Beautiful building
No food available at all, not even breakfast. I would have expected a breakfast for what I paid.

Location was not ideal, Baiona would have been better to stay in. Slightly more expensive than other locations

The place itself was beautiful. Location was great, right on the Camino.
There was no kitchen for guest to heat up there meals or even make tea or coffee.

The property was beautiful. The reception staff were warm and inviting. I loved the room that I was in… One of the renovated rooms.

I want to say how pleased and satisfied I was with the accommodations. I stayed here one night on my Portuguese Coastal Camino pilgrimage in October 2022. Arriving at the front door and buzzing in or calling their phone number, someone was always quick to answer. After confirming reservations, I was given keys, wifi password and a thorough explanation of the room and all the available facilities for my use. The bed was made up with clean sheets. The communal rooms ie kitchen, dining room, bathrooms and gathering room were all spotlessly clean, well- stocked and inviting. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. They answered any and all questions I had, such as where is the nearest restaurant, café, grocery store, and pharmacy. I highly recommend staying here if you ever have the opportunity. I look forward to coming back and enjoying their hospitality once more. Don S.

Beautiful grounds with peaceful serenity! Economic room was sufficient for our basic needs.
Staff did not inform us that no breakfast or any food service was possible. Other than a quick check in, we never saw any staff on the premises.

OK price given booked very close to date, while a lot of other nearby places were fully booked. Overall facilities were good for the price paid.

I liked the building and location.
Breakfast wasn’t included, I didn’t even have the option to pay for it bc they were short of staff, the room was so old and the beds were so small. The area was so noisy, there were dogs barking the whole night and chickens in the morning. The walls were so thin so you could hear the full conversation of othe guests.

Simplicity
The step up bathroom was a bad design. Tripping hazard when you forget

- we had a very new, clean and comfortable double room -> felt very luxurious as pilgrims :-)
- amazing garden area to hang out
- good location near the camino
-
- a little bit pricy
- staff seemed to be a little bit stressed during check-in and didn’t really show us around, but there were a lot of people at that time so it was okay

The hotel is perfectly situated on the camino. You have everything you need for a short or a long stay. A great bonus is its magnificent gardens.

Location and grounds were exceptional.
When we arrived and wanted to shower after traveling, we found the towels that were left folded on the bed were actually wet towels, not sure how this could have happened, but it did. Ive never experienced this in any acomodation before. Was very disappointed to say the least. Also in the fact that there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 days. These are the basic requirements. Despite what it said on the information leaflet bout trying to maintain silence, there were people going out early in the morning, banging bedroom doors which was quite annoying to say the least, also some noisy people at night when we were trying to sleep.

Beautiful garden and lobby.
We were told that it is normally a spectacular yoga/meditation retreat. We were unlucky to arrive on the very few days of the year that they rent it for events. It was a first communion celebration which had many young children and family members who were using the entire facility. The ensuing noise went long past their scheduled reservation and prevented us from getting any rest before 10 pm when we had anticipated a quiet afternoon.
The rooms were cramped. The sleeping area was tight and the bathroom was remarkably small. The shower was unpleasant. We thought that the former monastery rooms would have had more charm but they were simply austere.
