These units are in a great location. Having complimentary bikes was the best. We didn’t have sheets for the daybed. I called breakaway to ask for them and did not ever get them. I sent the owner a question and they never responded

The Macaw efficiency cottage was immaculate and really comfortable for us. The surrounding property was quiet and is close to the Lighthouse Cafe, very popular for breakfast. It was a great place to stay on our first visit to the island.

I wife and I had a great time for the two day stay that we had. Nice location down by the lighthouse with a nice restaurant within walking distance for meals. It was also really nice to have bikes that you did not have to rent but could use free of charge.

Very nice newly renovated unit. Very easy check in process. Good location, lighthouse cafe is less than a block away and beach is a 5 minute walk. Quiet residential part of the island which I prefer. This area of the island is not crowded and the beach is fairly empty. Quiet and relaxing.

It was very seculed off the busy street and quiet side of island. Enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful time spend on island

The property was lovely and in a peaceful location close to nature. I only wish we had better understood the access to the beach though. We were physically unable to walk the distance to the beach from the cottage. Parking was not available there either so we ended up driving to the beach at the lighthouse but there are rip currents in the water so actually nothing beach wise was actually acceptable for physically disabled.

This cute little group of cottages is perfectly situated near Lighthouse Beach. The owners have thought of everything to make your visit to the island enjoyable! Communication was great, the contactless check-in made it super convenient, and all of the extras (there are bikes you can borrow, wagons to transport your things to the beach, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers) made our stay perfect. You'll get lots of really great insights about where to get the best meal and where to find groceries, etc. Initially my husband and I rented a big fancy condo in Treasure Island for the week, but were extremely bummed out to find that the red tide was turning the shoreline there into a gross and stinky fish graveyard. We drove down to Sanibel on our second day to get away from it (all I wanted to do was swim in the ocean!) and absolutely fell in love. I was lucky enough to book this cottage for an overnight a couple of days later so we could spend more time on Sanibel. I wish we would have booked this place for our entire trip!! We certainly will in the future. The cottage was adorable on the inside, and super clean. It's steps away from some cute souvenir shops, a breakfast and lunch cafe, and an ice cream and coffee shop. The best thing ever was riding the bikes on the short and beautiful (everything is so green!! Sanibel feels like a small town, not a tourist trap) bike path to the beach to catch the sunrise. It was seriously magical and I can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed our stay. The Cottage was very clean and the location was perfect. We loved being able to bike everywhere. The bikes could use some maintenance but I imagine the sand and salt can be hard on the chains, etc.

Our options were limited as we only needed a place for 2 nites and 1 day, so this "efficiency " wasn't our typical type of accommodation. That said, #3 Macaw was in a convenient location on the quiet end of Sanibel, w/ a coffee shop & gift shop nearby. It had a convenient pkg space. Room was clean and smelled good. . Furnishing were fresh and stylish, but kitchenette could've used a few more basics. Also, the bathroom was pretty tiny and somewhat tired, but it worked. This little enclave/resort was well kept and kinda cozy & tropical. The communication from prop mgr was thorough and helpful. Was too expensive, tho, because booked thru 3rd party. A comfortable place for one or two people.

We always travel to Marco Island every summer. Last year we stopped on Sanibel for a day, loved it so we decided to stay here a couple nights before Marco. The location of this cottage is very close to the beach via bike trails. They have bikes available so it was great. Very clean and cozy. The only thing I’d want to change is add more towels. We were in and out a lot and because of the heat took several showers to rinse off or cool down. We ate at the Fish House for dinner and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Beaches are clean and tons of shells. Water is also super clear and warm. We will be back next year.

Enjoyed the vintage cottage style of what island life must have been like in the 50’s only the cottages are all renovated. Nice! and best of all, the mattresses were awesome!!

We loved the location in a quiet area near the lighthouse and beach. Having the use of bicycles tipped the scales to make us choose this place, but after staying there we realized what a lucky choice we made.

I may have missed it in the description of this cottage, but the “kitchen” was a small fridge and microwave. There was no sink other than the bathroom lavatory. The cottage worked for us for two days, but it would have been tough even to do breakfasts for a week.

The room was great, the location was wonderful, had we not gotten extremely sick on our honeymoon it woukd have been the perfect trip.
