My wife and I visited with our friends. We had a lovely relaxing holiday. The views from the terrace are great. We didn’t feel the need to always go out to eat - it was great to have a gas barbecue
It is necessary to have a car as the area is quite hilly and most of the restaurants are a 10/15 minute drive away. We especially liked Cabopino marina and Mijas pueblo.

Family of three stay at the villa.
A lovely little penthouse apartment at the top of a quiet little resort. The apartment its self is in need of a tidy up (paint etc) and could also with feeling a little more homely with flowers, particularly on the balconies. The apartment is at the top of a very steep hill with the closest bar/restaurant about 5 minute drive. We were met by a gentleman (could tell you who he was) to let us in and quickly showed us around. We hired a small car from Hellihollis and needed it! Trips to Marbella and Mijas required the use of the car and we used it every day.
In all it was a lovely little holiday, however the meet and greet side lacked. We were given no welcome pack so had to make use of using messages to speak to a lady to help us get around. My only suggestion would be a decent email with proper guidance on how to get to the property. And then a welcome pack telling us about restaurants, shops, the apparentment and where places of Interest to visit. In all a solid 6/10.

A lovely break in a great location
Lovely property in an amazing location with wonderful views and plenty of space to soak up some January sunshine.
We had a relaxing stay including staying at the property some days, a skiing trip to Sierra Nevada and another trip in the other direction to Gibraltar (a hire car is a must here).
The property itself is spacious and comfortable, but starting to maybe feel a little tired here and there. The WiFi dropped off after a couple of days but not a huge problem for us as our UK 3G/4G data allowance saw us through. The hot tub was lovely, but could have done with servicing mid week, we weren’t able to use it for the last two days of our one week stay.
Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at the property.

We had an ok stay here in April. Kitchen and bed are small but ok. Friendly welkome by the houseneeper. The Jacuzzi works, but the top cover and side panels are outdated and need to be replaced. Grass is growing here and there on the terrace and there was a lot of wind so you could hardly zit on the terrace. In the living there is an old, dirty sofa. The wooden front door is damaged due to heavy rain. Needs to be replaced as well. And it is not linda’s place, it is an agency that rents it. But we had a good holiday despite the bad weather.

Fantastic Views
Conveniently located just off the motorway and really easy to find.
There was plenty of room in the apartment as there was only two of us.
Unfortunately, the weather could have been a little kinder while we were there, but obviously that's not the fault of the owners!
We were slightly later arriving than planned, but a phone call to Jose who was meeting us with the key soon sorted this out.
A car is a necessity as there are no shops in the immediate vicinity and it's a the top of a VERY steep hill, so good for a cardio work out, but not for carrying the groceries!
There is a large wrap round terrace and the hot tub is a great bonus - enjoy a glass of something chilled while watching the stars!
The only down side is that there was not a great deal of china - I don't think that there would be enough if all bedrooms were used, but there is a dishwasher. Also some of the paintwork is looking a little tired, but overall a good experience!

A good, well equipped and spacious apartment
There was seven of us staying in this 3 bedroom apartment including an 18 month old child. There was plenty of space in the apartment and on the terrace so it wasn't cramped.
The parapet wall around the terrace is quite low so constant observation of youngsters is required. This is especially so when in and accessing the Jacuzzi.
The jacuzzi was excellent and we got good use of it well into night fall along with good use of the gas BBQ. The views from the terrace are suberb! The communal pool was refreshing too.
The apartment is ideally located to explore the resorts of Benalmadena, Marbella & Porto Banus etc.
I would recommend hiring a car when staying here as the apartment is 'away from it all' . There is good secure parking at apartment so this is really convenient.
The managers, Linda and David, are excellent at prompt communication and I would recommend this apartment.

