Odelba was such a sweet and helpful host. She and her family run this hostel with so much care. They are available for any questions. Also, if you’re a Spanish learner, this is a great place to stay and practice.

If you are missing home or you just one the best homely place ever… come here. Odesa and her family will make you feel the best. They are so attentive, careening and just amazing.
They will help you with everything (find a taxi, shuttle, rent a bike, quads, book a hike). Literally anything you need they will help you with!
If you are trying to find the best breakfast, they have it! All home cooked. If you are trying to do your laundry, they will do it and bring it back to you smelling like home. We have spent a week there and it was our best week in Nica!
It’s all great but, if you are a hot bunny, you will for sure acclimatised!

L’hôte est d’une gentillesse extrême! Le wifi était bon.
Matelas moyennement confortable. Propreté correcte, sans plus.

The welcome and the Service from the host odelba was very professional and welcoming. The property was simple and nice, don’t expect a lot. It’s located little away from the main road, but easily accessible by foot, the location is perfect on the island. You can do everything from there.
Say hello to the 🐕, he’s called canela,
He is a very relaxed dog. I wish that he is not always chained.

Er zijn buiten overdekt een aantal hangmatten. Heerlijk om daarin te liggen. Mooie buitenruimte.

The woman who runs it is very sweet! The breakfast was good and I liked the location. I used an ATV but that’s to be expected to get around the island
It was hot at night, the fans helped! I don’t think there is AC anywhere on the island so you have to be prepared.

More of a homestay than a hostel, we were given a warm welcome. Odelva booked a brilliant kayak tour for us and we rented a scooter through her too. She took care of everything. Our room was cleaned daily and after two nights our linen and towels were changed. There's a lovely common area with hammocks in the shade. The hostel is a short walk from a few great comerdores too. This felt like a proper holiday. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely family run bnb in a great location away from the busyness.
Bonus points - the husband has a barber shop around the corner and does fantastic cuts.

Hostess was so lovely and helpful she helped us rent a moped and helped get my shoes fixed! the room was comfortable and spacious and there was a kitchen to use. overall a great place
The only negative was the noise - you will get woken up at 5am due to all the cockerels

Very welcoming host. Good location.

Lovely home stay. We felt very welcome and loved that a dorm room is actually a private room with private bathroom. She helped us book a scooter which arrived very quickly. The accommodation is basic but well located and there are lots of nice touches such as daily cleaning, which for the price, we were very happy with!
There was an issue with the free breakfast but, after some discussion with the host, it was honoured and lovely. We asked booking.com to clarify with the host to make sure the listing is correct for future guests.

The family is so kind and loving and make you really feel at home and welcomed. The property is super nice located where you can walk to the cafes in town or easily ride in and out on your motorcycle. The access into the parking was easy and spacious for parking the motorcycle. It's also the perfect location for visiting everything on the island, equidistant to all the great things to see and do. Great little homey feel good spot!!

Nice owners. Set us up with a kayak trip. Good breakfast. Location is not far from restaurants but quiet. Some comfy hammocks. Close to volcano hike.
Not sure about the other reviews that may be based on a hostel standard, but this is a very basic place. Small rooms. Not even a shower head with the cold water.

Lovely quiet place and absolutely unbeatable value for the price! It felt more like a home stay than a hostel. The family who runs it, are lovely and very welcoming people. They can also help organizing a scooter or a guided hike.
Room was cleaned daily, breakfast was delicious and varied every day. The bed was comfy.

Staying with Oldeva was like being a part of her family. She is incredibly kind and very helpful, and she knows a fair bit of English too. She gave me a private room the first night, even if I booked the dorm, just because it was empty. I could stay as many nights as I wanted, she made sure there was a bed available. She makes the breakfast at the time you want it too, gallo pinto or pancakes with fruit. Every day, when coming back from activities, I’d find the dorm/room clean and a fresh pair of sheets and a new towel on the bed. The rooms are clean, the shower is decent (still cold, like in all of Nicaraguan hostels).
I had only booked the one night, I ended up staying for four. There weren’t too many backpackers, so not too much socialising, but honestly 100/100 recommend.
At around 4am, the rooster does start to make some noises, waking me up. It does die down again within 15min so it’s not too bad.

The owner is super nice and trustful (she helped us arrange motorbike rent, which was reasonable and 'normal' price, since many times in Nicaragua we experienced higher prices offered when something was mediated) , breakfast was tasty, we got a privat room even though it was listed as dorm, we also enjoyed the location and all the animals in the house - a dog Canela, piggy and some chickens
It was littlw bit loud during the night because some neighbours had decided to have a karaoke/singing night

Odelba, the lady who runs it it’s a sweetheart!! my review goes specially to her and her typical and delicious food! don’t expect much, that side of the island is really simple and so is her place, but it’s full of love and care. I loved staying there :)

Angela and her family will make you feel like home. I stayed 4 nights and had great (and different) breakfast everyday. The room was cleaned every day, even though I had it to myself.
She can arrange bicycles, motorcycles, volcano guides, etc.
