Good breakfast choices.
Spacious room.
Restaurant staff were careful to advise on menu when aware of chilli intolerance.
Odd room layout with wardrobe in bathroom.
Too many emails and text messages before, during and after, some with conflicting information regarding need to book for breakfast, dinner reservation.
Lack of clarity regarding breakfast charges - what was and was not included in the rate. A menu was on show but we were told it was not needed and it was simply ' help yourself'. Mixed messaging.
Ambient temperature in public spaces only just acceptable.
No access to newspapers.
Additional parking charge and issues with getting the barrier to open.
Menu in Rib extremely limited as I have an intolerance to chilli.

Our third room was very comfortable. Good size bathroom with plenty of mirrors, but oddly the wardrobes in all rooms appear to be in the bathroom.
The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
The live music in the bar in the evening was nice.
The room numbering system on the wall sent us in the wrong direction carrying heavy cases up 2 flights of stairs as there was no lift, and down a long corridor until we realised that the there was no such number on that floor. Back to reception where we were told that the numbers were indeed incorrect, they didn't know why, and our room was up the opposite staircase, so had to ask for help carrying the cases this time. How difficult is it to re-number a door? The room turned out be very very dark and depressing, looking out onto a dirty flat roof and a bank of trees just a few feet from the window. I couldn't see to do my makeup or hair as the lights were also very dim. So we asked to move and were upgraded to a slightly larger room and much brighter, however, the ceiling must have had ducting above it as there was a constant hum and the ceiling was actually vibrating making it impossible to sleep, my husband told reception and we were moved again. The third room was very comfortable and the reception staff were excellent.
Didn't like the down-market designated smoking area at the entrance to the hotel. To be greeted with the unpleasant smell of smoke and vapes and people standing staring at you as you weave past them, seems a peculiar choice by the hotel management.
The breakfast was a bit boring, no tomatoes and the bacon & sausages were overcooked. Not enough variety for me of prepared fruit, some strawberries and blueberries would have been nice along with the apple slices, hunt the grape and more apple slices, but it was all edible.
The parking charge of £10 per night was extortionate.

The room was was big enough for a family of four and the kids loved the swimming pool, which was the main reason we booked. We also enjoyed the bar and the restaurant and proximity to the motorway.
£10 for parking was unexpected.

The helpful & obliging staff @ Breakfast
The large waste skip outside our bedroom window, the additional charge for parking our car, and the difficulty locating the hotel on sat-nav which left us the wrong side of a dual carriageway having to get directions from the Premier Inn.

Well maintained
No lift to upper floors or service to take bags to my room.
Car parking expensive for a hotel not in a city centre.
Unfortunately , during check in they didn’t inform me they had a religious convention during my stay which took the capacity of the restaurant during morning breakfast.

Served the purpose, slept well, great food, great service. Good health facilities available.
Didn’t know about a further deposit, pre booked and paid via booking.com but apparently the hotel also needs a deposit for the room upon check in and that’s just a standard policy which apparently wasn’t standard enough to mention upon booking. And how or when the deposit was supposed to come back to me was left a mystery until I asked which I thought was strange. Not a huge deal but definitely made the process unnecessarily staggered.

Customer service was excellent. Ellie on reception was polite, accommodating and welcoming. She was great with kids and made the experience after being so helpful.
Pool facilities could have been better. Jacuzzi lacked power and sauna didn’t work during the first night of our stay.

Lovely brief stay for work. Staff very courteous and helpful. Comfortable and sizeable rooms.
Nothing major - £12 for parking in a regional hotel i felt was a bit pricy

Good location near the motorway, but still quiet in the rooms.
No lift. I don’t know how disabled people would manage.
