Comfy room, clean, nice staff, good food downstairs, and everything very affordable. Having the privacy of a private room at a dorm price. Would stay again. 👌🏻

We had the most amazing stay here! Great location near to the market, with some small local bars & restaurants on the same road and in the surrounding area. The bed is comfortable & at night when the air con is turned on the rooms are a reasonable temperature. Super basic, but clean and comfy! The social bar area downstairs is great at night, with nightly offers varying from cocktail nights, live music nights or quiz nights. The staff are absolutely fantastic and our host helped us out so much from the moment we arrived. She made us feel part of the hostel family and organised trips and our transfer for us at a super reasonable rate! You absolutely have to do the full day tour offered by Pomme. We’ve been travelling Asia for months and it’s the most fun tour we’ve done so far. Our guide Tony who works with Pomme was the funniest guide all day, gave us a really great day full of laughs, food and beer! He was also really really knowledgable on the history of the area and gave some heartbreaking personal stories - it’s tough to listen to but absolutely worth learning about. Thank you Tony for our day which you made so special, we had an absolutely amazing day with you and would do it all over again - including all of the local food and plenty of beers😄 Cannot reccomend staying here enough, and 100% get yourself booked on a tour with Tony! You won’t regret it!

I wouldn’t say we disliked anything, but if you are particular about room size & air con, make sure you set your expectations accordingly. Wasn’t an issue for us because the price was fantastic and we had an amazing stay.

The small rooms were very comfortable, the food is very good i loved the atmosphere there. And i can also really recommend the tour with Toni, was soo much fun

it was very clean. the only hostel I have stayed where facilities were clean and without any strange smells.

the location was so depressing. the bamboo train is about 3-4 miles from the property and should only cost $5 return trip and $5 for the train ride itself the tour guy from the hostel told me it’s costs $9 just for the get to the bamboo train and the then and $5 for bamboo train!

Very good value for a private room and perfectly functional.

Bathrooms were a bit smelly especially in the mornings - I think changing the bins more frequently would make a big difference.
