Amazing place. Sarah, Mary and Dixie (Friend and Chef) were outstanding. We have never been treated so well by a host group ever. The place had everything we would have wanted. Diving with Clearwater was exceptional. Again best service ever. Can't wait to go back!!

This property is in the perfect location on the island and we enjoyed our stay immensely. A walk down the beach allows for 3 or 4 different places to eat and water taxis are readily available to take you to West End and West Bay. The people of Roatan are friendly and the fun is endless. We all felt safe and highly recommended visiting this beautiful island, especially staying at Lazy A Beach House!

The house was very accommodating for all 8 of us! We had everything we needed. It was the perfect location for our first visit to Roatan. Sarah was extremely helpful in getting us transportation to and from the airport and filling us in on places to visit. She hooked us up with Big John the water taxi driver and we were set for everyplace we wanted to go! Mary, her property manager helped us find Rosa to cook for us in the house so we had a delicious local meal. We had a terrific time. we hope to be back.

The property was as described in the listing. Perfect setting for our family of six. Three couples. Plenty of activities, able to walk to West End (although a bit rocky and our feet got wet) and West Bay. Five minute walk to the scuba Centre, Clearwater. So many great restaurants and snorkel settings. Loved our stay!

Everything about our stay was perfect. From before we arrived Sarah ensured we were setup with transportation. Mary the property manager was amazing and all her recommendations were spot on. The snorkeling right from the beach was amazing and a great way to start each day. I 100% recommend this property!

Two families each with teen boys and one 20y.o. Everyone’s first time in Roatan. The house was clean, well appointed and well situated almost half way between West Bay and West End. Mary, the property manager, was a pleasure to deal with and loaded us up with tons of information about the area, locals to use for the water taxi, etc. She also put us in contact with one of our favorite things from the week: Dixie, a wonderful local woman who we hired twice during the week to come to the house and cook dinner. We all immensely enjoyed our time with Dixie and her food was divine! While only novice divers (we did two dives this week: SPECTACULAR!), we are all practiced and well seasoned snorkelers. We have snorkeled in Aruba, the Bahamas, USVI, Cancun and Grand Cayman and we all agreed the snorkeling on the Roatan reef was without question the best we’ve ever done. It was simply perfect. Fantastic water clarity, hundreds of species, never ending reef formations and super calm waters. There is some fun little snorkeling right off the dock at the house and in truth spent a fair bit of our “down” days doing just that. But West End Wall was a walk/water taxi ride away and was phenomenal, and then we hired Big John, for a nominal fee, to take us out in his water taxi m to do a couple of drift snorkels along the reef wall….equally phenomenal. We are all excited to return some day, hopefully soon!

We stayed here with 3 kids and 3 adults and was plenty of room for all 6 of us. The location is great; easily accessible between West Bay and West End. The Boat Bar is fabulous and just next door, and for those who love to dive - Clearwater Adventures is a quick walk down the beach and was fantastic. Property Manager Mary was very responsive and addressed any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family loved this property for so many reasons. First, the hosts, Sarah and Mary were great to work with, often providing help and recommendations well in advance. Second, the location is ideal - nestled between West Bay and West End it is a quiet and wonderful beach which you can snorkel from directly. Third, the house is well-equipped, spacious and comfortable and we very much appreciated the pool. It really was the perfect getaway for our family of 5.

Mary thank you so much for allowing us to stay at the Lazy A beach house and for all of the advice that you gave my family and my friends. The Lazy A served as the centerpiece for the best vacation that we have experienced, and we have gone to some pretty amazing places. Denesse and all of the dive masters at Clearwater Adventures were the crown jewels of our time in Roatan. We spent five of our eight days in Roatan with Clearwater. Every family that goes to Roatan should experience the Clearwater Cultural Tour. We did it on the first full day that we there, and it established the perfect framework for the rest of the vacation. Denesse motivated us to get involved with the Crawfish Rock Village elementary school, I am currently in the process to see if we can get the school set with a basic internet capability and Chromebook/computers conduct distributed education. Some technicians and I might be renting the Lazy A in the near future in order to set all of that up. Dixie's food was excellent, and we loved talking with her, watching her cook and getting to know her nephew/son. He is a remarkable young man. Rigo squared us away om transportation to and from the airport, as well as nature parks, Coxen Hole key points and local food joints. We loved Big John's Water Taxi service. Mary was fabulous, and ensured we had everything that we needed. You have a very special place. We will back to the Lazy A soon. We already miss those glorious sunsets.

