Was unable to check in as the building was locked up. This was early evening. I have tried to contact the hotel continually and had no response. I was unable to stay here and I have still been charged.

Location

I booked a Superior Deluxe Double/Twin Room, but requested a Double, which was confirmed. The room was very basic, barely room to walk around the bed. Lacked any style or comfort. It said there was a seating area within the room. There was just one desk tight in the corner, with a stool under it! I dread to think what the Standard double room is like. It also stated a City view? Firstly this is Warminster, not Bath... and our view was out the back onto a courtyard.

it wasn’t explained that breakfast was not included, also that that the door in the main yard was not to be used by customers until we all got told off for using it one night, Lucy should have explained all this when handing over keys

Car Parking, Continental Breakfast, Staff were vey pleasant and very helpful.

We are OAP'S and we were on the second floor (38 steps up). Wish they had a lift.

Every 30 minutes there was a noise from a pump/toilet or boiler that was so loud and carried on for a minute or two at a time that we got no sleep whatsoever, it was unfortunate as the room wasn’t bad at all, apart from being on the main road which was noisy but that is something we just would put up with anyway

The room was very dated, big crack along ceiling and down the wall, very noisy outside but no fan in room so had to have the windows open. Noisy floor boards from upstairs room, you could here every move they made.

The room was lovely, have stayed pre covid and they were a bit shabby before, can't fault the cleanliness.

Generally the staff were polite but breakfast was a big disappointment, we were okay with having a continental as due to staffing problems they couldn't provide a cooked breakfast, however a couple of loaves of bread dumped by the toaster , yoghurt , plums oranges and some really boring cereal, and no butter for the toast!!! They did offer a refund for the following morning which we took. Such a shame as there breakfasts used to be awesome.

No fan provided for very hot top floor room in heatwave. Glad we brought our own. Adaptations will need to be made for changing environment.

Road noise in front of the hotel. We couldn't watch the TV as it wasn't working (no signal)

A good breakfast, the room was fine and the staff member a very young blonde lady was excellent, very polite and efficient. This young lady raised the standards at the Old Bell. Yes we would use the Old Bell Warminster again!

The toilet seat was very loose but workable! The very long walk with heavy luggage to your room from the car park!

curtain in bathroom didn't give any privacy . People are able to see in when getting in shower or on toilet. Main lights not working. Woken by staff memeber coming into room before 9am when check out was 11am.

How close it was to Longleat and the ease of finding somewhere else to eat and drink

The Hotel room was too small too hot dirty with no hot water it is in a noisy location with inadequate ventilation. Bathroom was discusting

The hotel rooms are a bit tired, hairs in towels.

Food was great

Room was clean, bed was comfortable but limited facilities - i.e. no clock, phone, TV was unwatchable - signal too poor, warm - no ac. Breakfast was good, delivered not buffet so not unlimited.

corridors looked a lot more rundown than the rooms, especially where we were near the unused upstairs function room. One of our two rooms had no window locks and scaffolding on the outside - so not secure. Sort out the TV signal!
