Small ant problem

Second time in visiting, and loved it even more. The location is perfect and the facilities are great. Could not fault it.

La atención De Francisco, lo cómodo que es el apartamento y lo cerca que está del barrio viejo de Funchal. La terraza común tiene unas vistas maravillosas. Todo muy bien. No le doy un 10 porque faltaba algún pequeño detalle como un par de cápsulas de café o algún sobre de gel para el primer día, pues si llegas de noche es conveniente. Por lo demás genial.

Świetna lokalizacja, wszędzie blisko! Właściciel bardzo pomocny w każdej kwestii. Piękny taras z widokiem na miasto jest ogromnym plusem. W Funchal bardzo ciężko zaparkować więc jeśli masz zamiar wynajmować samochód to zamykany prywatny parking jest ogromnym atutem. Za rogiem jest mała kawiarnia gdzie można codziennie kupić świeżą kawę i lokalne wypieki. Na pewno wybralibyśmy to miejsce ponownie.

Małym minusem jest łazienka, która może być krępująca dla wrażliwych osób.

This apartment is absolutely perfect for a stay off the beaten path in Funchal. It's cozy, roomy, clean on the inside, with views of the ocean and city from the bedroom and kitchen windows (and a super cute kids playground from the breakfast nook window). And the view from the rooftop patio is incredible! Francisco met us and gave us a personal orientation from the rooftop. The apartment is easy walking distance from the city center, but not IN it. It's a real neighborhood with real local residents, and we loved that. The free parking space was a huge bonus! We would definitely stay here again. Loved it!

Our host Francisco was very friendly and attentive. On the first day provided us with a lot of useful information about Funchal: places to visit, restaurants.. There was a heatwave during our stay and there only was one fan in the property. We asked him if it was possible to have an extra fan and he delivered it in a matter of hours. Also, a fire broke out and he called us with info about it and make sure we'd stay safe. The flat property was quiet, nice and clean.

The balcony shown in the pictures is not part of the flat, it's in the roof of the building and can only be used until 10pm. The mattress in the double bed may need replacing as we could feel the sprigs.

The 'feel home' impresson. The parking lot. The quieteness. The walking distance to the old city district (i.e. the 'real' funchal, not the not so nice(...) new district where the tour operators send you) and all its restaurants. The warm welcome of Francisco (thanks for this).

The staff was unbelievably flexible and especially understanding.

I think the main hindrance of the apartements is the location, which while being incredibly convenient is still in the middle of an extremely steep road, which is kinda heavy on the body to walk. With a vehicle it’s not a problem but might be difficult if you’re lacking experience with driving. That being said, there is a garage to store said vechicle.

A central apartment 5 min from the city. Nice roof-top view and a comfortable flat with good spaces.

Very good apartment with 2 bedrooms. Also there is really good parking place near the building. Owner of this apartment is super nice.

Very good location and the host was very nice and always ready to help us. The apt. was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Free parking as well and quiet complex.

The location was fantastic, right in the centre of the old town and within walking distance of most of central Funchal. There is a big parking lot around the apartment block so parking was very easy, which was a relief as lots of the streets in the old town are very narrow. Francisco was a great host and pointed out lots of things to do in Funchal from the roof terrace, which was really useful.

The shower didn't seem to be draining properly and the shower basin filled up with water. There was a sort of platform in the shower basin which you had to stand on, and we accidentally flooded the bathroom floor a few times as the platform sent the collected water over the side of the basin. Sorry! We weren't sure how to avoid the problem. Other than that, everything was fantastic.

The apartment was huge, and very comfortable. We truly felt like locals; and everything was so close! The view from the rooftop was amazing, romantic, and even better than expected. The old downtown area is such a short, wonderful walk, and so charming, wonderful, and filled with excitement and happy people. When we returned to the apartment, it was all so quiet and peaceful. This place is a gem, and far better than any hotel! We hope to return and stay much longer. We left wanting more!

The property was clean and well equipped. The decor was fresh and modern. The bed was comfortable as was the sofa. The views are super, we sat each morning and had our breakfast, watching the cable car gliding up to Monte. In the evenings, we took fizz and glasses to the roof top terrace and enjoyed the views from there. The host was very welcoming and gave us some excellent advice about where to visit, eat and shop.

perfectly situated with easy access to restaurants and sea front in lovely old town. Property was well equipped, very comfortable and in spite of its central location, very quiet at night.

Checkin was smooth and Francisco showed us the place and we had a small chat. He is a very friendly person, very down to earth and easy to talk to. The apartment is very cozy, lots of space. Location is great as well. It was and excellent choice for our stay.

My favourite neighbourhood in Funchal, very authentic, near the market, old town and beach. Clean and convenient. The Host Francisco was truly amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at this place. Francisco is the perfect host and we felt very warmly welcomed.

Spaciousness, light and airy. Extensive views from three sides of the property, overlooking the sea and town.

A chest of drawers in second bedroom would have been useful

Francisco made a special effort to help and guide on what to do. He was also accommodating when our original plans needed changing

The apartment is just outside the centre of Funchal within easy walking distance and only a four minute walk from the bottom of the cable car. There is secure, free parking on site. Situated on the 3rd floor and accessed by a lift, the apartment is clean, bright and airy. it has two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you could need. Francisco, who met us at the apartment could not do enough to make our stay pleasant. A full tour of the property explaining how everything worked as well as showing us the roof terrace with fantastic views of Funchal and the harbour. He even ordered a taxi for us when I could not through to them on the phone. we will certainly be back

Nothing to dislike apart from maybe the short uphill walk from the sea front. but it is Madeira and I am certain that the only flat area in Madeira is Funchal airport !!!

the host was very attentive, went above and beyond to make sure that we had a wonderful stay. he answered within minutes when we asked him lots of questions. he gave great recommendations and not typical tourist places. would stay again. 10/10

We had a great stay in Francisco’s apartment. It is in a perfect location, within walking distance to everything in Funchal. The apartment was perfectly clean and well equipped. We had a rental car which we were able to securely park by the apartment. Francisco was there to greet us upon arrival and available on WhatsApp for any questions. The apartment is in a family building with friendly neighbours who spoke with us. We would be happy to stay again in the apartment.

Nice apartment located in the center of Funchal and fully equipped. Only a few minutes by foot to the sea, central bus station, restaurants, etc. The apartment has a private parking space. The landlord is very friendly.

Beautiful apartment, great location near to old town and cable car. Great views from every window. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and the host Francisco was very helpful.

Exceptionally clean and well appointed apartment. Stunning views from the rooftop. Location is within a few minutes walk of many quality Old Town restaurants. Owner was extremely friendly and helpful, and could not have been more welcoming. He had a genuine desire to make everything perfect for us.
