As a frequent renter at Tropic Winds for many years, I regret to say that this unit has been the most disappointing one I’ve stayed in.
While housekeeping issues can be easily addressed, and the property manager did offer to send the cleaning crew back, I opted to handle the situation myself. I found stained dish rags, towels, hair on bathroom floors, drink rings on end tables, and sticky spots on the kitchen counters. Me re-cleaning the unit to my standards was my choice.
However, the larger concerns relate to the overall condition and quality of the unit. While the listing photos are accurate, they don't capture the full reality. The sofa, for example, is quite small — I'm 6' tall, and about 18 inches of my legs hung off the lounge end. The table lamps shown in the photos were stored in the closet, and the lights under the microwave and inside the refrigerator were non-functional. The baseboards in both bathrooms had noticeable debris and rust stains, and drywall patches in the living room were left unpainted. In the bathrooms, previous shower rod mounts were sloppily patched. The bed linens were of poor quality. The mattresses lacked mattress pads, exposing stains from previous guests when we stripped the sheets at checkout. The primary bedroom has only 1 tiny night stand.
I didn’t sense pride of ownership in this unit. As someone who owns vacation rentals myself, I would be uncomfortable renting a home in this condition. A remodel and refresh are overdue.

The condo was dirty. Dust bunnies all over the condo. Furniture was uncomfortably. There was hair and mold in the shower. Bath rugs were dirty. Sand and hair was throughout the condo. Finger prints all over the glass doors. Urine stains on the bed. A hole on the floor in the kitchen. Oven was disgusting. No one wiped it down.

The couch was too small. It is listed as a sleeper sofa and will only fit one adult. It is small and uncomfortable to sit on. The sheets on the bed do not feel soft and the pillows were not comfy so bring your own. Other than that great stay.

Overall it was great we spent most of our time either at the beach or softball field. Love the fact that their were chairs already reserved at the beach . We did hit the pool once. The hot tub was another favorite spot for grandpa!

Pros: good communication with owner. Comfortable bedding. Close shopping/restaurants. Very nice extra beach chairs. Great water pressure. Beautiful beach front.
Cons: couch is very uncomfortable, simply feels like a brick. Looks very nice though. The daybed is dingy and moldy. Pics just have been from when first purchased. Both sliding doors were hard to open and also had a lot of mold. Upon arrival there was so much sand on every floor surface I had to spend a long time sweeping it up. The sliding doors also had lots of smudges. Giving the uneasy impression of the entire condo possibly not being clean. Beach chair service was not as professional as other places I’ve stayed. The pool bottom was extremely rough and smaller than I thought. The parking lot was also rather annoying. We were on the 4th floor and the levels are a bit tight and hard to move through.
All of this is not being nit picky but more to help others have better/accurate detail. I had a wonderful time and none of these things were super horrible but also made the condo overpriced in my opinion and compared with other places I’ve stayed. If it were 1000 less I’d not have been surprised by these few things.

Location was nice. The parking garage was a little scary with our Yukon XL with a cargo carrier on the back. We needed a much smaller vehicle.

We had a great time, beautiful sunsets and wonderful view. We loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings having our coffee while watching the waves and listening to the ocean. Will definitely go back!

The unit was very clean and the view was spectacular. Although the beds were very comfortable, the other furnishings seemed a bit cheaper and uncomfortable (sofa, table, bedroom furniture). The kitchen was well equipped and the patio furniture was comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay and it was well worth the money.

A great location where everyone on the property is more than friendly and great food options close by. Property host was very prompt when needed assistance. Walking up to the waves and fresh air all while catching a great sunset too! You can’t go wrong staying here.

Nice large condo, very clean (except for ceiling fans), right on the ocean - 17 floors up. Extra large balcony was great if you don't mind heights. Parking is on levels 1-4 and is extremely tight. Beds were comfortable, wish the master had a mattress pad, sheets and towels were just OK. Nice full size washer & dryer, no light in the refrigerator. Worst thing is the living room furniture is very uncomfortable and very small. Not good for two people let along four. Location is away from the action. Nothing except one bar/restaurant to walk to.

The property is nice and clean with ocean view. It decorated simply with good taste. The balcony has a day bed that’s nice. The only thing was when we checked in, a small shelf on the wall in the living room coming off the wall. A small statue broken on the floor.

The property was really nice place. Only thing i got to complain on was i wish we didnt have a storm coming in the week we went. Other then the storm i would definitely enjoy booking here again. I gave a 4 out of 5 instead of a 5 because of the sand on the floor. Its exceptable because we were right on the beach and it so hard keeping sand out even after we swept every other day. Overall i give a 6 out of a 5 rating. Oh also your bed was so nice and comfortable. Usually the beds in at least hotels are hard and uncomfortable. Very nice place.

This is our second time at this particular unit. We had such a good time last year, we could not wait to get back for another trip. It will be at the top of our list for future vacations. The updates and sprucing up of the unit made things even more enjoyable. This is a large unit with all the comforts of home with a great view from the balcony. The weather was not cooperating so we took advantage of the heated indoor pool for those days and enjoyed the local restaurants and attractions. The beds are very comfortable and large. It is truly a home away from home. The owner is very easy to contact and responds very quickly. I highly recommend this destination to anyone and have done so to many of my friends and family. It did not disappoint. It was a great vacation!

