the back until 9.30 pm!

I really wish I could leave a good review because I liked my room a lot. However, the attitude of the host was terrible.

First of all, the room has really thin walls, so if something happens in the kitchen downstairs or in the rooms next door, you will hear it perfectly. And there was a lot happening. During my entire stay (6 nights) the owners were making renovations in the room next to me. There were constant noises of drilling, hammering, people arguing and shouting from like 9 am to 11 pm. Prior to my arrival, I was not informed that there was a renovation and that it would be uncomfortable to stay in that room. I asked for a different room, but the owner’s sister said that the other rooms would be noisy as well, as there are renovations all over the house. Maybe don’t advertise the room on booking if you can’t provide the comfort for the guests. The kitchen is pretty basic, there in only a gas ballon to cook on, no stove. Also, there were no matches in the kitchen, I had to ask the owner or his friend to lend me a lighter. But I almost did put up with that, however, the worst part of my stay was at the end. After I’ve checked out, the owner approached me really angry and annoyed and said that I left too much trash in the room and he hasn’t seen this much trash from the guest in 10 years. He did in fact leave some cans near the trash bin in the room, as the bin was really small and I stayed in the room for almost one week. However, there was nothing horrible and nothing to make that much fuss about. The owner continued shaming me for the trash for several minutes, he was really pissed and aggressive. After that I left immediately, never hearing a goodbye from the guy. So that’s it. I do think the place could have been great, as it has good location and the decoration is nice. But the attitude of the owner definitely ruins the experience. If some cans in the room almost give you a heart attack, maybe you shouldn’t be running the guesthouse. Definitely don’t recommend the place. Better find a simple stay, but with a more welcoming host who knows how to treat people.

Breakfast was an amazing experience. The table was full of food for just the two of us, with homemade preserves and topped with a vase of fresh roses! Beautiful view from the dining area, and rooms, too. The staff was super friendly and helped us organise out if hours transport

When we went there the premises was locked. They didnt even inform about the unavailability. We were there without an option. We contacted them but no response

Davit was really helpful as I had difficulties walking because of a bad knee and he gave me some medicine from his home pharmacy. The shower was strong and at the right temperature

I felt claustrophobic in the room I had as the beds were in an alcove-like part of the room and received very little natural light. As in most guesthouses the only electric light was hanging from the middle of the ceiling with the switch by the door .. forget about reading in bed ! Uncomfortable and too small single beds. The wifi was real weak.

The room, bathroom, and beds were clean and comfortable. We were provided with a heater. That could be a really nice stay, but...

If the owner wants to run a guesthouse, he needs to be able to control his family members or friends and do not let them argue loudly the whole night. During the night, there was only a 3 hours break from a lively discussion, from around midnight (when guests from the other room went down to ask to calm down the Georgian family), and at 3:30 am we were woken up by the loud sound of chopping wood and another part of the conversation which lasted still when we were leaving that place. We barely slept during that night, as we had to listen to owner friends through the totally not soundproof walls. If you want to run a guest house, you need to take care of your guests, otherwise, you have just a house. Second thing is that we booked a stay with included breakfasts at the price a couple of days before our arrival. Just before our arrival, we have received a message from the owner informing us that "because of Booking error" we need to pay for the breakfast separately. Due to short notice, we had to accept it and pay more (which almost doubled the price). The offered breakfast was the worst we had a chance to try during our trekking from Mestia - tasteless bread from the store, 1 egg/pers, 2 pieces of an old cheese/pers, jam, coffee, tea, and some biscuits - definitely not worth the price. Place not recommended.

Great rooms, nice place, warm shower.

There seems to be some misunderstanding between the guesthouse and Booking. Booking offers breakfast for instance, but the guesthouse does not offer that possibility.

I little bit cold at night, the bed doesn't have bedsheets, but you sleep in something mattress top that look clean.

We had confirmed accommodation in that hotel, unfortunately the guesthouse was closed. We had to look for accommodation elsewhere. Staff did not inform us that the guesthouse is inactive.

The family are friendly, they allowed us to cook noodle soup after we came back from outside at night, the brother helps to arrange transport back to Mestia.

Power trip for one nights during the two nights we stayed and second night trip for awhile (not sure whether whole Ushguli but some of the guesthouse have portable power supply), heater doesn't work well, still cold at night but it's warm to stay in kitchen with the family.

Hosts are really nice people, house has like home atmosphere, great view.

It was cold in room, also guesthouse is on top of hill so you if you come by bus you need to go up the steam road to go there.

Fantastic location, very comfortable rooms and nice hosts: highly recommended for anyone looking for a good guesthouse in Ushguli!
