Adirondack Waterfront Lodge Close to Old Forge with A/C and Heated Garage
Belle maison en rondins au bord de l’eau située à seulement 1,6 km de la vieille forge. Cinq chambres dont 2 maîtres, une grande chambre avec lits superposés, une chambre avec un lit queen et une chambre avec deux lits jumeaux. Il y a deux espaces de vie (un pour la télévision et un pour les rassemblements au coin du feu, les jeux de famille et le billard) et un beau porche avec moustiquaire donnant sur le lac. La grande cuisine de l'île avec bar est entièrement équipée pour des repas simples ou sophistiqués. Chaque maître a une salle de bain privée, ainsi que deux autres salles de bains aux dimensions généreuses pour les chambres secondaires. La terrasse extérieure avant dispose d'un bain à remous Hot Spring pour les sorties de bateau ou de natation. Il y a aussi une grande buanderie.
Tous ces avantages, avec une grande allée circulaire pour de nombreuses voitures ou un véhicule avec une remorque de motoneige, ajoutent à la commodité de cette propriété.
Premier étage - La porte d'entrée s'ouvre sur une grande cuisine avec une table de salle à manger pouvant accueillir 8 personnes et un îlot de 4 places. Juste à côté de la cuisine est une salle de bain complète. La cuisine comprend également un des deux espaces de vie avec un grand canapé en L et une cheminée à bois. En continuant vers le côté de l’eau de la maison se trouve une chambre trois saisons avec une terrasse couverte et ouverte donnant sur le canal entre l’étang et le lac First.
À l’autre extrémité du premier étage se trouve un autre salon avec télévision et sonorisation complète. Deux chambres sont situées à l’extérieur du salon. Chambre 1 comprend 2 lits jumeaux. Chambre 2 comprend un lit complet.
Passé le 2e salon, il y a un dortoir et une 2e salle de bain complète. Le dortoir comprend 2 lits superposés et 2 lits jumeaux.
Deuxième étage - Après avoir monté le grand escalier en rondins, vous trouverez 2 chambres à coucher. Les deux chambres 4 et 5 contiennent un lit queen avec une salle de bain complète et des portes françaises menant à une terrasse.

My family and I had a great stay. The house is beautiful and in great location to watch the boats go by. But, the property could use a few updates. The big sliding glass door wouldn’t open and there are nails on the deck that need to be pounded in to be safer for kids. One of the boards on the dock is loose and pops completely up if you step wrong. A HUGE snapping turtle lives under the dock, so it wasn’t safe for the kiddos to play by the dock. The turtle pulled a duck under water and ate it in front of us. 😳 For how much it costs for the week, those things should be taken care of by the owner.

My family and I really had a wonderful stay in Old Forge. The house is beautiful and had more available to us than we could have even asked for. There seemed to be a lack of communication though between the owners and the cleaning/maintenance crew. The instructions for the property weren't available as stated in the welcome email, and some things in the house were broken and clearly hadn't been cleaned in awhile. That said, the owner did succinctly respond through VRBO to the few inquiries I sent, and we did really enjoy our time being right on the water in such a spacious, beautiful home.

Absolutely amazing house. Tons of room for everyone in our group. This is the second year we have rented this house for a ski race and we were very glad it was available again. Very clean, tons of room, great kitchen and easy to get to. The kids bunk room was key to this location. I highly recommend this for everyone!

We have a group of 12, the house was large enough with plenty of room to spread out. The pool table, the hot tub, the porch… so many options for us. We will be back!!!

Beautiful property! Rivett’s marina is the place to rent your pontoon boat. Cruises through the Fulton Chain included swimming in all the lakes, some tubing & fun sightseeing. The log staircase was difficult for my parents in their 80’s, and while there are 2 full bathrooms on the first floor, they wanted an attached bath. Super fun vacation for the family! Thank you!

This was our second stay here. We have spent 18 summers in the Old Forge area and this home is the best by far. It has everything you would want and more. We are looking forward to next year.

The weather didnt want to cooperate with our snowmobile trip but the house was beautiful and very clean. Plenty of space for a family with 5 kids and 8 adults. Communication with the owner was a breeze. Would highly recommend and hope to return to Timberwood again in the furture! Thank you Brad and family!