This condo was great. It was clean and spacious. Everything looked just like the pictures showed. The view from the balcony was spectacular! We saw dolphins and stingrays almost daily! The host was very responsive if I messaged her. The location is about a 8 minute drive to the pier. It wasn’t in the heart of Panama City beach but we were totally fine with that. We don’t like big crowds so it worked perfect for us. You are literally steps from the beach. It was such a great week for my family. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our 5th year in Panama and by far this was our best stay. Everything from the description to the owner was spot on. The views especially from the balcony and the less crowded location made this the perfect rental. The owner was very responsive to any thing needed and kept in contact before arrival and after departure with all needed information. We felt welcomed and had everything we needed in the condo including 2 free chair rentals on the beach along with 4 other beach chairs provided in the condo for our use. We will definitely stay agin and make this our yearly vacation rental destination. Don’t pass on this one you will regret it!

The views were amazing! One thing I would recommend is adding fans out on the balcony because being up so high you don’t get much of a breeze and it was extremely hot when we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy much time on the balcony. Other than that everything was good!

We had a great vacation. Loved the view, the patio was amazing with lots of seating and large table. The king beds were nice and comfy too. The parking garage is a huge plus. We didnt bring beach chairs because we didnt have room to bring them and they had advertised there would be some in the unit in addition to the beach service. When we arrived there was only 1 chair. I notified the host so that we wouldnt be held responsible for the missing chairs. She ordered 4 new chairs and had them shipped to the condo for us to use during our stay. She didnt have to do that but went above and beyond to ensure we had everything to make our atay as pleasant as possible. We love the area and condo. Cant wait to come back again. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

We enjoyed our week so much the property was very nice and had the most amazing views. This space was a great size for 4 people everyone had privacy the air conditioner works extremely well the shower was awesome and most of all the host was very accommodating and pleasurable to deal with. We absolutely cannot wait until next time.

Very nice property. Very roomy and a wonderful king size bed. It was extremely comfortable. Exceptional views of the Gulf! Great access to the balcony and it had terrific seating and a huge table. It also had a nice lounger. The kitchen is very roomy and easy to cook in with multiple people. Large bar to sit at and enjoy breakfast or lunch. Big washer and dryer to do large loads of laundry. Easy access to get into room. The owners were extremely helpful and quick to answer any and all questions we had. The only suggestion I would offer.. is a couple soft chairs in the living room for someone who has back and leg issues like I do. The decor/furniture is beautiful/tastefully done..but was difficult for me to get comfortable. Other than that, it was absolutely perfection! Highly recommend this condo!!

We had some issues at the beginning of our stay, which the host worked hard to resolve. The beds were comfortable and we liked that we could just walk right downstairs to the beach. Overall a good vacation.

The place was amazing! We saw manatees, stingrays, and sharks from the balcony. We brought binoculars which made it amazing! The condo was beautiful and well maintained!Thank you for the use of the lounge chairs and umbrella at the beach. Also the accessories for beach in the condo were a plus ( cooler, noodle, and washer and dryer).We will definitely be back SAME place SAME time. The only complaint we have is : That we couldn’t take that beautiful view back with us. THANK YOU for sharing your condo and making it a perfect place for memories!

The view and location were great. There were multiple lights not working in the unit. The dishwasher was very difficult to latch and start. Beds were comfortable. Towels had stains on them. No kitchen towels. Shower curtains had mold on them. Sink in master leaked. The beach service was nice. There was a lot of kitchen items which was nice but no pizza cutter.

The stay was wonderful. Any questions were promptly answered by the homeowner themselves, not going through a pesky third party.
The place was wonderful and the condo was clean and the furnishings were perfect. Having a 3D television was a little extra and was neat to watch after a day on the beach.
They offered a small library for a more quiet time if needed.
The only sad part was we were so busy we never took the time to enjoy the daybed on the balcony.
By the end of the stay, the host were more like newly acquired friends. Not only helpful with answers, truly cared not only about our stay but our well being.
You will not find a more homey feel and caring people no matter how hard you look.
Leaving was the hardest part.

My friends and I stayed here for Spring Break and it was absolutely perfect! Very clean and had everything we needed. We LOVED the giant balcony and took lots of naps on the day bed. Sowmya was very responsive and I would definitely stay here again!! The hot tub and beach service is also amazing.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2-week stay on the beach. This was our third time staying in Sowmya's condo and it was clean, neat and welcoming when we arrived. We enjoyed the swivel balcony chairs for watching dolphins, rays and sea birds. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and relax. At this time of year, we could turn off the air conditioning and open the balcony door for the sounds and cool of the ocean at night. We are already looking forward to returning soon.

The room was good in all areas except for the living room furniture it stunk, very uncomfortable, I would be embarrassed to say that the furniture was appropriate. The floors were dirty. Walls had scuff marks throughout and the comforters had lipstick all over it so we had to wash them to use. But besides that everything else was good. The parking was a nightmare. I think the owners should visit and see their condo, so they can see how they are being maintained because the cleaning service needs improvement

This property was an excellent place to spend some time away from daily stress. Our unit was large, clean, and well equipped for any family to stay. The owner was very quick to reply to any questions we had. The view from the 17th floor was amazing! The location was perfect. Far enough from the attractions to not be crowded but close enough to get to the attractions in a short amount of time. This will be one of our top destinations in the future.
