Friendliness of the Fabrice (owner), his family and staff. Quiet setting surrounded by forest. Delicious fresh food for breakfast and evening meals. Fabrice was very knowledgable of places to see and visit, and arranged transport with a friendly, trustable, local driver.

We were a large family group and Fabrice put on the most delicious dinner for us on the terrace .The very best of French cuisine with guacamole and prawns followed by chicken byriani and finishing with bananas flambe.. Highly recommended although location may be considered by some to be off the popular tourist locations.

loved the fact it is out of the busy town, showers were the best we had during our trip. the food was delicious and everyone was super friendly. we sadly didn’t have time to use the pool or mini golf. the beds were super comfortable. Fabrice arranged a full day of sightseeing in Kandy for us, we loved it! thank you for an amazing stay.

Fabrice was a wonderful host and Nisha was so accommodating so we highly recommend this unique place. The french meals were excellent and very filling plus some excellent accompanying wines. We enjoyed our time very much.

Bit of a long and windy road to get there but quiet and secluded once you arrive. We experienced power cuts but the back up generator was always available when needed.

The host gave us great recommendations about the area and activities. We wanted to take the train from Kandy to Ella, but the host recommended us to get a scenic trip to Nuwara Eliya and then take the train to Ella from Nuwara Eliya. This was an excellent tip. The kitchen offered familiar European food at a good quality, which is nice if you want a change from local food (but they also serve good local food made by locals).

A wonderfully situated place in the jungle. You hear nothing but the birds in the morning and evening. The rooms are wonderful. The food is great. The outdoor area has suffered a bit in the Corona time, but this does not detract from the charm and comfort of the whole complex. The best thing, however, is Fabrice, the owner. Together with his wife, he is a wonderful host who takes fantastic care of his guests and their well-being with dedication. He is one of the best experiences of our holiday. We actually planned to organise ourselves from location to locations. This called Fabrice into action. He really liked it to completely organise the rest of our trip in two days, hotels, a wonderful driver and a few tourist highlights, including negotiated special prices and an airport transfer for our trailing son in the middle of the night. Unbeatable service. A travel agency couldn't have done it better. And everything was great and went smoothly. A very wonderful person in a very special place. Fabrice, we thank you so much.

We were welcomed with open ar.s by the family who owned this hotel, but the food was amazing, like nothing we have experienced in Sri Lanka, A Sri lankan French fusion, good wine, kind people what more do we want.

We were, unfortunately staying at the hotel during the time of unrest in Sri Lanka, resulting in power cuts and food shortages, handled well by the hotel staff.

Amazing hotel tucked away in the forest - you forget how close to city life you are! The rooms are spacious and although we didn’t have enough time there (we wish we could have stayed an extra night) the pool looked fab! Super friendly hosts and very talented chef :)

This is a beautiful place away from the chaos in Kandy. The food is very tasty if you want something different from traditional Sri Lankan dinners. Fabrice and our tuk tuk drivers that he recommend were lovey and very knowledgable!

It’s a bit far from the town, but the host is extremely helpful with getting a driver for you. The bathroom didn’t have any ventilation!

Very nice hotel near Kandy. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a bit remote which makes it nice and quiet. Breakfast was very good!

Soms of the pictures don't quite match what it looks like now. The porch by the pool really needs a renovation.

It was comfortable, friendly and solitary.

Fabrice is a friendly and charming host who made us feel most welcome. We took advantage of suggestions he made with our travel plans and we are so pleased we followed them. The food was fantastic - I haven’t eaten food of this quality for years and finding it in Sri Lanka was a highlight of our trip. if you stay at this property ask Fabrice to organise Isuru as your tuktuk driver - he is a brilliant, informative, happy and friendly guide who will make you smile all day!

Cosmetics: The main porch/veranda could use a do-over.

Fabrice and Sharlene (apologies for misspelling) were fabulous and most helpful with all our queries, along with the beautiful Jeannie (the partly blind dog from heaven. The beds and pillows were super comfy. The food was excellent and of a much higher standard than we've found elsewhere in SL.

It was a little more remote than we expected but it was a very peaceful and enjoyable location. Not all rooms have fridges.

It is a beautiful property in the middle of the jungle. Food was delicious.

Please get rid off the colorful neon lights around the trees, it is killing all the charm.

This hotel has an amazing location high above Kandy and a colonial feel to it, with the French host on his own up here in the jungle setting. The drive to get there is a bit tricky, but fortunately we had our driver to take care of that :-) Sitting down for a welcome drink on the patio, and then being served a fantastic dinner, we felt like we were in the French Plantation Scene. The food was amazing (like many other reviews have said, order the tuna!!). Extra plus for the cute dog Ginny (spelling?) who is now my daughter's fondest memory of the holiday in Sri Lanka.
