Located a short walk away from the city centre, this hotel is brilliant value for money. We had a nice, clean, large room with a comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly - from reception to the cleaners - and the breakfast was lush as well.

The only downside was the water pressure being virtually non-existent. I suppose this is down to it being an old building. The much-awaited shower at the end of the day was but a trickle.

Ideally located for watching cricket as Kent Canterbury ground a 10 stroll away. Excellent parking and a very good full English breakfast. Canterbury centre 20 minutes away so easy for evening meal, plus of course the cathedral.

No lift so could be problematic if you have mobility issues.

The staff were very accommodating. The building and setting was beautiful.

The carpets were filthy and the corners of the bathroom have dust and dirt build up. I think the cleaners work very hard and need to be given more time to do there job properly. The cleaners need to be given time to shampoo the carpets at least once every two weeks. The bathroom needs a deep clean.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war lecker und bot ein große Auswahl. Das Hotel ist durch das Alter des Gebäudes sehr charmant. Der Garten ist groß und bietet zahlreiche Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Es gibt leider nur einen Frühstückstisch, an dem man mit Hunden sitzen kann.

Wunderschönes Haus, geräumiges Zimmer, sehr hundefreundlich, fantastisches Frühstück, nur einen Spaziergang von der Altstadt entfernt.

Le logement est très bien placé. L'environnement extérieur de l'hôtel est agréable. Il est facile de se garer devant l'hôtel. Le centre ville est facilement accessible à pied. Le logement est spacieux et les lits étaient confortables. Il y a des commerces à proximité ce qui est pratique pour faire quelques courses.

Le logement est sombre. Le ménage laisse à désirer (sol peu propre, crotte de mouettes collées sur les fenêtres, miettes sur les chaises à notre arrivée). Pas de balai à disposition, uniquement un aspirateur qui ne sentait pas très bon à disposition. Le mobilier dans le salon n'était pas confortable (mousse du canapé toute enfoncée). La vaisselle est disponible en petite quantité (4 cuillères pour un logement quatre personnes). La vaisselle était un peu limite (assiette ébréchées, casseroles très usées avec le téflon parti). Il aurait été appréciable que le personnel de l'accueil nous indique que nous avions accès au jardin de l'hôtel.

Super acceuil bienveillant et bons conseils. Petit dej très varié. Vieille demeure anglaise avec tout son charme. Très calme. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter du superbe jardin, il pleuvait 😔

The location is fantastic and the gardens are beautiful.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We have stayed here about 5 times and they were not good this time round. There was also mushrooms growing in the bathroom and the new sofa was not comfortable. The price has increased but the facilities haven’t.

The dishwasher hadn't been emptied. 3/4 of the bulbs in the lounge didn't work. The tv ariel socket in the lounge looks like it needs securing. The extractor fan in the bathroom doesn't work, causing black mould-type marks on the ceiling.

The rooms were very spacious(living, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen), clean linens, clean bathroom and kitchen. We enjoyed the full kitchen facilities. Very comfortable beds, quiet and relaxing area.

Location was perfect for us to continue out trip to Dover the next day. Easy 20 minute walk into town. Staff very helpful and friendly. Decor and standard of cleanliness excellent. Would certainly stay there again and highly recommend.

Lucky with the weather, I arrived with a backpack and a small dog a few mins before check in. It was easy to access the room located on the first floor inside the main building. Excellent room with the greatest view out to the well maintained garden. What a scenario! Interior amazingly decorated, with hand carved wood details on furniture, big bathroom with a bathtub and a shower turn off the radiator. City center within easy walking distance. Private key to room. I had a great nights sleep and woke up by dawn. I prepared a cup of hot coffee in the room with the provided electric water kettle and instant coffee. Breakfast was served voluntarily by the bar, as I wanted to bring my dog with me. Most of the visitors had brought their furry little friend with them. There was a queue in the kitchen and the breakfast was too late. However I had a simple outdoor breakfast on the stairs of Kent's engine house and Canterbury theatre, watching the guided tours passing by. Canterbury West station is easily reached by foot from city center.

I have stayed at Ewbury 3-4 times and I have 2 further stays booked. I really enjoy staying here. It is very clean, lovely choice for breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful
