Si vous n'êtes pas prêt pour l'océan, détendez-vous à la piscine de 16 x 32 'et au bain à remous pour 6 personnes. Après la baignade, rincez-vous dans la douche d’eau chaude extérieure située près du parking couvert situé à l’extérieur du salon, avec son mobilier flambant neuf. Les enfants et les «jeunes de cœur» peuvent accéder immédiatement à la télévision, au wet-bar, au réfrigérateur, au micro-ondes et à la chaîne hi-fi. Il y a un accès au pont sur 3 côtés, dont un porche avec une table à manger donnant sur la piscine. Overall we had a wonderful time staying at this home. It is a bit run down from the wear and tear from being a rental home and the interior was mostly clean albeit quite outdated. The exterior could use a good power washing & fresh paint as there was a lot of webs etc. throughout. But we had an absoltely wonderful time here and felt comfortable with the accomodations as listed by the owner. The proximity to the beach was our favorite part as we could walk to the beach within a couple of minutes which was so great having some younger kids with us.
We would happily stay here again.

The house is in need of repair. Nails popped up on stairs and decking. Tvs in bedrooms too small. I never got to watch tv in my room because other people were watching TV. Apparently in this house you can only watch a certain number of TVs at one time. This present a problem as it rain three days of our week. The dishwasher wasn't working and then finally completely broke

Our Family had such a great vacation at this lovely home. The layout was perfect for each segment of the family to have their own space. Weather was not cooperative, but we made the best of it by enjoying the pool (heated) and hot tub. It was our first time in the area, and we loved it. The home had all the amenities we needed and I can envision us renting there again. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home.

The house was clean, but starting to show some wear. The pool deck was filthy, and the pool heater wasn't on. My husband turned the heater on the Sunday after we arrived and turned it off before we left. The pool was never serviced during the week. The grill was unusable. There were full ashtrays all over the pool deck, and there were no deck umbrellas. There were two broken chairs on the screened in porch. We have rented the house for six years And although these were some of the items we feel weren't up to par, we enjoyed our week in comfortable surroundings.

This was a great house for our family. We loved the location near the walkway to the beach entrance. Pros: pool and hot tub were great, pool chairs and furniture was plastic, but it was functional and plenty of chairs available, kitchen tools/cookware was adequate, nice to have both gas and charcoal grill options, enjoyed the screened-in porch, great decks and crow's nest for views, family room/dining area had enough chairs, good wifi. Cons: some maintenance issues (dryer vent blocked, some drains clogged when we arrived, loose board on deck step - Shoreline OBX maintenance responded the next day after contacted), mattresses need replacing, loose tile near front door, not all stove burners working, Direct TV access was limited to 3 TVs at a time (even though all master bedrooms had TVs) so not all TVs were functional when most wanted to relax and watch at night. Overall we had a nice week.

The location of this home in proximity to the beach was perfect.
The house itself was incredibly clean and well kept.
While there were three active floors to the home… It was easy to navigate for our two year olds without assistance. Carpeted stairs with easy to grab railings meant that adults weren’t chasing the children up and downstairs the entire time. The kitchen had every cooking utensil and pot and pan we might have needed- probably more so (crock pot, electric griddles, stock pots, crab hammers…etc.)
The communication about checking in early and checking out of the property was spot on.
We would happily rent this home again.

Comfortable home suited our family very well. Kids loved swimming in the pool after a day at the beach. We loved riding our bikes around and the neighborhood ice cream truck. Seafood boil was one of the best dinners we had of the week. Kitchen had more than what we needed. It would have been nice if the lawn was mowed. Saw that some of the neighbors have nice lawns and volleyball sets…that would have been nice.

OBX Whalehead drive
944 Whalehead Dr was perfect for our family. Easy walk to beach, great pool and hot tub. Lots of room for all. We brought a baby gate for the stairs from the living room, which was helpful. Would have appreciated having more gates in the house as we had a 15 month old.

