by far the best condo we ever rented. start with the property manager, she was there to welcome us and stopped in several times during the week to see that all was well. the condo was fully equipped with everything to make our stay absolutely wonderful.

I can’t say enough about Barefoot and Sylvia. I have come to St Maarten for 30+ years with my husband and family and have stayed in different places on the island and Barefoot is at the top. This was a special birthday trip with girl friends and I wanted a special place where we could step out in the morning and have coffee watching the waves, have a shady place to read and nap right on the beach without big crowds, feel safe and get to my favorite places easily. Barefoot was that and more. Sylvia had a birthday cake waiting when we arrived. We had massages on the veranda and it felt private,we had the pool pretty much to ourselves and loved the shower after coming off the beach. I recommend it highly right down to the car rental place she recommended. Sylvia pays attention to all of the details. Can’t beat it!

Sylvia’s property is absolutely wonderful! Beautiful Simpson Bay views are enhanced by a well stocked kitchen, fabulous furnishings and a nice complex. We especially enjoyed the easy pool and ocean access. The complex is nice and quiet. We definitely want to stay there again.

Our first stay since the Hurricane/covid shutdown. It's a great property a great property manager and we are booked for next year.

One word describes the location, property and level of attentiveness from Sylvia. Amazing! It was absolutely the best vacation ever. With a mix of enjoying the beautiful beach front property to exploring the islands offerings, you cannot find a better location. We plan to be back to enjoy this beach front paradise very soon.

We returned to this amazing home for a vacation after several years away from the island. The improvements in the home were fantastic and the hosts are amazing. This is the best vacation location ever! We will return next year!

Where do I start with this review?! Too much to say about Barefoot Palm Beach Condo and the host, Mrs. Sylvia! From the start of my inquiry nearly 2 months before arrival, Mrs. Sylvia was extremely prompt in her responses. This was a special surprise birthday trip for my wife and she made it extra special and went more than above and beyond any host we have encountered before now! Once we arrived she made herself available to meet us as we arrived late evening, unusual for any host we have had with previous VRBO stays. Listen! If you are thinking about booking this immaculate condo, think no longer just do yourself the favor and book it NOW!! As many others have said, the pictures on the listing honestly does no justice for the in-person beauty of Barefoot and its' incomparable location in Simpson Bay! Every detail thought of within from the decor to all the amenities. The bedrooms and bathrooms are perfect. She has literally thought of every amenity for her guests. The condo is well stocked with everything you would have in your own home, to include strong Wi-Fi signal and 2 big screen TVs with plenty of available channels to watch. The location is to die for! Conveniently located in Simpson Bay minutes from the airport and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough when you want to explore the area. We thought that we would hear the planes landing/taking off all day/night but that was not the case at all! It is extremely quiet and relaxing and the planes we did hear wasn't a nuiasance. The beach is literally a step out the gate and your feet are in the sand! The view of the beautiful turquoise water and the many yachts from the beach, the porch, or even the big bay windows from inside the condo was one of the highlights of our stay! The wrap around porch overlooking the beach is as serene as it gets! Plenty of outdoor seating and a whole storage box of beach chairs and an umbrella for your use. The grounds around the condo are immaculate and well manicured; the pool is inviting as well. There are also two beach restaurants within walking distance from the beach @ Barefoot. Overall, there are really not enough words to describe our stay @ Barefoot. It was magical to say the least. We have forever memories as a result of our stay, and Im sure you will too!! Our stay in Sint Maarten was absolutely perfect! Our condo (which felt more like a house - inside and out) had everything you could possibly need for vacation. There were several beach towels, sunscreen, beach chairs, pool noodles, snorkeling gear, binoculars, info on local attractions, and everything you could imagine in kitchen. This is been the best stocked rental we have stayed in and the level of comfort the host provided while we were there was top notch. In addition to the rental property itself, there is also a well manicured lawn and pool area to enjoy. Directly in front of your condo is a beautiful sandy beach with gorgeous turquoise. The condo complex is surrounded by a security gate and has a nightly security guard to offer an added bit of peace of mind. The condo is situated about blocks from a main strip that offers restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, etc. We felt completely safe walking the area through the day, as people are so very friendly on the island (but as always... use good judgement & pay attention to your surroundings). An all around kiddos to our host!

Really enjoyed our time. Beautiful, quiet & relaxing. The location is right on the beach. The manager Kapi went out of her way to meet us there despite our delay at the airport. She also sent us several recommendations on the island. The owner Sylvia was also very responsive to our needs.

Our second stay at this beautiful property. It was as amazing as our first. Beautiful condo facing the beach with a little bit of private beach right in front. (We’ve nicknamed it Barefoot Beach!). Owners and property managers are so easy to work with and very accommodating. Right in the heart of restaurants and nightlife and a nice quiet beach. Cannot recommend this property highly enough.

The condo was very well appointed. They even thought of the little things. Both the owner and the property manager were great to work with and went out of there way to make the experience great. Great location right on the beach. Will definitely return.

