Der Pub ist sehr gemütlich und genau so wie man sich ein Pub auf dem Dorf vorstellt. Die Zimmer sind eigentlich sehr schön geschnitten und auch ein gerichtet. Es gab immer saubere Handtücher. Super nettes Personal und wahnsinnig guter Thai im kooperierenden Restaurant nebenan. Die Menschen dort machen jeden Makel, der aufgeführt wird, (fast) wett.
Das Bad war eigentlich neu, wurde aber mit zwei alten Schränken möbliert, die deutliche Gebrauchsspuren haben und wo wir nicht sicher waren, was alt war und was verdreckt. Rund um die Toilette war es sehr notdürftig zusammengebaut und ranzig. Das WC selbst aber sauber. An den Fenstern waren Spinnweben innen wie außen. Die Betten wirkten neu und sauber, allerdings wurden die Matratzen-Topper weggelassen, daher konnte man sämtliche Springfedern ziemlich deutlich spüren. Das war schade.

The room was too small and packed. Even there was no chair. It would be better with more lighting. It was disturbing and noisy with other guests leaving next room. To sum up, we were a bit disappointed with the money paid.

The room exceeded our expectations, there was plenty of room and it was very clean. The staff and locals were very friendly, we spoke of going into Oxford the next day and everyone warned us about parking so we opted to get the bus. There was a bus that went straight from the village green into Oxford centre, which took around 30 mins, and this was ideal. The bus stop was a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

The mould in bathroom. No extractor fan working. Mould in medicine cabinet. Towels not changed after 1st night so didn't dry for further use. Bins not emptied. No cooked breakfast in with price.....fobbed off with a banana, apple and choc-au-pain.

The Thai meal was excellent. Very friendly reception and service in the bar. Superb location for work in Oxford. I'd definitely stay again. Sparkling clean and huge en suite shower room that looked brand new.
I would have liked breakfast to be available in the bar (but I knew it wasn't when I booked!).

The accommodation is adjacent to an old pub and located in a nice village outside of Oxford. I stayed for one night, as I had to urgently travel for work. The room was spacious with all the necessary amenities. It's at the back of the pub and pretty quiet. The even provide a small continental breakfast in the room. The staff was very accommodating despite my late arrival.
The shower in the bathroom was either very hot or too cold, I haven't figured out the right settings for it.

Clean cosy well-appointed rooms behind nice country pub with friendly staff.
1. The pub's smoking area is the courtyard right outside the rooms.
2. The water had been cut off in Oxford (not the pub's fault) but they made no effort to provide guests with even a litre of bottled water, which was both poor customer service and a hygiene risk. We really needed a 2L bottle for washing / toilet flush etc.
