We arrived on a dark, horrible rainy night in October, not knowing what to expect. Posada la Fabula was brilliant. We were met by a very nice, helpful lady. She informed us that there was a buffet (a collection of pastries and drinks) and coffee available at all times and for us just to help ourselves. The room was lovely. Breakfast the next day was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for more. We would definitely stay here again. It was such a shame that the weather was so bad as we had wanted to visit Torrelavega, but that’s that’s something for next time we stay at Posada la Fabula.

Room was really small. Hosts were never there. Had a breakfast at 08:30. No sign of staff. Nothing left out for breakfast. Had to rummage around. Quite disappointed as previous reviews were very effusive. Shan't return.

Very clean and nicely decorated. There is a drinks machine and bread etc so you have something to eat when you arrive. There is no kettle for hot water so you have to use the microwave.

Arrived and no one was there. I had to ring several times before being told that someone would be there in 20 minutes. The lady speaks a bit of English, her husband doesn’t. So bare this in mind if you can’t communicate in Spanish. The property was cold and had no heating on... the hot water wasn’t switched on and as the owners don’t stay at the property I just turned it on myself.