However, with the georgeous beach and much less foot traffic than the resorts, this property once again was the favorite to hang out at at the end of the day. A wonderful time is a guarantee at this location. There was nothing overlooked in this booking starting from the first inquiry to checkout. The location on Simpson Bay was familiar to us from a previous stay. The location is walkable to all needs from restaurants to groceries, entertainment, car rentals and local shops. The grounds of the condo complex were very well maintained from the pool to all the shrubs and walkways. The unit had everything needed from beach chairs, coolers to enjoy the beach here or to visit the many other island locations. Eating in was not a problem as the kitchen was well stocked or go out as there were lots of choices (too many to chose from for our 2 week stay). Our favorite times were spent outside on the patio first thing in the morning watching the ship traffic and at night after eating supper outside to sit back with a glass and just relax !

This is a beautiful property in a perfect location. Listed as 2 BR but can actually be considered 2 Master BRs as they both have a private bath with nice views. The pictures posted, while really nice, don’t do justice to the beauty of the condo. Right on a nice mile-long beach with very few people. Great for morning walks. There is a really nice wrap around back porch that’s perfect for having an evening glass of wine while the sun sets. Kitchen is very well equipped if you want to stay in for meals. A short walk down the beach and you can dine at one of three beachside restaurants. You are also a short drive to dozens of restaurants and night life places in Simpson Bay or Maho. Owners and property managers were very easy to work with and extremely helpful. Will definitely come back to this place again!

Creme de la creme! We had the most amazing 2 weeks at Barefoot. We drove the entire island and visited almost all the beaches. We had many days my kids wanted to stay “home” at Barefoot. It was their favorite beach and location. Sylvia and Daryl are welcoming hosts and are experts when it comes to detail.

We loved the location of the condo. The condo was perfect size and perfect access to the beautiful beach. It was very nicely decorated and had all the necessities. It would have been nice to have a few more beach items. We had two new beach chairs and one old one for our party of four. The umbrella was really nice to have, until it broke on the fourth day. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find anywhere close by to buy a new one. We did find a place to buy some noodles and floats, which we thought was a must to enjoy the gorgeous, blue water. The area around the condo seemed a little sketchy, but the 24 hour security made us feel safe during our stay. The property manager, Cathy, was nice. She greeted us when we arrived (we had a little trouble finding the correct location), but we made it. She gave us the necessary info we needed and then seemed to be in a hurry to leave. We asked a few questions, which she politely answered, but then was on her way. The only time we heard from her again, was when she sent a text to warn us of the upcoming windy weather. That being said, I think we have just been really spoiled by other vacation, property-management. Overall, the condo and location were perfect. If your looking for a relaxing vacation to enjoy the beautiful beach, water, and sunsets, this is a great choice!! We just spent a week in this simply gorgeous villa, in a gorgeous location. The property was everything we hoped it would be, and then some. A fully stocked kitchen as regards dishes, pots, pans, etc., if you wanted to cook in (which we did a few times). All of our dealings with the owner and with the property manager were so easy. Along with being right on the beach, you felt like you were in your own little world with your own private beach once you set a few feet outside the villa. I cannot wait to go back here again! Such a relaxing place to be!!

We have been coming to the island since 1995 almost every year. Our normal choices were still being refurbished from the hurricane so we had to find a new place. We fell in love with the property upon arrival. The beach really is as close and as nice as it shows in the pictures. No rocks - good sand and gorgeous views. There is a slight surf but it is gentle enough for small children and the beach is a pleasant gradual slope for water depth. The family also used the pool from time to time. The location is ideal for getting around the island in Simpson Bay area. Maho shops, restaurants and casings are a very short drive. There is a grocery store within a mile and a Carrefoure (highly recommend you use this one) within a couple miles. Shopping in Phillipsburg is a very reasonable drive and French culture in Marigot is less than 5 minutes in the other direction. The on-site manager was incredibly responsive and even helped us get a couple of the kids and luggage to the condo from the rental car place. The Washer and Dryer was much nicer than normal for a VRBO and the kitchen was well equipped. We even used the barbecue grill a couple of times. The sunsets are to die for from this beach - be prepared to take a lot of pictures. Would strongly recommend the property and it's unique location in this complex. Best thing I can say is we are already looking forward to returning.

We just returned from spending Christmas week at Barefoot. Everything was lovely! The location is suburb—oceanfront on Simpson Bay! The area was quiet and peaceful. The premises are gated and there is a guard who patrols nightly. The property is well appointed and spacious. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a variety of cheeses which was much appreciated. We loved the large patio with plenty of comfortable seating and the nice wicker outdoor dining set where we enjoyed several meals. The community pool was clean cold and quiet. The beach is very peaceful and secluded but you are a short walk from two popular restaurant/bars. The airport is nearby and you do hear the planes occasionally but we did not find it disturbing at all. The kitchen was well stocked but if you are going to be cooking a lot, I suggest bringing your own sharp knives as the ones provided were a bit dull. Also recommend the owners add a garlic press to the kitchen supplies. We made use of the binoculars to peek at the many yachts and mega yachts that anchor in Simpson Bay. Would definitely recommend Barefoot!!

We just left this amazing property. Clean, roomy and safe. Location is incredible, steps from the beach! Perfect for our family with the pool and ocean right there. No need for shoes the entire trip!

Our stay at Barefoot Condo in Simpson Bay was fantastic. The condo had all of the amenities we needed in neat and spacious rooms. The access and view of the ocean and pool was delightful. Sitting on the porch with coffee in the morning watching the sun come up and boats go by was calming and a wonderful way to start the day! Thank you.
