This is a beautiful house. So big & spacious. Perfect for our family of 8 adults and 6 children.
The house had tons of space and we really appreciated the proximity to the beach and all the beach equipment. The kitchen was well equipped and appliances top notch. An elevator would have been nice, but guess we needed the exercise. Pam, from the rental agency, was available for any questions or issues we might have. We will definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay at Hunley house immensely. We had several families with young children and older relatives. Lots of space to gather and get a moment of peace. Located on a quiet cul de sac it is an easy walk down the boardwalk to a beautiful beach. Everything you need for a beach vacation is at your finger tips. Would definitely go again.

This gorgeous home is the perfect place to stay when visiting Isle of Palms. The home is huge, charming, and clean! It fit 14 adults perfectly. It overlooks the ocean, is a 5 min walk to the beach, and about a 30 min drive to downtown Charleston. The pictures featured don’t do this home justice - it’s a beautiful vacation rental that you won’t want to leave!

The house is beautiful and the location is wonderful. The beds were cozy and plentiful and the living space accommodated our large group very well. The house has plenty of chairs for the beach and towels. I would say bring garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, and dishwasher detergent pods but other than that we enjoyed our stay very much!

This group of nine friends has been renting VRBOs for years all over the country for an annual reunion. This home was declared the best yet! Kitchen was beautifully stocked, bath towels were in abundance, and views were spectacular. The manager could not have been more accommodating. We would highly recommend this home.

The pictures do not do this property justice! Very nice leather furniture in great room, well stocked kitchen, and great location. Pam Ryker, property manager, was great to work with and was easy to contact. This property works great for family reunions!

This is a must stay for you and your family to the area. Check-in was a breeze and communication with the property manager was stress free. The location in proximity to the beach could not have been easier for our family including the little one in the group. Highly recommended!

Family and Family Fun
House is clean and comfortable and was perfect for our group of adult family and friends! Pictures do not do it justice!! The kitchen is huge and well stocked. Plenty of beach chairs and beach towels, so no need to bring them. Location is wonderful! A few steps to beach access walk and 25 min to downtown Charleston! Host was excellent!

I cannot say enough about the house, it was beautiful and had plenty of room for our wedding party, our reception got rained out so we did it in the garage and it turned out beautiful.

Easter at the Beach
For many years my wife’s parents, sisters and brothers, along with numerous nieces and nephews have rented a vacation house to celebration Easter. Then life happened, parents age and sadly they are no longer here. Then folks move out of state and the last 2 years were hard. This was the year! We decided on the Charleston area and everyone loves the beach! When we found the Hunley, we were thrilled. It was perfect for our large clan. The place was large enough for our numerous dinners and game time. Plenty of beds and bathrooms and the porch is wonderful. The beach is just across the street and it is on a road with no public beach parking!
When we go back to Charleston for our next family get together, I would stay here again!

Perfect house for little kids
The house was great as well as the location. It was big and had most of what we needed except for laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent and trash bags. The dishwasher also broke and I couldn’t get in touch with the property manager in order to get the maintenance guys number. I was able to fix it but it was annoying given that it was my vacation. In the end, I would definitely come back and recommend the stay.

Great, clean house, close to the beach
This house was perfect for our trip. We had plenty of room. We gathered in both the living and kitchen area. We had a pretty large group and the kitchen was a good size for us to all help cook and sit around and chat. The front porch was awesome to sit and enjoy the weather. Great location, super close to the beach. We would stay here again.

Absolutely loved it!
It’s prettier than the pictures! So open and easy for a large family/group to hang out, have dinner, watch movies. Such a short walk to the beach, and the porches are amazing.

College Reunion
Ten of us met at the Hunley House for a college reunion and it was perfect! The house is beautiful, spacious, and has everything you need for a great vacation!

Beautiful beach house
This home was perfect for our family get together! It is close to the beach and they provided plenty of beach chairs and towels. The interior is larger than it appeared in the photos and very nicely decorated. Kitchen had everything we needed.

