The Apartment was fine

We picked up the keys from a different site to where we were staying the directions to find the apartment were not clear and as the apartment was a privately owned rental the reception people at Peppers would not even tell us where to go . We wandered around until we accidently found the right apartment. Also I have been charged by both booking.com and Kingscliff accommodation and having issues getting a refund. Not happy

Liked that ot was close to the beach and other coastal towns. The bed was super comfy.

The fact that we had no service, ie. Bed making every day. The room could have been dusted better. The interior did not match the photo. Starting to show signs of aging.

Loved the location.

When we arrived the place was filthy. We swept a massive pile of dirt off the floor. Our beds sheets were stained and the bath towel had a “massive” brown mark on it. When we called they did send a cleaner to fix the room up. We sent them photos of how the room was left and asked for a reply. Nothing. The place is not the owners fault but those who you are renting it from. The room also has a funky smell. Better to book directly through peppers to ensure your room is clean. We travel for work and I have never complained about a room before. So very disappointed for the what we paid for our stay.

The facilities were great.

The refrigerator did not work and there were used newspapers stuffed in a shelf. Also I think the pillow may have been latex as I had a severe reaction. There was a quilt shoved in the bottom of the wardrobe. I have honestly never taken the time to give a review like this before. Disappointed.

Location and resort pool, but not worth the 'what didn't I like list'.

No one should be booking this place until the owners or management make repairs to the property. Things we didn't like: 1. Check in is at 2pm and we were called at 2:30pm wanting to know when will we be there. When I stated 3:30 to 4:00, I was told 'I guess we'll still be here then!'. 2. Mould and mildew on the ceiling above the bed where we slept(photo supplied). 3. Dirty INTERIOR windows and mirrors (photo supplied). 4. Toilet was gross and in poor working order (photo supplied). 5. Mould and mildew on blinds (photo supplied). 6. Dust on all the overhead fittings (photo supplied). 7. Agent letting themselves into the apartment without notification, knocking or identifying themselves....'sorry I got the wrong apartment'....my husband had to step out and say hang on a minute, even then they didn't identify themselves as the agent, I had to call the office to find out who had keys to the apartment. 7. A/c in the lounge dripped water when the a/c was on. 8. One of the kitchen lights leaked water when it was raining. 9. Gutters were nonfunctioning, when it rained the covered patio was wet from the water running down the external walls.

Room was spacious. Linen was nice. Views to Mt Warning is lovely. Close to beach. Other restaurants were close by with supermarket approx. 5 mins away.

There needs to be some cleaning done under the bed, sofa and under Cushions.
