We are a group of 4 (two couples)and we absolutely loved staying at Hill Top Country Guesthouse. The location in the middle of Hunter Valley is amazing and there are so many activities to do around. The views are great. The guest house had an old fashioned style, but was very clean.
Margaret is a kind hard-working woman who has been very hospitable to us. We would definitely stay here again.
There was no option for breakfast or dinner, however there are many nice places around where you can go for food & drinks and wine tasting!

No review as they gave our room to someone else and has been told about it 1 hr before while we were driving to the location and rang them as we were lost.
There is no review as while we were on our way, we rang them and to be told that all their guests were in and there is no room available for us. We could not believe what was happening to us and lucky enough that we had friends who were staying at the Hunter as well for the concert and was able to sleep on their sofa in their living room. Our whole weekend was a complete disaster to due to that. How can this be possible ? Did they give our room to the best offer? Shame on them

The bed was comfortable, very small but clean ensuite. The view was lovely.
The walls are very thin. We could hear, and hear everything, people using the other bathrooms, snorers etc.

The house is old and run down. Stained carpets, old blinds that smell musty and bed linen which hasn’t feels like it hasn’t been updated since 1970. Margaret, the owner customer service was non existent existent. We had to leave early for a medical emergency and Margaret displayed no empathy and would not budge on any sort of refund or credit etc. very disappointing stay reading reviews on other sites it seems this is a common opinion. would never recommend this property to anyone.

There was no onsite dining, but local restaurants were very close by car. The overall location to all Hunter Valley facilities and vineyards was excellent.

Host was lovely and gave us a lot of recommendations for food in the area. The location is stunning. The perfect weekend away from the city.

It looked nice
Shocking I booked the room late around 430 got there around 5 call the property and she was rude.i felt like I was putting her out coming to give me the keys! Tbh I just went somewhere else asked for a refund still waiting don't recommend a late booking at this place

Room was comfortable, spacious and very clean.
No access to kitchen facilities..large dining area could have been more user friendly when kitchen was locked for personal privacy.
Heating was on 1 out of 3 nights.

Older style property, the bath/shower was difficult to get in and out of. Water pressure poor, water temperature a bit inconsistent.
