Excellent location, great facilities within the apartment and a lovely pool.
Fan in room was quite small, it was very warm at night.

The owner Jose is very friendly. The place is very well maintained, clean and every detail is thought of. It is a very good location, close to everything.
We stayed for a week but there were only three coffee pods provided for the espresso machine. When we asked for more on day 2 we were told to buy them at the grocery store. A box of coffee pods is 3€. Some people would not want to go to the large grocery store in the center of the busy city just to buy coffee pods. I think a 3€ box of Delta coffee pods should be left in the unit when someone is staying for a week. We left our remaining pods, lol. This may be picky to some....but oh well. Otherwise, we LOVED this apartment.

The location is the best in Funchal. A short distance up a minor road so away from all the noise but in easy walking distance to all areas. This is a predominantly residential area so somewhat different to the hotel zone. The pool is a good size although we didn't use it. Two bathrooms were very useful. The apartment and the whole building were nice and clean. Jose was a delightful host. A row of restaurants, cafes and a bakery is a 2 minute walk away, as is a bus stop which runs to the airport. There is a lovely park a few minutes away and a useful shopping mall about 10 minutes walk away with a decent supermarket that sells at normal prices, not inflated tourist prices. The petrol station 3 minutes away also sells beer & water etc. so no need to carry the heavy stuff back up the hill. Excellent all round, thank you Jose.

Excellent location, right at the Santa Catarina Park. Nice outdoor pool, unheated so a bit chilly in winter but ok (and with a kids splashing pool). Very nice host.

La casa era in posizione centrale e arredata con tutti i comfort, la possibilità di utilizzo del terrazzo ci ha permesso di godere una vista mozzafiato sulla notte di capodanno a Funchal. Non abbiamo usato la bella piscina solo per pigrizia e un po' di nuvole che non invoglino all'utilizzo.

The host was exceptionally helpful and was on hand to ask assistance. He was also very kind - for example, when we arrived it was late and all the shops were closed so he brought us some food to tide us over until the morning. The rooms were bright and clean and very spacious in an excellent location close to the town centre.
One of the toilets had a persistent unpleasant odour.

Jose met us and handed over the keys and explained everything we needed to know. He was very kind and let us stay over our departure time as we were catching a late flight home.

Traveled with spouse and two children aged 8 and 11. Very suitable for the family for the week - great location. Apartment is very comfortable, spotlessly clean, nice bedding and towels, good facilities. Host is lovely!

Perfect location. We were in the centre of two main areas in the city, just up from the Casino. Tons of restaurants, bars, supermarkets. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and very well equipped, two large bedrooms and two large bathrooms. Secure, underground parking as well.

Very nice appartment with perfect localization in the center of Funchal. José is very nice and helpful. The private parking is very useful if you have a rent a car. We could also enjoy the New Year Firework of Funchal from the top of the building, just fantastic!

Jose was a great host, we receive welcome pack with delicious local cake and wine. Communication was great, when I asked if there is dishwasher in apartment Jose proposed he can purchase one ... and there was new one on our arrival!
Apartment was quiet, nice and spacious. View from balcony was on a pool, garden and mountains.
Information for allergy sufferers, bed linen is feathers but you can use provided blankets instead.
Beds for people preffering stiffer mattresses but our kids loved them.
Water from gas boiler wasn't very hot and it took a bit more time to get it heated.

Location really good and Jose very helpful. The pool was excellent and warm enough when we stayed there in July. Hardly anyone used the pool so it was pretty much ours throughout
Nothing - maybe the slight hill you have to walk out of town centre but otherwise very central and convenient. Not sure you could get much closer at the price

Everything was perfect, jose was very kind and well organized for check in and check out, beds are very confortable, the appartement was perfectly clean. Place is quiet, near supermarket, restaurants and center of the city. A garage is available in case you have a car.

We loved our stay. Jose was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. It was an easy walk into the city centre - 10 mins walk to a big supermarket (but there are closer mini marts for the odd item), 20 mins walk through the park and along the water front to the old town. Views over the pool and an old fort from the apartment. Secure parking. The description of the property is 100% accurate. I would absolutely stay here again.

The location was great, it was opposite a beautiful park, close to the harbour and had lots of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. It had a great pool, and great gardens which were really well kept. We had a parking space for the car. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the owner was really friendly. Loved it.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. It was the first time my family and I have travelled to Madeira and it was a great place to go. If you want to experience Funchal this location is great.