This was our 2nd stay at the Nueva Calahonda apartments and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The apartment is in a fabulous location, at the top of the mountain with a nice cool breeze and an AMAZING view, which we enjoyed most whilst relaxing in the hot tub sipping a cold glass of Spanish wine!
The apartment itself is modern, clean and spacious with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. However our favourite thing about this apartment is the sun terrace, unlike being squashed on a balcony with a couple of chairs, this really is another living space, with 6 sun loungers, a large table & 6 chairs, the huge hot tub and the gas BBQ, there was still ample space for us all (family of 4). We loved having lazy mornings on the sun terrace before heading off to the beach or spending the day at the apartment, heading down to the pool to cool down when needed (which is great and never over crowded) and then coming back for an evening BBQ of fresh fish.
I would recommend hiring a car to fully appreciate the area. The buses do run regularly along the main A7 and there are a couple of bars/restaurants half way down the mountain, however with 2 small children we didn’t even attempt the walk. Plus having the car gives you the freedom to explore a bit further, we had great days out in Gibraltar, Benalmádena , Mijas and the BioParc in Fuengirola there are some lovely local towns, La Cala & Mijas are great for meals out. The beaches are also great, with Cabopino being our favourite, I can recommend paella at Andy’s Beach bar and a stroll along the beach to watch the sunset!
All in all a beautiful, spacious, luxurious apartment in a fabulous location, many thanks for another wonderful family holiday!

First time in Spain, very nice play to stay!
Me and my wife are from Canada and it was our first time at the Costa del Sol. We used to rent a lot of condo in America with Homeaway but it was our first experience in Europe. We choose this condo for his spectacular view, the balcony and because it was equipped with a full BBQ outside. The place was very clean and the pictures we see on the website are very representative.
We spent 16 days there to play golf and Calahonda was strategic for us between Malaga and Gibraltar.
The reservation went very good. We had to make a bank electronic transfert for the first half of the rental cost and we paid the other half in cash when we arrived in the unit.
During our stay, we had a small technical problem and we made a call to the owner and a few hours after, somebody came to fix it....nice service.
A private garage for our rental car was a good thing.
If you like to walk like us, you can make your cardio by walking down the mountain to make your grocery or going to the beach. It's a 50 minutes walk.

Nice apartment with lovely view
We were met within 5 minutes of calling the caretaker by a lovely Spanish gentleman who showed us around.
The apartment has 3 good sized bedrooms , 2bathrooms a very adequate kitchen and a living room. It has a very large balcony with great views and a very nice hotub.
There is wifi , which works fine. If you are British bring your own dvd's or iPads as we couldn't find any English speaking channels on the tv which was really disappointing. Also I have to comment on how hard the beds are but we did eventually get used to it.
The place was spotless, which is so important.
There is a BBQ on the balcony which you can see from the photos, although there is a community notice on the door saying no BBQ to be used on the balcony! (We wouldn't have done this anyway)
The apt is up a huge hill so you would need to have a car, and we were quite happy to see that after 8pm, you had to pass through security gates to get into the community, then you have gated private parking also.
All in all I felt it was a good find and would recommend , although I felt that for the price there should have been better to i.e. Sky.

Amazing Apartment
This apartment has a beautiful outlook, with a lovely mountain breeze, which was very welcome in the hot July temperatures.
We picked the apartment for location and the hot tub! A great decision! We used the wonderful Lalo for our airport transfers, who kindly stopped at the supermarket for us on route! We also used him for a day trip to Seville (highly recommended) and an evening out in Puerto Banus, then onto Marbella, saving us the need to hire a car!
We think it was roughly a 1 mile down hill walk to the first few restaurants, there were 3 restaurants and 1 bar, although we only tried Miel y Nata, where we ate a few time as the food was amazing. There were some more restaurants and bars about another 5-10mins walk down the mountain, with the supermarket and restaurants at the very bottom (about 2.5miles from apartment in total I'm guessing) by the main road and the taxi rank! It is possible to enjoy the apartment without a car, as long as you enjoy walking and don't mind paying out for taxi's. (The bus service was in zones and didn't think we could get to any local towns on it?!)
The apartment was very clean & comfortable, we will certainly recommend & return again! There was only the 2 of us but would happily return with 4 friends as plenty of space! We made use of the bbq one evening and used the hot tub & terrace daily!
The owners were very helpful when booking the holiday and we would definitely recommend Lalo, who they use for transfers if required.