Our group had a wonderful stay at Timberwind. The accommodations were perfect for our group! The house was clean, had everything we needed and had plenty of space for our large group. Brad was quick to communicate with us about questions we had leading up to our trip. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The property is located on a quiet portion of the water, but very close to town. Was the perfect combination of privacy and convenience. We have a big family, so for us, size matters. Brad's property had it all: plenty of beds, big indoor areas, loads of firewood for indoor and outdoor fires, kayaks, a pool table and even a hot tub. Best of all, Brad was very responsive and attentive. Great overall experience.

We had a great stay at Timberwind for the second year in a row. The various indoor and outdoor seating areas make the stay really comfortable and fun for our large group, and the hot tub and pool table are wonderful bonuses that really keep it fun for everyone, especially on rainy days. The bunk room is fun for all the kids, but we had to be careful with the big staircase with the littlest kids. Kayaking from Timberwind is great because boats are slow through the narrows and it's nice to be able to explore some of the side channels. The narrows can get a little loud with boats going by and blaring their music, but this is mostly on the weekends. Overall, Timberwind is a great and comfortable place to stop for the whole family.

For over 15 years our family, children & grandchildren, have spent one week in the summer in the Old Forge/Inlet area. This house and location are excellent and the nicest place we have stayed at. The house is beautiful and comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. The piece of land the house sits on is very large and located right on the canal. It is also a quiet location. It was a real treat for all of us to be here this week. We hope to return to this house next summer.

We had a large group that stayed for one week -- 8 adults and 6 young children. We had a fabulous time there. It was very quiet and far away from the main road. There was plenty of room in the house for people to gather, and also indoor and outdoor spaces for quiet/alone time as desired. The main outside deck was great for eating and lounging -- very private. There are lots of bathrooms for everyone's use. The A/C was an added bonus. We also rented their apartment (w/o A/C), which is above the detached garage. The apartment is nothing fancy, but served the purpose of providing two extra bedrooms. The kayaks and canoe were fun. We also rented a pontoon boat from Rivett's Marine for several days that we easily docked at the property.

The property is in a great location only a few minutes from Old Forge village. We parked a boat at the dock and had easy access to the Futon chain. The only problem we had was the hot tub, but Brad responded quickly and resolved the issues.

Family reunion
We were a party of 14 and were very comfortable in this beautiful, well equipped home. Plenty of living spaces for both adults and children as well as outdoor areas. Waterfront was perfect for all our boating, kayaking and swimming activities. Brad was very helpful and easy to work with. Would definitely be a place to return to.

Great Vacation Rental
The property was great for the large group of 18 that we had. We loved the outdoor area with the decks and dock. We got a lot of use out of the kayaks, canoe and paddle boat. The house was very well stocked with tons of amenities. Loved the wildlife and the location was so close to town. At the property we saw deer, turkeys, ducks, squirrels and a bear. The bear came out of the lake and went behind the garage and out the driveway and across the road into the woods. The downside was that the house needed a more thorough cleaning. There were a ton of cobwebs and it was in need of some thorough cleaning inside and out. It could use some TLC as well as there were loose railings on the stairs, screens on the door were ripped and a lot of build up of dirt and pine needles in the door tracks and on the edges of the deck by the house. I realize some of this is due to the location but still felt it could have been better. The owner stated they were working on a new manual to provide instructions for the house which would have been super helpful for the air, heat, washer and dryer, etc. The apartment was not as nice as was expected in that it needed screens in the windows so they could be opened for fresh air and the one room only had a twin bed in it. Overall we were pleased and enjoyed our vacation rental very much and would recommend it to others with large groups.

A Dreamy ADK Getaway!
My husband and I were so impressed with the property, it had a beautiful room, plenty of accommodation for multiple guests of all ages, and we were beyond pleased with the care and instructions left to us for check in, clean up and check out.

Perfect location and house for family get together!
We loved our stay, this house is lake front! It has a beautiful deck, firepit and hot tub for outdoor gatherings. We used all of it. The inside of the house is beautiful, we cooked in and the table and gathering areas inside the house were perfect. We played pool, used the kayaks and had coffee on the Northstar deck with the comfy rocking chairs.
Memorable event in this amazing property and Brad was responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
