Don't even THINK about staying anywhere else if you visit Furano. We have been traveling for 9 weeks in Japan and this was our favorite. There are simply not enough words to describe the help, kindness, fun, laughter, and great time we had during our two stays there. The food was outstanding, Jimmy's English is very good, the beds are great, rooms are large and clean, and the advice and help he gave us exceeded anything we have received in Japan so far. So, thanks again Jimmy and we would love to come back and see you again!!!

We loved everything

Jimmy San was extremely hospitable and helpful. He gave us tips on places to go to, and helped us to get in touch with a lake tour guide when we had difficulty booking a tour. The instructions to get to the Pension was very clear and breakfast was wonderful! Loved the fresh ingredients used in the healthy and hearty breakfast. Thank you Jimmy San!

Absolutely wonderful hospitality in all regards in the very comfortable and clean pension that Jimmy and Noriko San have put a lot of thought into. We loved the prepared dinner and breakfast made with local ingredients and the fantastic bath. We had everything we needed and more, and could not ask for anything else! A very homely stay away from home, all thanks to hosts who go above and beyond. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back!

It is my best accommodation in Furano. The hosts Mr Jimmy & Riko san make your stay feels like home in every aspect.

Warm atmosphere of the property.

Jimmy-san took care of us for two weeks in the winter. We had a car rental and it really was a great location if you have car with everything being a close drive away (ski lifts/gondola, town, supermarket, etc). Even without a car, Jimmy gave lifts to all his guests to where they wanted to go for the day. They are also great at recommending where to go in town and helping us to book reservations for restaurants and activities. Dinners arranged in-house were great and it was so nice to receive amazing home cooking while travelling, so we ate in half the time. It was also nice to have a traditional bath in the accomodation, which I always looked forward to at the end of the day. Incredibly accomodating hosts, very comfortable rooms and they made us feel very at home for the time we spent there. Will be back anytime I spend time in Furano!

Jimmy san and his family are fantastic hosts. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Wonderful space, gracious hosts, super friendly and accommodating....everything we needed on our honeymoon.

This is not a criticism, but more of a fyi, penion ashitaya is a 5-10 minute drive from downtown Furano. Not walking distance. We had a car, so it was no problem. And Jimmy offered to shuttle.