My family of 4 and our friends (family of 3) traveled to Roatan for vacation recently. We completely loved this home and it’s location. The views were amazing on every level and there just wasn’t a bad spot to relax and enjoy the ocean. We did snorkeling right off the shore and saw many beautiful fish, including a seahorse! Red Macaws flew over us each afternoon. We could walk a short distance to grab a bite to eat or take a water taxi to West Bay or West End. The only issue we had was the sharing of the pool with the guests of the apartment. This wasn’t included in the listing and we were caught off guard by this and the pool isn’t large so our party of 7 didn’t leave room for sharing of that space. I asked upon arrival about that because the guest was actually in the pool when we arrived. We were assured it wouldn’t be an issue but it became an issue. Once I reached out to the owner it was resolved and we didn’t have any further issues. I would recommend coming and staying at Lazy A anytime and the owner was super great at communicating and was helpful on every level. Ms. Mary helped us in every way, as well. This was a great home and location couldn’t be better.

This is an amazing property in an incredible location. The snorkeling right off the dock was spectacular. What a treat to be able to walk the beach to dozens of great bar’s & restaurants. Beds are crazy comfy. House is a bit hard to find, so be sure you know where you’re going (or ask for a transfer to be arranged). Pool was PERFECT, and what a treat to have a screened in porch to hide from the killer mozzies & noseeums. Very very thankful to have been able to stay at The Lazy A. Thank you!!

This house was perfect for the 4 of us staying there. It’s right in the middle of west bay and west end and easy to travel either way with about a 5 minute water ride. The house itself was very nice and comfortable. Ac in every room and beautiful views of the ocean. The owner and property manager were very nice and accommodating, they were quick to help or answer any questions we had while staying there. Would highly recommend this rental to anyone staying in Roatan.

This place is in a perfect location. Restaurants close by with in walking distance. Plenty of water taxis to go into town. We would all rent this place again.

Beautiful scenery. Snorkelling 20 feet from the beach in the most gorgeous reef. You don’t even need to book a snorkelling trip. Palm trees, scarlet macaws, hummingbirds, agouti right there. Best part of the island for sure. The Honduran people are super sweet and everything is a walk or water taxi away.

Lazy A beach house was the perfect home for seven of us. Each bedroom having your own private bathroom was fabulous! The beds were very comfortable. We took advantage of the game room with some serious air hockey and Foosball games. The kitchen had everything you would ever need. We are a cooking family and we enjoyed the spice cabinet and all the condiments in the fridge for us to use. The screened in porch was used all the time for morning coffee and evening barbecues. We found the trick to reverse the fan above the barbecue to lessen the smoke. Every evening our group would head to the dock in front of the home with a beverage to watch the sunset. And daily to just hang out. We played cards at the round table and my favorite was the wooden swingbench. The walk to West Bay was a easy 20-25 minute walk which is wall to wall restaurants. And a few big hotels at the end. There are restaurants and bars within the Turtle/ Orchid beach area that you can walk to. Our friends ate dinner at Ibagari twice. They loved the menu and it's a short walk a few buildings over. We also used Clearwater adventure divers for a snorkel and scuba trip. It's the next dock over. 5 minute walk. The snorkeling directly in front was awesome. It is very shallow. Which means all the sealife is close. Please be aware to not kick the coral. And use only reef safe sunscreen. The bugs are horrendous on Roatan. The no-seeums are brutal. Keep protection on you 24-7. Double up from the knees all the way to your toes. Bring some Vics too. That seemed to help biting and itch. There is some bug spray under the sink we would spray daily at all the out door entrances and around the kitchen floor. I can't say enough about how wonderful Lazy-A beach house is. Sarah is wonderful to work with. She answers messages in a timely manner and Mary the manager is close for any immediate needs. She even bought us T.P and Mayonaise from Eldons. Which is the big grocery store in Coxen Hole. Have your driver stop there after you're picked up from the airport. Sarah can arrange the airport pickup for you. Mary will give you all the necessary phone contacts thru WhatsApp. Water and land taxi numbers. Download WhatsApp before you arrive. This is the messaging app all use on Roatan. And all else enjoy the wonderful swimming pool for nice cool offs. There is also a plethora of board games and cards. Enjoy Lazy -A! We sure did😉