Great house for a big family gathering
The house was well equipped and comfortable. We especially loved the big porches with ample seating for relaxing and dining.
We enjoyed playing games in the evenings on the porch or at the big dining table. (The Clue game was missing too many parts to be played and the Dominoes seemed to be two sets mixed together. Maybe the games should be inventoried.)

Amazing Place with everything you could possibly need!
They truly had everything to make the stay amazing! Towels, chairs, floats, beach toys . . . it was the perfect location and had perfect amenities. If you were going to fly and not be able to "shlep" your stuff to the beach, this is the perfect place to stay!

Perfect Beach Vacation
The Hunley House exceeded our expectations, the house is spacious, comfortable, extraordinarily well equipped, we found everything we needed: linens, kitchen supplies, beach essentials and not essentials. The close location to the beach made it easy especially considering we had three little children ages 3, 2 and 1. Communication throughout the rental process was easy and Pam responded quickly to every question we had. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and will definitely come back and enjoy Isle of Palms and the Hunley House.

Fantastic House & Location
We had a fantastic week in this large beautiful home. Tastefully decorated, first floor has a wide open & airy floor plan, fully stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need, a very generous supply of towels, lots of items for the beach, garage to park 2 vehicles which allows for 2 more to be parked in the driveway, two big porches with plenty of seating and a large grill. The path to the beach is located right next to the home and with the house being tucked away towards the end of the street it felt very private. Driving into Charleston for a day of shopping or an evening out was an easy drive and a fun city to visit for sure. Our group would happily stay here again!

A gem!
This home was perfect for our three families to meet and enjoy the beach, IOP, Shem Creek and Charleston. The home was spacious, very clean, and had EVERYTHING you needed for your stay, beach, and more. Very easy walk to the beach with boardwalk right next door. Family trip!!
The house and location was exceptional! Everything we needed and then some!! We had a fantastic time. The area was beautiful and there was plenty to do and see. We would love to come back and stay again.

Perfect haven
Hunley House was a perfect spot for our family vacation! The house is larger, more spacious, and even nicer than the pictures show. Very well stocked with all kinds of beach toys, chairs, and inside games. We spent evenings on the wide porches that catch a great breeze at night. The path to the wide, practically private beach is literally one house away.
We originally planned our trip around a family wedding that was to take place in the city of Charleston. With the Covid restrictions in place, we shifted plans, and our son got married on the beach with a small dinner back at the house afterwards. Honestly, it was magical. Pam Ryker was great all through the process. Answered all my queries quickly and check in was super easy. We will definitely return to IOP!

Great family vacation in Isle of Palms
We reserved this property over a year in advance so our entire family could come for this specific week in August. The location was perfect on a quiet street and close to the ocean. The house was spacious, with 2 large porches to sit, read and enjoy the day. We loved the quality of every appliance especially the washer and dryer that was up to the challenge of 6 teenagers! The master bedroom and bath were outstanding and the lovely pictures online of Hunley House were accurate. The property manager Pam was wonderful. She answered all questions promptly by text and assisted us in getting into the house easily. Great place!

Clean, open, bright, well-equipped and well-organized.
Only small drawback is that it is one house off the beach. But the walk to the beach is only 1-2 minutes, and there is good ocean view from the upper deck. This is where we will stay if we return to Charleston for vacation.

Fun family vacation!
We had a wonderful stay at the Hunley House! This property was everything we were hoping for during our stay in Isle of Palms. The house was very clean, well stocked with linens, games, beach accessories and toys and had ample space for our family of 8, which included an infant and a toddler. The kitchen was well equipped and we also enjoyed using the bbq grill out on the deck. Another plus was the close proximity to the beach! We will definitely be staying there again and would highly recommend it to a friend.

Lovely stay at IOP
We took a group of 12 students to the Hunley House and we all loved it. The house has everything you need: a great kitchen, lovely bedrooms, a porch to enjoy the sun and equipment for the kids in the basement. The beach at IOP is also fantastic. Thanks to Pam Ryker for arranging everything perfectly!
