Location was absolutely beautiful

It was perfect would highly recommend

Island was perfect ferry ran regularly accommodation perfect all 3 of us had own bedrooms 2 on suit. Had everything if you wanted to cook alternately the castle restaurant and bar were there but had to book in advance however golf club restaurant and bar perfect food excellent and reasonable prices

Was a little way from town so we needed the car

Beautiful setting and plenty of space in the lodge. Staff in the Golf club were really friendly and helpful and gave us tea and scones since the kitchen was closed from 7pm and no other chance of getting food on the island.

It was extremely cold, and we only had the gas fire in the sitting room and a plug-in heater on the landing. Central heating should have been on. There was a wedding in the castle so therefore we couldn't use the bar or restaurant to get food or drink and the golf club had stopped serving food by the time we arrived at 7 pm. It would have been nice to be informed about the wedding beforehand and the fact that the bar and restaurant were off limits during our stay. Staff at reception could be a little more helpful and friendly.

terrible Wi-Fi and couldn’t get at the HDMI inputs on the back of the outdated TV (JVC). for the price you pay for the lodges and in this day and age, it’s a small price to pay for decent Wi-Fi and hdmi where you can bring a now tv box. called reception on the Saturday after arriving to see if someone could come done to the lodges. put it this way, we’re still waiting. would reconsider another property in future as a result

The lodge accommodated 5 adults and a baby very well. The fire was lighting when we arrived The kitchen was well equipped and laundry facilities were excellent. The beds were clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. I loved the little patio, the planting and the mature trees. it was wonderful to sleep with the window to the balcony wide open and wake to the beautiful dawn chorus. We enjoyed the ferry to and from the island and never had to wait long.

WiFi was dreadful. We stayed in January and didn’t have a problem with WiFi then. if you need WiFi for work, don’t stay at No 7. My mobile data didn’t work either. It was frustrating but I hot-spotted from my daughter’s phone when really necessary. Gomo worked without a problem. 3 couldn’t cope at the location.

Love The Island and the peace we enjoyed in the lodges. Great to have a washer and drier. loved the opportunity for hiking/walking on the trails and the other outdoor activities and wildlife.

Accommodation wasn't heated before arrival, fire alarm was beeping in one of the rooms. No coffees and sugars in our lodge.