Family beach vacation
Nice house for the whole family and pups to spread out and enjoy. Short walk to the beach, there were a lot of steps to get to the beach that could prove challenging for older guest. Towels and lines were provide which is definitely a plus, there weren’t any dish towels in the kitchen but we made due. Kitchen was roomy for multiple cooks and bakers at once. Over all my family had a great time and enjoyed the house very much. Another successful OBX vacation in the books.

Great Week at the Beach
We had a great time, it was a great location super close to the beach path and a short drive away from shopping, restaurants and water sports. The house itself was clean, the linens could use an upgrade for sure and clean chairs to sit on on the deck would have been ideal (it wasn’t worth calling about this, we just brought up our beach chairs). And the lack of toilet paper when we got there was a little chaotic (I forgot to pack mine so it was on us, but having a few rolls there would have made it easier after the long car trip). Overall it was great, a good size, a lot of outdoor space, pool was awesome and we had a great time,

This is the worst house we have stayed at since we started vacationing in the OBX 10 years ago.The king bed frame broke, table in the pool area fell apart, one pool chair broke while sitting on it, no umbrellas for shade, only one broken beach chair, two blenders did not work and the first replacement was very cheap- Would not blend for smoothies (beach vacations - blenders very important) The oven burner was not cleaned properly and caught on fire. Not enough sheets for the beds and the internet which runs the TVs went out; the number on instructions listed a company no longer servicing the house. A couple days into the stay a rash of auto break ins occurred including two of our cars. The proximity to the beach was good. The owner is lucky to have such a competent management company. Shoreline and just being in the OBX with my family made up for the substandard home - will know better next time, I will ask if the house is up for sale - it appeared the owner no longer cared about the home.

Perfect Beach Home
This home was perfect. Location was amazing. Very close to the walkway to the beach and to the grocery store. This home was so spacious. Bedrooms were perfect size. Kitchen had everything you need. Pool had perfect temperature. Only thing our hot tub was out of service the whole time. We would definitely rent this home again.

This is a great property, we had 11 people 4 adults and 7 kids. They all enjoyed the week. Beach was very close, about one block and the pool was great. Afternoon sun for swimming into the night. Bedrooms were all good sizes and the kitchen was perfect. Lots of counter space.

My family (5 adults & their children) booked this property for a wks vacation and it was great!! Everyone enjoyed the proximity to the beach along with the private pool and hot tub. Plenty of room for everyone to have some private time, if needed with a living space large enough for everyone to share comfortably. The biggest downside was the condition of the decks and deck furniture, a lot of cobwebs and the furniture had not been cleaned for sometime, one of the doors to the outdoor dining area was hanging of it's hinges - as we did not have to make use of it we let it be. We checked in on a holiday weekend so did not try to contact the rental agency and just made do. Some of the sheets were the wrong size for the beds but again check in was after hours on a Holiday weekend so we improvised. Everything else was great!

The office staff at Shoreline OBX were extremely helpful and professional. The online maintenance form was convenient and service was super fast. The only real issues we feel need addressed are that the beach house needs a thorough cleaning and updated. The shower doors in the master king bedroom are moldy and broken and all the woodwork needs a good cleaning. The kitchen appliances could use a good cleaning and updated as well. We were somewhat disappointed with the poolside loungers and furniture. The umbrellas for the table were both broken and left in the corner. We did find the size of the beach house adequate and the location to the beach was excellent.

The house could be a 5 star if it had a thorough beginning of the peak season/spring cleaning. The mounds of dust on the toilet paper holders, window frames and sills and grease and dust on top of the refrigerator are just a few examples that the house had not had a deep cleaning in quite a while. Windows could be wiped as well. We found other "cleaning" issues when we arrived, however when we contacted the agency, prompt attention was given to our immediate requests and needs - minus the deep cleaning. We had to rent a gas grill because the 2 there are charcoal and very outdated and dirty. the top floor bathroom shower doors are off the track and the toilet sticks sometimes, but nothing we couldn't live with for a week. The house is conveniently located to the beach, however unless you carry your beach cart up and down the many steps to get over the dunes, you'll have to leave it at the beginning of the steps.

One of the shower curtains in the second level bathroom was also moldy. We cleaned the mold ourselves. The fans were also extremely dirty, and th one on the lower level had to be cleaned by one of the occupants.
