The apartment is little bit too pricy.

Really loved our stay. Very clever apartment design maximizes natural light, comfort, and privacy. Located in the historic section, but on a residential street, so it is quiet at night. Just a couple of blocks from everything. Beds are very comfortable. Shower is fantastic. Loved having a washing machine (note: for U.S. guests: most homes don’t have dryers here). There is a great outdoor drying rack in the private alcove. Aveiro was halfway through our trip, so it was a relaxing bonus to be able to do all our laundry at home and not have to find a laundromat. Parking: street parking is 2 min walk away at “Parking Aveiro.” Driving to parking involves lots of one-ways so it seems far when you drive to park, but it is literally just 200m down the street and across a small footbridge to walk. We didn’t need to drive anywhere in Aveiro because the apartment is in the perfect location. We only used the car to go to the beach. The owner was extremely helpful. He gave us a helpful list of favorite restaurants. He offered boat ride tickets at a discount, and even better than the discount was just being done with having bought tickets and not trying to figure out which boat company to use as they all compete for your business :) He responded quickly to all questions and clearly has put his heart and soul into making his places wonderful and his guests happy. Our favorite restaurant (O Bairro) is just a couple of blocks away and is maybe the best meal we have ever eaten in Portugal. If you are from the US and not used to mini-splits for heating/cooling rather than central air, you might ask for a quick demo (we figured it out). Like all historic districts in Europe, stairs are somewhat narrow, so consider the ground floor unit if you have mobility issues or young children, but you already know that. We would definitely return for another stay.

The house is lovely and Ermelinda, our host, was so nice and helpful. Really comfortable upper flat in the very heart of Aveiro.
