Beautiul and soft

Location is great: not too far from Himeji Station, but distant enough to avoid crowds and noise. Parking is free and has good infrastructure. The public bath (onsen) is pretty good and well taken care of. Overall quite a good hotel if you’re traveling to Himeji on a budget!

Rather mediocre breakfast. The hotel also accept non hotel guest to ultilise the onsen.

It would be better if the hotel stop the practice of accepting non hotel guest to ultilse the onsen

The onsen was big with a sauna and steam bath. The room a clean and what you would expect from a good regular Japanese hotel room. Not to far from the station. (les than 10 minutes) They have a soap and shampoo corner at which you can get different kinds to use in the onsen.

Can't use the resting area without wearing a Yukata.

The onsen was very large with many different baths. The front staff were all very pleasant. The relaxation room was nice. The amenities bar had instant coffee which was great. There is also a shampoo bar where you can try different shampoos. The room was very cheap and the onsen and it's facilities are amazing for the price.

The room was quite dated, I accidently booked a smoking room and they were fully booked so I couldn't switch it, the smell was absolutely horrible. I had to leave the window open all day to try and air it out. The onsen is public so in the afternoon it gets very busy, I had to wait to shower at times. The mornings are only guests of the hotel, still busy but not as busy. It says no tattoos but I covered mine with waterproof band aids and no one said anything. It is a far walk from the station, there is a shuttle but I didn't try it.

Onsen access

Building is getting old and showing signs of wear. Rooms were very old fashioned. Sadly, not allowed in onsen due to a few tattoos. Half common in Japan, so I understand.

Price was reasonable and included very good buffet breakfast.

Rooms are tiny with dated fit out and are excessively heated. Tiny bed with very hard matress. Smell of cigarettes from smoking floors permeates the whole hotel.

The hot springs exceed my expectation.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating, especially the lady who ensured we could have a non smoking room. it was clean, and there was a selection of amenities for us to choose in the lobby area.

The location wasn’t the best, it’s not too far from the station but it isn’t convenient either.

Staff were fantastic. Facilities were excellent. Lovely onsen.

The room is too hot and there is no way to change the temperature.

While some people might consider the hotel to be a bit far from the station, it was a nice walk. Also, there is a shuttle bus available for the less hardy. My daughter is 8, however, and she did not complain. Though the room was not large, it was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was just right for an adult and a child . The bathroom was not very large, but we wound up using it- instead of the spa, which looked very nice, but which was extremely crowded. Also, apparently, daughters cannot enter the bath with their fathers. It seems to be a rule there. The price of the hotel, however, I should point out, was excellent. It was really a steal for the money. The neighborhood, too, is quite lovely.

The staff was, from the outset, not very friendly. The front desk clerk asked for ID for my daughter. As she is in elementary school, I said she has none. The clerk gave me a long, reproachful look that made me feel as though I were trying to smuggle an adult in on a child's fare. Later, at the bath, the clerks were totally indifferent and unhelpful with my questions about the bath, so we ended up in our room rather than the spa. For most people, however, this spa should be a very nice perk.

Things are generally good. However, there are only two washing machines and dryers for the whole hotel, which is very crowded.
