Even though the location looks nice and everything the cooling system is very very bad master bedroom. AC was not working, so we had to leave the door open to get some cool air but the rest of the rooms air conditioning unit was registering in the 80s. For the value of the property you expect the cooling system to be amazing. But it’s not. even though Rocky point was amazing we could not escape the heat

This property is by far one of the best property my family has stayed at in Rocky Point. It was clean and very spacious. The host was very helpful in helping with check in and when we had a question he responded within minutes. The pictures doesn’t do this property justice. Amazing views. I will definitely try to stay here again.

This condo is AMAZING! The pictures, nice as they are, do not give you the full experience of a wrap around balcony on 3 sides, with sliding glass doors to the balcony from every bedroom, a huge living area, and that VIEW! This condo was perfect for our visit with 6 adults (3 couples, with everything we could possibly need! Our host Boan, was attentive and helpful with any questions we had! The checkin process was super simple, and the property is fabulous! We saw dolphins, fish, crabs, and enjoyed the water every day.
There is some construction going on in the 2nd and 3rd towers, but it was never heard in the condo, and never a bother at all on the beach. You can truly relax and do nothing here... OR, if you want to cook this property has the best stocked kitchen we have found! Everything from measuring spoons to mixing bowls, blender, and so much more! There is also an option to have meals delivered, or to have a personal chef! We had meals delivered twice, and both times the food was delicious, the delivery timely, and the chef super friendly! And they even made sure I had a birthday cake (Tres Leches!) to celebrate my birthday... so sweet of our host and the dinner service!
I have stayed at a number of resorts in Puerto Penasco in the last 10 years, and to date Las Palomas was my favorite. But now, Esmerelda is the place we will be heading to again and again! I would not think twice before booking this condo. Such a special experience, great beach great host!

The Esmeralda Resort property is on a lovely location. The apartment was luxurious with the most stunning view of a blue blue sea and breath taking sunsets of the Sea of Cortez. The wrap around balcony is such an added plus- ideal for a relaxing morning sipping coffee or an evening sunset with a glass of wine. Everything was comfortable and our host was most gracious. We are definitely returning.

The condo is very spacious and clean. The wrap around patio makes the best views. You literally can see anywhere you want to visit from sunrise to the sunset - just beautiful. You move with the sun across the patio to see it all. We liked that it is at the end f the condos on Sandy Beach which means hardly any people on the beach trying to sell products. Pool is spacious with easy access. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Nice place
Great place for a large family. Super comfortable and nice view. The property needs a few minor repairs like blemished cabinets and a few missing bathroom hardware but nothing that destroyed our vacation. It's on Sandy Beach which is nice. Resort is still being built so there are areas closed off and there is no welcome lobby to the resort yet. For the price it's good if you want space and want everyone to be comfortable, but because of minor repairs needed and construction going on, it did not feel as luxurious as it should.

Loved our stay at this property. Every bedroom and all common areas have beautiful views. Lots. of room to spread out indoor and on ample balconies. Well equipped. Responsive owner.

The location was okay, the view was wonderful, the home with beautifully decorated and it did look like the pictures.
The Bad:
My bed looked like someone rubbed a glazed donut on it. Boan was quick to send someone from house keeping, however they just put the comforter in a trash bag and left
A lot of things didn't work in the room, the AC wouldn't really blow in the room with the 2 beds
The direct TV didn't work
The remote for apple Tv had the up button stuck.
The stove wouldn't turn on
I had to pay a fee for having a service dog (in America that would be illegal, I don't know the laws of Mexico) -that one I knew going into and was willing to over look so that's equally on me
The resort isn't done being built and construction is underway, so no restaurant or hotel bar (they have a small pool bar very basic and do offer room service)

at 9pm on Wednesday Sept 22th,
I had two people from security knocking on the door telling me I had to let them look around the room. I let them know that I didn't believe them, nor did my grandmother. We let them look around and after they left another man came from security and said we had to let him look around take pictures of the piping and left. I booked this room for my grandmother and my parents, all older people they were scared that it was a scam to see what they had.

As an American who works for a company in Rocky Point, I go back and forth from phoenix. I can tell you for the money the standards all around should be higher.

Great views and an amazing patio. Pool was clean and nice. Staff was very nice. There is no underground parking but the parking lot is guard gated and safe. The massages on the beach were great.

This condo was everything we hoped and more. The view of the sea is absolutely stunning. Each room is large with a spacious private bathroom, and the kitchen and living area is beautiful. The resort fees and cleaning fees are a bit expensive, but we really enjoyed this rental.

Just what we needed!
Just what we need to end the year and bring in the new one. Restful, Relaxing and Enjoyable. The view from the property made you feel that you're at the top of the world. Boan the owner was on top of all the accommodations with the recommendations of the personal chef who created an amazing spread of food from Ceviche and fresh guacamole to shrimp and chicken fajitas all delicious with plenty of leftovers. I also recommend renting the kayaks for the time as well. Thank you, we will be returning and recommending this fantastic beach vacation rental.

GORGEOUS! Best owner ever!
This place is even more gorgeous in person than in the photos. Also, the owner is the best I've encountered for Rocky Point. They keep their properties in the best shape possible. Having rentals can be hard to maintain, but they do a great job. Go and enjoy!

Needs maintenance
Communication with the owner was excellent and quick.
Unfortunately the condo is in major need of repairs. For example, the screen doors on the balcony were all ripped and torn, crown moulding was broken and falling from the ceiling, chunks of corners of wall were falling apart, numerous lightbulbs were burned out (4 in just 2 rooms and then I quit counting,) there was one lamp where the lightbulb was velcro’ed into the socket (massive fire hazard), another lamp there was no where to plug it in, pillows in master were paper thin, beach towels were probably as old as the condo itself, the stove was a filthy, greasy mess.
I definitely would not stay here again nor recommend unless they do some maintenance.

Esmeralda Penthouse
Three couples in this penthouse had more than enough room... we have been planning this vacation for a year and walked into the penthouse and ... those views tho!!!! The penthouse was beautifully decorated and everyone had more than enough closet space and bathroom space... and did I mention the views? The fridge wasn't working well when we arrived and Boan had it fixed and working perfectly within hours. Boan is easy to work with and answers questions immediately.... and when I stopped messaging him with questions, he messaged me to make sure all was well. We were so busy lounging on the beach, jet skiing, shopping and riding quads .... and after a day of fun we *got* to return to that gorgeous penthouse and those views and ocean breezes. The beds were soft and comfy as well. We cooked a beautiful dinner in one night... played games and enjoyed those sea breezes... would definitely stay here again!!! Thanks Boan for a fabulous vacation!!!!

We came to Rocky Point for the first time in 6 years with small children. We stayed at this property with 10 people. We couldn't have been happier! The views were stunning with the wrap around balcony. The beach was near private because you are at the end of all the resorts, so it's less busy. Perfect with children. We could even walk 3/4 of a mile to Wrecked at the Reef. Boan, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back to this property.