First of all....WOW!! Our stay was extremely pleasant and we felt so very at ease. Sarah was so helpful to communicate with online. Mary met us when she arrived and Sarah and Mary both suggested Rigo come pick us up. We immediately felt so welcome and ease to just be ourselves. Rigo is very professional and drove us around the island and even took us to the grocery store after he picked us up from the airport. Mary was very knowledgeable and accommodating and answered all of our questions. The beauty of the location cannot be matched. Use the water taxi's to go to West End and the Walk to West Bay is a nice stroll with constant breathtaking views. The snorkeling right out the back door was quite enjoyable and great for beginners to get their snorkel feel just right before going out with Big John to the shipwreck. We highly recommend the stay at Lazy A and if we would love to come back for another stay! Just remember to use bug spray at dawn and dusk as those little bitie critters will enjoy feasting on non locals! lol Also scuba diving just a few steps away from the property with Clearwater Adventures with Denise. EXCELLENT SCUBA EXPERIENCE!

We had a great stay at Lazy A Beach house. The owner, Sarah, was very quick to respond with any questions that I had. House was perfect for 8 adults and very comfortable. The driver, Rigo, who picked us up from the airport is also available for tours of the island or just transportation. I wish I had known that before already setting up a tour-he is a great guy. We did use him many times. Beach and snorkeling in front of the house was beautiful. I would definitely recommend Lazy A as a great place to stay.

It is just as described and shown in the photos. About 1/2 way between the two best spots on the island - West Bay and West End. Sarah, the owner, is easy to work with and Mary, the property manager, is full of good tips and easy to reach, The house is large and has everything you need. The view is outstanding. Book it, you’ll like it.

Our party of 5 enjoyed everything about the Lazy A Beach House. The house was better than advertised. The location is probably the best location on the entire island, halfway between West Bay & West End. Snorkeling right in front of the beach house was amazing. Everyone in our party is already planning on coming back and staying here again.

We had a wonderful time in Roatan. The house is located in a great location. It has a game room. The rooms are spacious. The views are amazing. Our BIG issues were that the island has power outages from time to time. Most homes in the area have back up generators. We lost power for approximately 10 hours in the HEAT in our sleep. We couldn't sleep due to the heat. We had an event to get ready for and we could not due to no electricity. The food in the fridge was warm upon our return. The plumbing and water pressure was also an issue. I really dont like that I have to post this but feel people should know. Had we known this, we would've chose a different place with a backup generator & better water pressure. Other than that, it was great. Mary the local manager is wonderful. Rosa our local cook was amazing!! Everyone is really nice. We all had a wonderful time and plan to return to Roatan soon.

Such a great location for our first trip to Roatan. Walking distance to the boat bar and a short water taxi to west end or west bay! The house is great with fantastic open area, swimming pool, screened porch and shared dock. Lots of room to spread out with a larger group.

We were searching for a place to vacation with friends and experience Roatan. Lazy A Beach House was a perfect choice. The house is ideal for 2 to 8 people. We were 2 couples interested in a home base for scuba diving. I doubt we could have found a better location for our purposes. The house has everything you could want, including a complete kitchen and patio grill. Want or cook? You'll have everything you need. Clearwater Adventures is a boutique dive operator right nextdoor. If you are divers, look no further. They are the best. Watch the incredible sunsets in from the dock and then text Big John's water taxi to take you to West End or West Bay to numerous dining options. Easy peasy. Mary, the property manager, will set you up up with every contact you might need. 15 minutes after arriving, you will know all you need to know for a perfect stay. My friends all complemented me on my vacation planing. Thanks to Sarah and Mary for making me look like a professional travel agent. We'll be back.

We had a group of 7 coming from all over the US for a little reunion trip. It was everyone’s first time in Roatan and we will absolutely be back. The Lazy A was well appointed and we absolutely loved being in Orchid Bay area. The owner was very helpful, as was the onsite property manager. Very communicative.
