Great location just opposite train station

amenities were excellent !The route inn is my hotel of choice when staying in Japan. I loved the public bath and the Japanese breakfast was exceptional. The staff in the restaurant breakfast area were so welcoming and polite, I have not experienced this level of service in 5 star hotels so 10/10 for them. There was one particular English speaking women who may of been the duty manager who was exceptional in both customer service and attention to detail. she is an asset to this property and her English skills were exceptional.

Maybe the male front desk staff could learn some English skills but other than that I can not fault the hotel.

Very convenient location, just outside the station. The breakfast is actually good. The staff are very friendly and even helped me ship my luggage to another location.

Close to Yamagata JR station.

The bed was nearly as hard as concrete. The pillows were too tall. The AC had mold on the directional blades There was a hair of the cleaning staff in the fridge.

the hotel is very centralized, I liked having covered parking, the staff, everyone was very kind.

It was walking distance to the train station. The public onsen was big but can get crowded. The breakfast buffet spread was above average.

I feel that the front office staff could be a little more understanding and friendlier to foreigners who do not speak the language.

Great location for a tour around Yamagata prefecture! Nice staff too!

Electricity was down once when we tried to plug two hairdryers and a kettle together.

Everything was good! just add some western breakfast options / vegetarian options.

The food is great

The rooms smelled like underarms / onion the moment you enter. They did not prepare the room before you enter. There are hairs in the bed which is not mine. The onsen has dirt and smelled like chemical. Poor cleaning.

It was affordable and it met our expectations. Right in front of the train station, although we went by car so that didn't matter much to us. Breakfast was more than we expected! Lots of variety to choose from, but it got super crowded. They have parking which you have to pay for separately, but is still affordable and convenient.

The beds were quite uncomfortable, although that's usually a standard in these kind of business hotels. I really wish they had an option to request softer pillows, though. My neck suffered the consequences. No restaurant, spa or any of the additional services were available, likely due to it being the New Year holiday.
