The staff here are absolutely outstanding in terms of sheer enthusiasm to serve and help the guests. Other guest reviews have commented on the excellence of the staff and I found them to be the most helpful and friendly I've encountered across multiple guesthouses over a 5 month trip through Asia. The manager CD was particularly helpful in giving practical advice about Battambang and the sights to see. Staff member Hur was also extremely helpful and sweet. The hotel is quiet during the day and night. There is filtered drinking water and a pool table in the common area - both for free. The rooms do not have a fridge but guests can use the large fridge in the common area. I stayed in the Deluxe Double Room with Extra Bed and it was spacious and nicely decorated. The AC and hot water in shower worked well. The food in the restaurant is cheap and good quality.

The guesthouse is a 15 minute walk from the town centre but the hotel do rent bikes and scooters at reasonable rates and I recommend to rent one of these. Many of the best sights and activities in Battambang are outside the city and require some form of transport so chances are, you would have had to rent a bike/scooter anyway.. The only small complaint I have about the room is that there was no separation between the shower and the toilet and the toilet bowl was almost in the way when showering - I've experienced this in a few hotels though in Asia. Also the shower head would not stay straight and was always pointing away to the side.

The staff were absolutely amazing. So kind and helpful. All they want is for the customer to be happy and enjoy their stay. They will try to help as much as they can with booking things and any requests. Shoutout to Sopheara, who taught us some Khmer and was just the sweetest

The staff are very attentive and helpful. French style Breakfast is really good & Sumptuous, although coffee is cold. Drinking water is available & beer is sold on site. Tours, tuk tuk, transport are offered. overall the entire premise and my room is very clean.

a lot of mosquitos in reception & common area, gave me more than 10 stings. I put garbage outside the room & for 3 days it's still there. Nobody came to clean my room for 4 days & Nobody asked if I need services. the room lacks a kettle.

We loved our stay at Por Chey, they have recently extended and everything was literally brand new and super comfy! Value for money was great! Pheara was amazing , she was so kind and helped answer any questions we had! We would definitely come back. The free pickup service was also lifesaver. We ended up booking a day tour with Mr Buntha our Tuktuk tour guide who was also absolutely amazing. If you stay here or anywhere else make sure you go through him - +885 96 661 3993. Bat caves were the highlight of our trip, location of Por Chey was also perfect!

The food could use some improvement but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. They will help with organising tours and travel tickets. The tuk tuk driver Sipon is a great tour guide and a friendly guy. The hotel is close to the night market.

If you prefer walking the location is a little far from the centre of the city/bars/restaurants, but you can get a tuk tuk for little money.

The room was very spacious and clean for a pretty good price. It is walking distance from the city center and there are a lot of great local restaurants, cafe, market and street food stalls in the surroundings. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Laundry service is cheap and we really appreciated the tuk tuk pick up from the bus station.

For the price, this place is amazing. The room was large and comfortable and the aircon and shower worked well. The staff were always available and were very helpful. Basic, reasonably priced meals and refreshments were available. The laundry service was excellent and cheap. The tuk tuk driver who picked us up free of charge from the bus station gave us a very reasonably priced tour of some of the sights around Battambang the next day.

The place is a bit out of the way - about a 1.5km walk to the centre of town.

The room is big, clean and equipped with a TV and Aircon. The staff was really friendly, picked us up from the bus station and recommend things to do around the area. We were also able to rent a scooter directly from the staff. There is also a water refill station, which is great to reduce plastic.

Recommend to rent a scooter, as there are no restaurants in the vicinity of the guesthouse (apart from the restaurant in the guesthouse).
