Beach Pause was a perfect location. Steps from the beach. The house was very clean and up to date. The only issues were the queen beds and couch. Both beds sagged in the middle uncomfortable to sleep in and same with the couch. Local restaurants very close with great seafood

The house is spacious and everything is well labeled. The views are beautiful and access to the beach , restaurants and shops is perfect. Lots of steps so not for weak knees! We would choose this property again.

This property is minutes from the beautiful Kill Devil Hills beach, Wright Brother's Museum and many restaurants and shops. AC worked great! All the necessary Appliances/TVs you need. Furniture is a bit out dated but the space is prefect four a couple families looking to enjoy the Outer banks.

Family vacation
The property was very clean and we paid for towels and sheets which were at the property when we arrived. It was a very short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the decks and the crows nest. We had a few minor issues but they were handled very quickly.

I was led to believe that the house had 5 bedrooms. It doesn’t!
When booked on VRBO it said that it was a 5 bedrooms house. It wasn’t. When arrived we were short one bedroom.
I was mislead on this rental. After spending over 2:30hours on the phone with people that could barely speak English and being sent from one person to another. 3 phone calls later they finally told me that the VRBO website did mention only 4 bedrooms. It didn’t!
The website description was changed by someone to correct the mistake while they made me wait on the phone. VRBO made a fool out of me!
I already have one reservation for the end of the year, that I’m not planning to change now, but one thing is true: I WILL NEVER EVER USE YOUR SERVICES AGAIN.

Easy access to beach with plenty of room for our guests as well as entertainment space and an excellent selection of movies to boot!

Good beach access. House was good size.
The house was nice size. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need for cooking and the dining area was perfect for the entire group to eat together. The only downfall to this property were the mattresses; all mattresses need replaced. The furniture in the living rooms were outdated as well.

We have been going down to Nags Head for over 25 years and Beach Pause was by far the best place we stayed! Had everything we needed and the only complaint which is a small complaint was the cable in the bedrooms. The location was awesome and the house had everything you need for a week at the beach. Looking forward to staying there next year.

Our family had a fantastic time staying at Beach Pause! The location is right across from the beach and had plenty of space. The kitchen was very modern and had all of the amenities needed for the week. We especially enjoyed going up to the crow's nest and taking in the view of the ocean and the Wright Brother's Memorial, or sitting out on one of the other decks. We've stayed in a few houses in the Outer Banks, but we'll definitely be coming back to this one again!

The house was very nice and plenty big for two families. Beach was across the street. There weren't really any conveniences within walking distance so it ended up being a week with a lot of driving. We have stayed in several beach communities and this wasn't our favorite but seems typical for the outer banks. All in all a nice place that delivered everything it promised.

Beach Pause made for a great vacation at Kitty Hawk. The home was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. One point, you need to bring your own garbage bags and food wraps as none of these were provided. The location is right on Beach Rd, which can be busy and rather noisy, but not this was not noticable at night. The home is right across from beach access, which is very convenient.

Our family had never been to the Outer Banks and decided to make the trek from Mass. We arrived early and were able to check in about an hour early. The house is very spacious and fully stocked with kitchen goods. It is a corner lot so we didn't feel crowded by neighbors. The beach is literally right across the street which was great with kids. The road is a little busy but you are just not going to be able to escape that in KDH. I would recommend this home and if KDH is where you want to be this was the best choice for the price. We loved the crow's nest deck at night, its not very big but perfect for a little escape to look at the stars. Everything was in working condition and the beds were comfy, I would recommend this home.
