Nissia Kamares is a little oasis hidden in Karademena. It's tucked away from the bustle of the town and beach but yet so close. The rooms are well designed and are set in lovely gardens in a courtyard style. The pool is fine with plenty of beds, if that's your thing. However, the best thing at Nissia Kamares are the people. Whether it's staff on reception, in the bar, in maintenance etc they are all so friendly and helpful. The team there make you feel welcome immediately and go the extra mile if you have any requests. They obviously enjoy working at the hotel and are full of useful information about restaurants, tours, car hire, events etc The morning buffet breakfast from 8 to 11 is a very chilled enjoyable daily event with plenty of choice. It's a boutique style hotel of 30 or so rooms and adds to the friendly atmosphere. I have 4 recommendations as trips: 1) It's worth taking the boat trip to island of Nisyros which remains in the classic Greek whitewash style buildings and a trip up to the amazing Steffano Crater. 2) Hire a car and visit Kefalos beach then wade & swim across to Kastri island. Climb the rocks to the church and ring the bell. Make sure you wear footwear though. 3) Kos is the home of the father of medicine Hippocrates and you can view the tree that he tutored his students in Kos Town. 4) Book an evening coach up to Zia to view the amazing sunset and pre-book a meal in Omoredon restauarant. Enjoy

Driving around and catching sight of the souless, concrete, 'all-inclusive' resorts but knowing that we would return to the lovely Nissia Kamares.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Everything was great! Rich breakfast. Spacious room. By Car: Near the airport. Great base for driving around Kos. Very convenient free parking. Location: A few minute walk to beach and town.

We had a short but wonderful stay at the Nissia Kamares. The hotel is small and beautiful with fabulous gardens. The pool and bar area were spotless and modern while the accommodation is more traditional in style. All the food and drinks we had were excellent, and the breakfast was lovely. Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is excellently located without being impacted by noise from the main streets. We loved it and would definitely return.

Our rooms were very spacious and clean, but were looking a little tired looking and could do with an update. However, it was a minor issue and didn't detract from our stay at all. This was the only negative we could identify!

What a wonderful place to stay. I don’t think I could appreciate why Nissia Kamares gets such great reviews until we stayed there. The pictures we’d seen really didn’t do it justice. Our rooms were just lovely (super clean and stylish) and the gardens are just immaculate and so charming. The pool suited our family down to the ground. Much bigger than I’d expected and great that there was no pressure to get sun beds. We loved the breakfast buffet by the pool every morning till 11 and the bar food was really good. The whole atmosphere so chilled and friendly. The ‘icing on the cake’ though was the amazing staff. They were great fun and worked so hard to look after us. A special thank you to Alex, George and Zacchaeus; you really made our stay very special. Our only tip for booking is do it early and make sure you go for the premium rooms. There are a few rooms that have not been renovated yet and there is a big difference.

Couldn’t fault the property. Our family rated this one of the places they enjoyed staying in the most (and we usually book 4 or 5 star- so there is a lesson there!!!)

The general decor was very welcoming, clean and modern. The lighting, the bathrooms, the kitchenette area were all well kept and modern. The courtyard is very quaint. A small table with chairs was right outside the room to sit and have a drink or just enjoy the balcony.

The rate I was charged through Booking.com and the rate for the rooms normally was not in line. I overpaid. I resented being overcharged for a room that wasn't that expensive. I suppose it was my fault for not realizing that earlier. Had I realized, I would not have used Booking.com which caused me to pay a significantly higher rate for the same room.

This boutique hotel is all you expect for a great start of your vacation. Location, people, room and service all wrapped in a beautify setting.

Such a beautiful Greek hotel, room was lovely and big with air con and the beds were really comfy. Pool was big and perfect temperature, and breakfast was a great way to start the day! Would definitely stay again.

The Hotel is small and feels exclusive, with picturesque landscaping and very friendly staff.

There was an occasional sewerage odour outside next to some apartment rooms but this would not put me returning.

Excellent hotel, great staff, very nice breakfast. Staff provided very good tips for the Island, places to eat beaches to go to. Wi Fi connection excellent, poor area and breakfast area was very comfortable.

Nothing really. Only minor thing I would say that the wooden windows have no grills and therefore no air was coming through when closed. And if someone enjoys his sleep in complete darkness then closing the windows is necessary.

A lovingly designed accommodation with everything you need! The rooms are very nice, clean, bright, with a small balcony or terrace, flowers everywhere and quietly located! You can be at the sea and in the centre of town in just a few minutes. Perfect! The two hosts are incredibly friendly and warm! "Thank you both for the very nice and enriching conversations!