Great place to wind down at ...
great views over the Med ...very comfortable accommodation and the few hiccups we encountered were fixed immediately. This is a great place to spend lazy evenings . start off drinking Cava / then time in the jacuzzi / then barbeque with a fab view. and load all the dishes into the dishwasher / Terrace is bigger than the photos suggested / as it an L shaped Terrace which had five sun beds ... having loads of space was great/ Take DVDs with you / and you have to have car as it is 4 kms to the beach... Unless you want to be within walking distance of nightlife / this is a lovely apartment / one of my guests is already looking for possible dates for 2016/ which is always a good sign /

Absolut empfehlenswerte Ferienwohnung
Die Anlage wurde erst 2013 eröffnet. So ist auch der optische Eindruck der Wohnung. Alles neu und tip top in Ordnung. Die Möblierung besteht nicht aus altem Mobiliar sondern ausschließlich aus neuen Möbeln. Das gleiche bei allen Elektroartikeln. Flach-TV (Großbild) und ein kleiner im Schlafzimmer, Waschmaschine, Kühlkombination etc. alles neue Geräte, das heisst, die Ausstattung war erstklassig. Die Lage auf dem Berg lässt einen wunderbaren Blick auf Calahonda zu. Ein Mietwagen sollte jedoch unbedingt angemietet werden, da der Aufstieg zu Fuß sehr mühselig wäre.

Lovely family winter holiday!!
Just home from a week in nueva Calahonda 4. Myself and husband were travelling with a 2 year old and a 7 month old.
Our flight times were changed so we arrived in Malaga at 11pm and had to find our rental car then make our way to Calahonda which was easy to find from the Airport.
We called the caretaker from the airport to give him an arrival time and he was there to meet us when we arrived (12.15am) so really good service! He showed us around the apartment and showed us how everything works.
The apartment was lovely and a great size- 3 large bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms.
The views from the balcony were amazing and we all loved the jacuzzi on the balcony- especially my 2 year old daughter who thought that was us going swimming (it was a bit chilly for the actual pool)
This apartment has everything you will need- dishwasher, washing machine, filter coffee machine, microwave, oven, BBQ.
Would definitely recommend this apartment to families or groups, we had a lovely holiday here- sad to be back to the grey November in Scotland.

Great views, excellent hot tub - lovely apartment!
We travelled at October half term and the apartment offered great value for money. It is in a peaceful location with easy access to restaurants, beaches and the brand new coastal boardwalk. Car hire is essential and the apartment has two parking spaces. Wi-fi was excellent. Private hot tub, shared pool and play area all were used well. Jose the caretaker was very accommodating too.

Stunning, spectacular views, home from home
We travelled as a family of 4 with 2 teenage kids, they were more than happy with a bedroom each and wifi. The apartment is stunning and the views are just spectacular. They holiday was so relaxing and the hot tub was a great added bonus. We couldn't have asked for more, from booking to departure was so easy and communication from David and Linda was excellent. Car hire is needed but once you get used to the roads the view from the top makes up for it. We used the BBQ often but ate out locally too. Highly recommend Wok and the Teppanyaki very entertaining and the food was fantastic. The Saturday market at Puerto Baenus was worth a visit and the port was great fun too. A trip shopping at La Canada was good fun. Our holiday overall was amazing all thanks to the luxury of the penthouse apartment.

Great Holidays
We (me, my husband and two kids 12 and 3 years old) had a great holidays in this fantastic penthaus apartment. It has great view, all equipment what you can need on a vacation, big terrace with BBQ and jacuzzi. I suggest to rent a car then you can see more around. It is not so far Marbella and other side Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Terromolinos and Malaga. Also we visited beautiful cities Ronda and Mijas. The apartment suits for 2 couples and 2 kids. The holder is very nice person if we had any problem called him and he solve a problem very fast. I would recommend this apartment to everybody and will come back myself :)

