5 Bedrooms. Quad room for the teenagers was great. Plenty of hot water. Short walk to nearby pub. A nice 1k walk into Leitrim village, footpath most of the way. Nearby pub (owners of home) very good for food and drink. Right alongside the shannon blueway/canal lock at battlebridge (house is not in carrick on shannon...), nice walks/hiking trails from there, as well as cruiser navigation. 15 mins from Lough Key and 10 mins from Lough Allen.

House was not clean at all, spend two hours cleaning when we arrived. Whilst the person accepting payment handed us back €40 when we told them of the time spent cleaning, they did not seem interested in what the issues were, so will list them here. When moving a sofa chair found leftovers of a recent hen night - confetti, false nails, props, broken plates, spilled drink stains etc (hard to explain one item to a 7 year old). Sliding patio door and frame covered in black mold. More false nails found upstairs under a bed. Dust everywhere. Bathroom mirrors and showers not cleaned properly. Toilet brushes manky and covered in tissue paper. Broken glass pieces outside front door. We choose not to use cooker or microwave as not clean. We could not use the BBQ as previous guests used it as an ashtray. House had lots of missing/not working lights/bulbs, whilst it didn't affect us directly, we would expect them to be working. We had read the reviews, and the house looked very promising from the pics, but it failed to deliver on cleanliness. This property has huge potential, with lovely quirky things around the house, just get a proper cleaning and maintenance schedule in place. And please put good quality bed linen on the beds - one thin sheet between the mattress and the sleeper is not good.

The hen house is beautiful. Each room has its own wee touch its so cute. There are 3 bathrooms. There is a bbq and brilliant outdoor seating area. Its cute and perfect for any stay We had kids and they loved it. We were a short distance to a love pub and theor food was gorgeous and then another walk to a wee town with a garage and a few other pubs. Quick drive takes you into carrick on shannon for bigger stores etc. Thank yoi for having us xx

The property was spacious, the garden was big, it was easy to access and the host was helpful and responding to the messages in a good time. The place was nice for a private holiday and the area was beautiful. The only 2 things I have to mention is that the fridge is too small for 12 people and it wasn’t working well so food was gone as we stayed for 2 days. The other thing is that in the description it said 2 of the bedrooms has one single and 1 bunk bed (sleeps 3)but we only found 2 singles in one of the rooms so there were one bed missing. It wasn’t a big problem but just want to mention this for the future.

Plenty of space and a good base for travelling around.

The toilet seat was missing from the down stairs toilet which was not good with small kids. The kitchen was very dirty, the floors were sticky and I had to wash them with no mop provided, the dishes in the cupboards had old food on them and the sink was filthy.

Excellent service/accommodation.
