The location was perfect with lovely views over the port. Valparaiso is very hilly and the hotel is on top of one of the many hills which can be challenging, although there is a funicular nearby. Our room was very nice and breakfast was very good. The staff were extremely helpful with advice on where to eat, what to see, booking a transfer to the airport and so on. We were able to check out late as we had a very late flight at no extra cost. In addition there are lovely public rooms for reading and a beautiful garden for relaxing in.

This is a bed and breakfast hotel. We happened to be there over the Easter weekend when many places were closed or had limited opening hours. A bar or facilities in the hotel for a drink would have been nice. This is NOT a criticism, water was provided in the room and we knew when we booked.

El personal del Hotel fue realmente amable durante toda la instancia, facilitándonos información turística para aprovechar al máximo la visita, ayudándonos con la gestión de transporte (Santiago - Valparaíso). El desayuno era fantástico, ingredientes naturales y de diversa variedad. Volvería 100% a Palacio Astoreca en mi próxima visita a Valpo

el lugar es bonito. se nota que FUE un hotel de lujo.

el hotel se veia muy bien, pero no tenia servicios. lo primero que me dijeron cuando ingrese era que el restuarante y bar estaban cerrados. luego me sorprendi al saber que no habia ninguna estacion de cafe, ni en el lobbie ni en las habitaciones. eso me parecio un falta absoluta en el servicio. podria entender que el bar este cerrado y restaurante. pero podrian tener cafe hecho por una cafetera simple en la recepcion... tuve que salir a buscar un cafe para tomar. luego al regresar en la noche se demoraron en abrirnos y nos parecio que todo el staff estaba en una de las terrazas fumando y tomando con sus amigos, ya que creo eramos los unicos huespedes en el hotel. esto al igual que la falta del cafe me parecio una situacion super incomoda y que no deberia pasar en un bueno hotel ya que la buya llegaba a nuestra habitacion. senti que en hubiera recibido mucha mejor atencion en un holiday inn. en ese sentido. el costo de habiatacion me parecio un exceso. el desayuno si estubo fantastico.

It is a really nice hotel. The experience was great. The location is amazing.

The hotel staff went above and beyond for us. We arranged airport pickup and drop-off which worked perfectly. We also took their recommendations for a restaurant nearby since the hotel restaurant was closed. They arranged the reservation and the meal was superb. We also received a complementary upgrade for a room with fantastic view, which we appreciated. Recommend that you reach out directly to the hotel if you need "extras."