Fantastic penthouse
This is as great place to stay. We booked the apartment online through PayPal which gave us extra piece of mind. The apartment is very modern with plenty of room and everything was spotless for our arrival. There was even washing up products, bin bags etc provided for our convenience. The best bit about the apartment has to be the hot tub. This made our holiday. There is also a fantastic BBQ on the balcony which we used regularly and the local supermarket (5 main drive away) sold a great variety of fresh seafood and meat. I would recommend a car as the apartment is at the top of calahonda, probably a good 40 main walk downhill, but a mountain treck on the way back. We hired a car which meant we could explore the area, but phoned a very reliable taxi service to take us out to the local restaurants at night on the strip and at el zoco. This cost us approx 8 Euros each way. We are looking forward to our next visit to calahonda and this apartment.

Arrived at appt with directions that were emailed to us without a problem.
On being let in we were overjoyed it was exactly as described and stepping out onto the balcony was amazing the views were fantastic couldnt wait to unpack and use the jacuzzi .They were 5 adults in our party and spent some lovely days and nights cooking on the bbq the appt was equiped with everything you needed. Pool area was lovely and quiet.Went to johnnys bar and millenium restuarant 10 mins down the hill and were very good.C ar hire is recomended the el zoco centre was very good for something to eat and the asian restaurant on the strip was excellent taxi cost 8 euros eachway if you didnt want to drive.My family and i had a fantastic holiday very quiet and relaxing and wouldnt hesitate to book again and hopefully will soon .A big thankyou to linda and david providing us with a lovely appt.

Nueva Calahonda 4 - Malaga
My partner and I recently returned from a fantastic 10 days where we stayed at this high end property with the most amazing views of the Mediterranean! The property was perfectly located for our trip where we had good highway access to both toll and regional roads so we could easily sightsee to the beautiful cities of Marbella, Ronda, Gibraltar and Torremolinos as well as the great shopping in Malaga.
The apartment was beautifully appointed with quality furniture and appliances (including BBQ) and had an amazing deck to lounge in the sun or enjoy a refreshment.
It would be perfect for 2 couples plus a few kids or in our case just the 2 of us. We did our research and were delighted with the result!

Amazing penthouse apartmnent with fantastic jacuzz
It was an absolute pleasure to rent this amazing penthouse apartment. The extremely polite and cuteous reception we receiced from Linda right from the start all the way through to the end was a breath of fresh air. Anything we needed we either e mailed Linda direct taking advantage of the free Wi fi or as advertised we simply phoned the oncall maintenance guy who got the only problem we had sorted ASAP. One of the locks broke on the patio doors and they were round within a few hours to rectify the problem.
The apartment was exactly as advertised and depicted in the photos and upon arrival, the place was extremely clean and everything that was said, was included. The free use of a baby cot and high chair was also a lovely gesture.
The apartment itself was well maintained, with a fully stocked kitchen with as many pans and cooking utensils as you will need. Dishwasher and washing machine worked fine.The only downside is maybe the need for some bigger drinking glasses as there were only small tumbler glasses or wine glasses but i dont really see this as a negative. All the beds and furnishings are of high quality and we all slept like babies all week. The crowning jewel is definately the HUGE jacuzzi on the terrace wuth fantastic views down the hill to the town and the sea, with the gorgeous sun terrace with large gas AND charcoal BBQ and outside eating area. The terrace gets the sun right from the morning right through to the evening. Maybe a parasol on the table may be an idea to get a bit of shade as we had our 1 year old boy with us and sometime a bit of shade was needed. To be fair the adjacent side of the terrace does go shady in the afternoon, but a parasol on the table would really finish off the terrace. Again i dont really see this as a negative but some people may want some shade. Also comes complete with 5 decent quality sun loungers.
The apartment itself is right at the top of a very large hill so definately recommend having a car. The apartment comes complete with secure underground parking with 2 dedicated spaces and extremely easy access to a lift which is right outside the front door, so parking is no problem whatsoever. There are some bars and restraunts just down the hill......fine walking down.....just a bit tough on the way back after being fed and watered, but then the exercise doesnt do you any harm.....For this reason though, reccomemend a car as this walk would not be suitable for elderly or very young children. we didnt find it a pro
