Frist off Johnsonville n.c. is 20 miles from downtown murphy n.c. and the road noise dont calm down until 11-12 midnight but picks back up at 5:30 am now thats the bad here is the good nice house very clean and you are secluded the beds were nice and the porchs were nice to sit out on driveway can made with a two wheel drive but all wheel or 4 wheel drive would be highly recommended

A very beautiful cabin that was so peaceful. My husband & I loved the location & the actual cabin itself. We stayed for two nights & enjoyed every minute of it. We even saw some random snow flurries. I highly recommend this place.

The property and house were very clean and it’s a very private location. We would stay there again.

Perfect cabin for a respite, or as a base camp for outdoor activities. It’s a true hidden mountain cabin, so note that you will need 4 wheel drive to confidently navigate the long steep gravel driveway. My Subaru did fine, but my sister’s front wheel drive had to be parked at the bottom of the hill, which turned out to be ok. The cabin is charming and well stocked. We appreciated Dan the owner being available when we had any issues.

The cabin and property exceed description — check-in could not be easier. Cabin is very clean. Exceptionally private, great spot for a secluded getaway for either a romantic weekend with the spouse or a vacation spot to take the kids. The fire pit is great and well stocked with dry, seasoned wood. The private drive leading to the property continues to the top of the hill where there’s a nice gazebo and great view. As others have said, it would be best if you have 4WD (for the first 100 yards of the driveway) but not 100% required if you’re experienced driving on gravel mountain roads/driveways. Highly recommend, INCREDIBLE VALUE!!

Cabin is incredible!!! Views are amazing. Owner attentive and available as needed. ONLY regret...car rental was a van. Van got stuck half way up drive one evening. GET AN SUV, DONT book without 4 wheel drive. It does stay that when booking, but should be a requirement to rent property. Would be super great place to bring your ATVs and all terrain vehicles. Wish we had. Great find, keeping for future rental for sure! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

Home was dirty when arrived. Had to clean before relaxing. No pantry space for guest. Closests and drawers were all full and unusable. Fireplace wouldn’t stay lit. But that was because the gas people had come out prior to arriving on property. Neighbors shot guns all night and day. Walks around the property we’re beautiful. Location was amazing. The property it’s self was amazing. Property manager was really nice. And as soon as I had issues sent the maintenance man over. He was very professional and very local. I personally wouldn’t be back to this property. It’s about 20 minutes from the casino.

The cabin location was great, easy drive to town, had everything we needed for the stay. The real tree set it off nicely! The driveway didn’t disappoint, I always try and book something that you need 4x4 to get to, just get get off the beaten path. Thanks!

This cabin sits up a steep drive with areas to walk and explore all around - a gorgeous view at the top. Cabin has all the amenities, all the kitchen essentials that we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner. We were 4 adults, 2 children, and a golden retriever and it was perfect for us!

This cabin was amazing! First and most importantly, it was spotless. This was definitely the cleanest rental I've ever seen. Secondly, the size and layout we're both perfect. We had four adults but six adults could have easily stayed comfortably at this cabin. Lastly, the location was great. The cabin is right off of Main Road but set back in the woods. It's a very private setting but only a short drive in to town. The driveway was definitely a little steep but my SUV made it up with no problem and we didn't even need to use four-wheel drive. I've actually seen steeper streets in San Francisco. I can recommend this cabin without reservation and I hope it's available next year when we go back to North Carolina!

Loved the open and bright floor plan! Property was clean and ready upon arrival. Kitchen is very well stocked. My dogs enjoyed running up the hill and play fetch. Love the master bed and bath set up upstairs!

Everything here was great, very secluded and private. You are a short drive from both Murphy and Blue Ridge. Cabin was clean and well stocked. No cell signal here as others mentioned, which I personally enjoyed but the WiFi here works great if you require it.

Everything was as described in listing. Beware of driveway. Driveway is steep and a 4x4 is a must. The place has everything thing you need. Plenty of room family. Nice deck area and gated for little ones or fur babies can’t escape. Within a short drive to many towns and activities (rafting, hiking, waterfalls and antiquing). Would recommend to friends and family.

We loved the cabin very nice, convenient for our trip as in mileage of our outing. Probably will be rent again!!

We could not get up the steep gravel drive in a 2 wheel drive Lexus SUV. Fortunately another guest had a four wheel drive vehicle and could ferry us and the bags back and forth.

The cabin was great and well set up. We had everything we needed to cook meals and plenty of linens. We stayed with 4 adults and one 12 year old and had a great time. We hiked up to the top of the hill to enjoy the view down the mountain. We were very happy and comfortable in the cabin and enjoyed the fire pit. Dan was very responsive and easy to get in touch with. He responded quickly to all of our questions. The driveway is very steep. We had a 16-foot camper that we were unable to get up the hill, but thankfully we could park it at the bottom during our stay. We have a Chevy Colorado Z71 with rear-wheel drive and could make it up the hill by backing up to the street and gaining some speed before climbing the hill. Our family had a Hyundai Santa Fe, and they were unable to make it up the hill (they repeatedly only made it about 1/3 of the way up). We were able to shuttle everyone and their things up and down the hill until the day we left when it rained, and then we could no longer make it up the hill. We loved the cabin and had a great time!

This cabin was exactly what we needed (and dog friendly!). We were right in the middle of all the activities we wanted to do and had no nearby neighbors. The cabin had anything you could possibly need! The driveway was a bit of a struggle but we did get a lot of rain and I think that had something to do with it. Would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was perfect, decorated for Christmas, stocked with everything you would want for your stay. Dan was super to work with and very easy to get in contact with.

This cabin was perfect! The location is about 10mins from the border of Georgia and Tennessee. We were able to visit different small towns nearby. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was super responsive when we had questions. We would love to stay here again sometime!

The cabin was nice clean a family would enjoy staying here not much to do but relax. The road up to cabin little scary.

This wonderful cabin was conveniently located an easy 20-30 minute drive from at least three great mountain biking and hiking areas. The owner was among the easiest with whom we've ever worked and the cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed ourselves!
