We arrived home yesterday after a 4 night stay at the Elga Hotel. The Elga is a family run hotel with only a small amount of rooms, bar within the reception area, good sized pool and pool bar! Myself and my wife had an amazing holiday and we highly recommend the hotel! It’s your typical Greek family run hotel, rooms were basic (as they generally are in Greece) however were spotlessly clean! As were the pool area and pool bar area! The family were so welcoming and could not do enough for us throughout our stay! I had a good chat about Greek football over a few beers on one of the days with Dimitris (one of the owners) who worked every day behind the pool bar, and nothing was too much trouble! There was a good choice of food and drinks at the pool bar, all at reasonable prices! Food was all cooked fresh to order, beers ice cold and cocktails made from scratch, all with fresh fruits and premium spirits! The hotel is perfectly located and is only a 200 yard walk to harbour area in Kardamena, where all the bars and restaurants can be found. We will certainly be returning to the hotel at some point in the near future! Thank you so much to all the family for such a prefect stay!

Pool was great. Very close to the Beach and restaurants.

I would suggest you to bring your own towels because you cannot take hotel towels to the pool or Beach. Shower is small and with cold water. Also you have to pay additional 6€ for A/C - so keep that in mind

I booked Elga because I like to have a pool to swim in, the room is basic but comfortable and with plenty of space. The vue over the pool and toward the hills was lovely, I had a little balcony with a table and chairs. The bar is one of the only bars in Kardamena to stay open late- if you like that? Staff are welcome and pleasant. I’m definitely staying here again. It’s not luxurious but if you want clean comfortable and great location with pool you would be daft to pay more.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. If you like fresh coffee in your room take a pot with you- I tried to buy one from supermarket but they had none.
