North Indian food

The restaurant seevice, food was excellent.. .

Cleanliness of the room is really a concern, frequent power cut was an issue in the hotel. Mostly the service staff are not experience and with out any uniform. Tidiness of Bath room , accessories , tissues, towels etc are very poor.

Only location

Dinner was buffet and the hotel kept the same 2 NV dishes the second day. How can you offer the exact same menu in your buffet. Wash area was unclean. Bathrooms and toilet was badly maintained. Overall the entire family wasn't happy. I had to ask for a GST bill multiple times despite being charged for GST.

The hotel room was very congested and not worthy for this much room rent'

We stayed there for three days during these days the room was not cleaned by anyone very worst.

Its on the main road Rooms are big enough..not small ones.

Its not in a scenic place. Its okyl, if you just want to sleep in a decent place. Beds are not much comfortable.

The breakfast was a buffet but the choices were limited. On Jan 15, we had semiya, Poha, bread and so on. My wife who comes from Maharashtra and makes Poha at home gave her piece of mind on preparing this better! Tea was offered and coffee had to be ordered though no extra payment was required. For breakfast another 7/10. The Majestic Crown was a pleasant place to stay and was located in the heart of Ooty. We had planned a Chennai to Mysuru (Vande Bharat train) and Mysuru to Ooty by KSRTC's Airavat Club Class bus via Bandipur and Mudumalai Tiger Reserves. We were looking for a hotel in Mysuru Road and this property was 1.1 km before Ooty bus stand in the Rohini Junction. KSRTC was kind enough to stop in front of the hotel! This could be a 2-star place ideal for tourists from Bangalore/Mysore area and Kerala side who come from Gudalur direction. The room we stayed in was in the basement and a four bedder (two double beds). Ideal for a husband, wife and two children 13 and 22. The Pongal weekend was perhaps the coldest and The Hindu reported that the Finger Post area of Ooty recorded -6.73. Shocking for us as we had anticipated +5C low and +12C high. The lobby was open with outside air freely moving in and made our stay miserable. There were no fixed heaters in our room or lobby or dining hall. We rented one portable heater for Rs.300 additional payment per day! Since our check-in time was after 6 pm, the hotel was kind enough to hold the room for us although we had not made any advance payment. For the reception service we can give 7/10. They accept Credit/Debit cards for main payments and wallets or cash for smaller payments.

The toilet had open vents so cold air was coming in. We required four mobile charging points but only two were present. Toilet seat was old. Cots had sharp edges and I was injured.

except the facade of the building and lobby nothing else is good

each and every bit of the hotel ( if I have to call it) is worse … during my trip to Ooty I had stayed here and it just worst experience of any place I had been so far.. room was untidy, blankets were smelling, the sanitary ware/ fittings were loose or broken already, bathrooms very dark n not clean, walls were patchy, they don’t provide heater but for additional cost .. which doesn’t work well either ..I had to do early check out to get away from such worst hotel ever.

Only size of room is big.

Food quality is very pathetic. Breakfast complementary but no proper menu . Hotel shef is not trained to make proper Chinese as well as North Indian food.
