The location is perfect. The apartment is big and very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable.

Excellent location, brillant ocean view , near shopping center

The apartment is bright, clean and very spacious and furnished to a high standard. There is also a fun hot tub in the bathroom. If you intend to stay for any length of time there is a copious amount of storage space with a walk in wardrobe to the master bedroom. Marvellous Ocean View is located on the third floor of a gated block above the coast with glorious views of the Atlantic Ocean from the lounge, dining areas and master bedroom. Across the road there are restaurants and a large supermarket can be found at the far end of the Forum Shopping Centre. The management company offered to arrange a taxi to pick us up from the airport. The cost for the two of us was 31 Euros, the driver also provided keys to the apartment and showed us how to access the security gates and doors. There are sun loungers by the pool and access to this area is via a series of steps on either side of the blocs. There didn’t appear to be any wheelchair access. It is possible to walk all the way into the centre of Funchal or you can catch a yellow bus No 01 or 02 to the centre of town.

As has been previously mentioned there is No information booklet to explain key information such as where do you put the rubbish at the end of your stay. We looked everywhere without success. Hot water is limited so we could only fill up the hot tub once before the water turned cold.. The TV proved to be difficult to operate and it was only on our third evening that we worked it out. The management company had offered to help but that didn’t materialise. So this is what you need to do: check the Wi-Fi/internet is turned on at the modem. Turn the Media Receiver on – there should be a green light. Turn the TV on and check that this also has a green light. On the side of the TV there are buttons, press and hold the INPUT button. Shortly after TV channels should appear on the TV. Use the BLACK remote to increase/decrease volume and to change channels. Good luck.

Nicely furnished, spacious apartment with a nice balcony and sea view. Good security. Decent wi-fi. great access to Forum shops, restaurants and a bus stop just outside.

TV: A very old model with no access to Netflix. No HDMI access either so we had to watch Netflix on a laptop. There were no instructions and it too me ages to figure out how to get everything to work. (I’d suggest buying a smart TV) Limited Hot water: There is a nice jacuzzi bath which is only possible to half-fill. No showers possible until the water heats up again. Kitchen: We had to purchase things like drink coasters and table mats to protect the nice furniture. The toaster was broken (replaced after I notified the manager) Only a small supply of decent sized glasses and cups (but some were provided after a week)

the kitchen equipment quite sparse even for 2-3 people the apartment was not really clean. additional cleaning was necessary which helped to some extent.

The apartment was beautiful, very modern and furnished to an extremely high standard. It is situated in a high end apartment block, which was beautifully maintained. There is a swimming pool but the water was really cold when we were there. Although it was just my husband and I the apartment accommodated 6 or 8 people but there are two double beds and the others are sofa beds. We loved the jacuzzi bath & the view was incredible. My favourite spot was sitting on the comfortable purple chaise & my husband set up his temporary office at one end of the 8 seater dining table and we ate at the other end. There is one full bathroom and a wonderful shower with toilet and a separate guest toilet too. The apartment was close to the Forum Shopping Centre and several restaurants (do try The Loft for breakfast, absolutely superb!). The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of pots and pans etc. We loved the apartment and would love to return.

There was only one problem we had - lack of information - A lot of the equipment, electrical gadgets and oven etc. were of a high technical spec, which for non technical minded people like ourselves was very challenging. We found the oven hit and miss to switch on and I’m afraid were never able to change channels on the TV so gave up. Finding out the WiFi log in was difficult and even the management company didn’t know (we eventually found it on the main bedroom wall). Finding the correct washing machine cycle was also a journey of discovery. It also took us a few days to work out where to take our rubbish to (we asked some window cleaners in the end). All this could be very easily solved with an information folder (plastic so it could be wiped down between guests due to COVID) or a simple sheet printed out for each guest. Only basic instructions need to be left e.g. What is the best washing machine cycle for a mixed general wash/ which remote to use to turn on the TV and change channels/ wifi log in details/ do’s and don’ts etc etc. There were some manufacturer booklets but not for the larger equipment and those that were there were unhelpful and didn’t give the basic operating instructions. This could so very easily be rectified but otherwise the apartment was wonderful.

It was amazing. The apartment was so luxurious, it was wonderful. The apartment is huge and there was plenty of space for all 5 of us. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bedrooms were decorated with high-quality furnishings. I was extremely happy with the apartment and I would definitely book again. The view of the Atlantic Ocean from the balcony was breathtaking and the location was perfect for children. We were a 15 minute walk from Praia Formosa, Madeira’s best beach. The management company were extremely helpful and responded immediately. I couldn’t have asked for more. Absolutely highly recommended.

There is NOTHING negative. When we had an issue, the management company and owner dealt with it immediately. Brilliant.

Fantastic high spec apartment that was more than big enough for our family of 5. Amazing views over the ocean and located in a very nice part of Funchal with easy access to everything. Pool and communal facilities were spotless as was the apartment. Would stay again without hesitation.

Only minor grumble was that the jaccuzi bath didn't work and there was no hairdryer (that we could find!)
