A perfectly placed hotel. Beautifully decorated and furnished. A hidden gem with free tea and coffee throughout the day and a lovely little terrace to sit and enjoy them on.

Die Lage in der Fussgängerzone hat uns super gut gefallen. Die Linzer Gasse ist belebt mit sehr schönen Geschäften, Restaurants und Cafes aber längst nicht so überfüllt wie z.B. Getreidegasse. Man kann mit dem Auto nicht direkt vors Hotel fahren aber das nahegelegene Parkhaus ist in 5 Minuten sehr gut zu erreichen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr charmant und nicht zu überladen. Kaffee, Tee, Getränke und kein kleines Frühstück am Morgen kann man sich selber nehmen und schreibt seinen Verzehr auf einen Zettel den man dann an die Rezeption gibt. So ist man zeitlich vollkommen ungebunden, was uns persönlich sehr gut gefällt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Badezimmer ist sehr modern eingerichtet. Man hat den Charme eines alten Hauses aber allen Komfort. Man kann den Reinigungsservice aussetzen und bekommt dafür 5,-€ gutgeschrieben. Dafür muss man bis morgens 10:00 Uhr einen Anhänger an die Türklinke des Zimmers hängen. Wir fanden dies eine geniale und umweltschonende Idee. Insgesamt hat uns das Hotel Amadeus in allen Bereichen überzeugt und wir würden beim nächsten Salzburg-Besuch jederzeit wieder dort buchen.

Very good location - just on pedestrian street and walking distance from every sightseeing spot. Clean and cosy rooms. Nice option for good morning coffee with small croissant (despite no official breakfast). 20 min on taxi from airport (meter taxi and Bolt) can drive you basically to the door (Uber to closest cross road/street). Well organized access for late arrival as there is no 24h reception.
Very slow wifi. Our room did not have
A/C, the pedestrian street might be a bit noisy in the evening if there is the need to keep windows open.

Location excellent, rooms and beds comfortable and warm. Communal tea coffee breakfast room on ground floor was a nice space to meet other people and relax.
Restricted shower and toilet cubicle in the family apartment: tall people will need to bend over to shower/toilet as it has very restricted head space. Very weird design.

Made was not made, very crampy shower cabin. Breakfast facilities. After 18.00h no staff to assist with the check-in procedure, which is quite impersonal.

The hotel was wonderful! Across the river from the busy town of Salzburg but definitely walkable into town. Lots of outdoor dining, cocktails in the afternoon and early evening. We really enjoyed the hotel and our stay in the beautiful town of Salzburg ❤️

The staff were very accommodating as we had emailed when we booked that we did not want a 4 poster bed( we don’t like them) and when we entered our room it was a 4 poster! The staff changed it immediately and apologised.
Complementary croissants and afternoon cake given. If you want a full breakfast, there a places near by but we vouched for croissants.
Great central location! Good value for money!

We liked the location very much, unfortunately, we arrived late due to our train delay and were only staying one night. The staff was awesome, welcoming us late, arranging a cab to Hellbrunn's castle in the morning,(great place!), and the croissant breakfast was well worth the added cost! Walkable to the train station and all of old town attractions.

Lovely building, comfortable, clean room (chocolate on pillow a nice touch), great location (right next to church cemetery where Mozart’s father and wife as well as Paracelsus are buried), easy walk to all the historic sites. the train station is about a 15-20 minute walk. The woman at the reception was helpful, furnished a map and showed where to help myself to beverages. There is no full breakfast but nice croissants were available.

Great location, clean, calm and cosy atmosphere. coffee and tea available all day, also croissants morning time and it’s free of charge.
Reception works till 18.00. - quite weird for 4 star hotel. Confirmed double bed actually was 2 single beds together, fortunately we could change as hotel was not full. Lack of breakfast, but due great location it’s possible eat nearby. otherwise everything was ok.

This hotel is beautifully located in the centre of the old town.
The included breakfast was extremely disappointing and definitely not value for money. It consisted of one tiny croissant and herbal tea or coffee. This was barely a snack and no where near sufficient for breakfast. Other hotels in the city offer a better service. To add insult to injury the staff were not welcoming nor helpful.

Fantastic location, beautiful building and rooms, very clean and tidy, helpful staff, great selection of teas in the lobby.
It would be great if they offered breakfast at the hotel (at the time of writing this review there is only tea and nibbles available). Our original room reeked of smoke when we got it (it is a non-smoking hotel); staff were super helpful when asked to give us another room, but did not offer anything themselves: we had to come up with a solution and ask for it.

The hotel was better than I expected! I don't think the photos online do it justice. The room was nice, and I really enjoyed the tea and coffee facilities downstairs in the lounge. It was nice to be able to hang out with others I was traveling with in the lounge. The room was warm and well-insulated from noise. The free croissants in the morning were nice as well.
