Nagyon jó elhelyezkedésű szállás, a Via Etnea egy fő tengely a közlekedésben és a tájékozódásban. Ráadásul az Etnára is rálátni, a közeli Bellini parkból - ahol futni is lehet - pedig egész jól látható. Sűrű buszjáratok és nem túl nagy távolságok segítik az ott tartózkodás élményét. A recepció segített megválaszolni minden feltett kérdésre. A reggeli finom volt és elégséges, a választék kicsit édesség túlsúlyos, jó hogy voltak gyümölcsök is, egy kis zöldséget szívesen fogadtam volna. A szoba tágas volt és kényelmes, a fürdő szintén elég méretes és világos! A környéken nagyon sok kisebb-nagyobb étkezési lehetőség található, éhezni nem lehet!. Kiváló, gyors és nem túl drága távolsági buszjáratokkal meg lehet közelíteni a látnivalókat, aki nem akar autót bérelni.
Nem nagy hiba, de az erkélyen az asztal dekoratív fém lapja kicsit elvált és billegett a fa tartórésztől. Az egyik szék ülőlapjának fa léce törött volt.

Staff at San Max Hotel were very attentive and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental/Italian but good variety. Very central to all shops, restaurants etc.
The owners/staff at the Lux lounge bar next door were very friendly, twice we went in there for a glass of wine and each time we were given a little snack to eat with it.

Decisamente pulizia da migliorare, odore di chiuso e polvere ovunque. La gestione della raccolta differenziata va evidenziata meglio nelle stanze, anche togliendo tutti i cestini

The location of this hotel was perfect for us. We had a comfortable stay.
I didn’t like all the rules everywhere at this hotel. It didn’t feel inviting because of this. However in saying this I am sure that the reason they have so many rules is because they have had people who don’t know how to behave.

The extractor in the Bathroom made a lot of noise. And there was only processed cheese in the breakfast.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Close to centre with secure parking, nice swimming pool, breakfast was good. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Air conditioning worked very well.
Emergency lights were permanently on in 1 room, advised reception but nothing was done so affected the 2 people in that room.

The staff could not be more helpful. We changed from another hotel, and they were very accommodating and understanding.
Breakfast is simple but nice. Our room was very spacious if a little dated. The pool area is nice with plenty of sun loungers. The hotel is located in the centre of Catania where you can find so many lovely places to eat.
The hotel is undergoing some pretty major renovation and because of this there is a little noise and there was a considerable amount of rubbish outside our window. Hopefully, this will all go and the view improved when renovations are finished.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and very helpful. Also very informative about the area that we were staying in and giving good tips. The breakfast might not be everyones cup of tea but for my partner and I it was more than enough (you get coffee/tea, juices, yoghurt, fresh baked goods, fruits, cake, toast, ham cheese, cornflakes,...). Also the pool was very nice to relax in. Just be aware that the neighbor houses can see you in the pool but it didn't bother us. .
This is not a complaint just one thing we didn't understand was the necessity to wear a swimming cap on your head in the pool. I understand it about keeping the pool clean of course, but my boyfriend has a really long beard so it didn't really make sense in that way. Otherwise no complaints.

Staff very approachable and went and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant and the pool was clean, you just have to book it the day before €10 pp.

Very good location, close to the ALIBUS bus that comes from Catania airport, about 15-20 minutes from Piazza Duomo and Piazza Borsellino station, from where you can take buses to other destinations.
I liked the big, tall room, large bathroom, equipped with dryer.
The hotel garden is full of vegetation.
Very close by, there is a great Botanical Garden, free entrance.
- The smell of sewage in the bathroom.
- noise area and in the hotel, practically everything can be heard.
- the breakfast was rather poor, there were no vegetables at all.

Rooms are gloomy and are in need of renovation. Arrived late ar night and initially wasn't sure if it wasn't a hotel paid by the hour.
