The bartender guy needs a customer service lesson. I was 30 min early for check in, after driving all day the rude bartender guy (youngish bloke) didn’t look up, just yelled out from the bar that check in opens in half an hour in a patronising tone, said to come back later in a manner to say get lost. I then showed at for dinner 1 min before the official dinner time, the same guy was working he said three times, we don’t start dinner until 5pm (or whatever the time was), even through it was 4:59. I answered three times that there is 1 minute to go I am happy to wait the 60 seconds.

The staff ladies that we met were truly lovely and very helpful and their attention to our needs was first class. The food was first class and 😋😋😋 and we plan to get some more on our return trip. We'll be back soon.

The noise from the other visitors. But given the time of the year (many people travelling for the holidays) this was to be expected.

Clean, tidy, efficient check in and spacious room.

I would have liked a room in the inner courtyard as I felt a little unsafe with some unsavoury looking characters hanging about outside when we arrived.

Nothing to dislike

No breakfast but the dinner was fantastic. Prawn bucket was huge and only $25 Aussie or roughly $18 US. Boiled in the shell. Yummy, with cheesy garlic naan and a salad. A la carte.

The setting of the hotel was a little rough looking. Reminded me of a stockade under siege. Most of the rooms were in back behind a large solid steel wall surrounding them. Opened by a room card.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good. I had grilled fish and chips and the fish was fresh and tasty. Got a coupon for a free drink on check-in, so my generous glass of chardonnay was on the house! My room was very pleasant, despite the outside appearance,

The outside of the separate building the rooms are in is dingy and dreary. When I parked outside my room, I thought I had made a big mistake, but inside the room was clean, pleasant and appeared newly remodeled. The $200 (AUD) security deposit was a little off-putting - made me wonder what kind of clientele they get - but it was refunded the same day I checked out, so it wasn't a problem.

Location great for stopover when travelling between Perth and Monkey Mia. Used the pool, had food in the restaurant, good vibe for families. Rooms were clean and beds were really comfortable.
