The rooms are great, comfortable. The hotel is quite new. People are very friendly and helpful. Their restaurant is the best steakhouse I've ever been to. Level of a Michelin starred restaurant. The location couldn't be better.

The location is perfect. Just one block from the KFC Yum Center. Rooms are modern and beds comfortable. The restaurant and bar downstairs were outstanding. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who were more than willing to tell us about the different Bourbons available and the history of some of the distilleries.

Our room was small and we had no real view. I am sure for an upgrade this hotel has rooms with fabulous views.

The location is great. Room was beautiful and the staff were very kind.

The room service was a little slow I called and order extra towels it took over an hour and a half to get them. The parking that the hotel recommended was very pricey almost double the price of the lot across the street.

My dinner cost more than my room. And we didn’t eat a lot to show for it. Way too pricy.

What stands out instantly is the location. When visiting Louisville as part of a Bourbon Trail weekend you'll have off times in which you can walk and explore. Turn right out of this hotel and you're there. Eight minutes to Angels Envy; 14 minutes to Michters; 1min to Old Forrester; 5 minutes to the Louisville Loop and the mighty Ohio River. The other very noteworthy comment is that this city has a great energy to it; a wonderful 'vibe!' People smile; investors have saved the old buildings and the results are magnificent with architectural detail you'll never find in post 1950's construction. Add to that the people that smile and nod when you stroll by.

This is one I'll struggle with but we realized after the weekend that we could have easily gotten by without a rental. The airport is 12minutes away; all the tours include your transport vans; restaurants are near enough you can just Uber when needed. Maybe the answer is I didn't like not realizing I didn't need a car until it was too late? No real dissapointments anywhere in this trip!

Location was great as was the restaurant. Hotel was very clean and well maintained and staff very attentive.

Valet is a little chaotic as there’s only space for three cars before spilling out into traffic. Not a fan of having bathroom vanity at entry to room/separate from shower and water closet.

Staff was great, bed was firm, free water and the free cocktail at 730. Location was great!

Bathroom/shower could’ve been cleaner, very basic wipe up job from last guest. Pillows were super flat and uncomfortable. Bed sheets also were questionable as to whether they were changed or not, had stuff under the comforter that made us second guess and glad we brought spare sheets.

Trendy, clean, friendly, great aesthetic, restaurant was AMAZING too.

Friendly, accommodating staff. restaurant “Repeal” was excellent food delicious and great service! The hotel was immaculate and comfortable ! Definitely recommend!

the ambience, comfort, and location

I asked for champagne in the room when we arrived, I called ahead and was assured that it would be there. it was not there. There were also only one robe in the room

very clean and wonderful staff. Makayla at the front desk was a true gem and the sweetest. The valet, Thomas, was very helpful and so friendly.

The pillows were terrible. there is nothing to them. Yes they are fluffy but the minute you lay in them they are flat.

We absolutely love this hotel! It was located in the center of downtown and the staff was so willing to help and so friendly and courteous. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again soon...Thank you so much Hotel Distil for an awesome stay! I think from now on , we'll stay at a 4 star hotel.

The only thing we didn't like were the pillows but all the hotels we frequent pillows are always flat and not from enough....they are just too too soft
