This is our second time staying at the property. It was just as good as the first time. The on site staff couldn’t be better or more accommodating. Anything you want is available and anything you want to do to offsite is handled. The food prepared by Teo and his family is the best on the island. Be prepared to eat! We stayed here in 2021 and just got back from another stay in May 2023. We can't say enough good things about both stays! From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by the entire staff at the top of the villa. Your stay begins with these simple words from Tallo: "Welcome to your home." Agnes is always accessible and helps through the entire process. Tallo and his family are simply the best customer service you will ever experience. Tallo's cooking... unbelievably perfect. Even Manuel, who works with Agnes and Tallo, to take care of transportation and tours, is caring and so helpful. We will continue to return over and over again.

We had an amazing stay at Casa del Sol. The property is immaculate and Tello, Juanita and all of the staff provided above and beyond service and incredible food tailored to our preferences. Everything was perfect.

This property has everything you could possibly want! It is beautiful, well-managed, and comfortable…as well as extremely luxurious. However, the very best part is the staff. This is our third experience as a group of 6 friends and it did not disappoint. The house and setting are one of a kind. The staff of Tello, Juanita and Lupicia took excellent care of us. They provided first class food, service and support throughout our stay. We plan to make this our annual destination to escape the snow and cold!

I can't say enough good things about the villa and staff! Tello, Lupita, and Juanita were fabulous hosts. All of the bedrooms are spaced out in a way that provides plenty of privacy and comfortable places to get away and relax away from your larger group. It was easy to access the beach and amenities at Pacifica resort, via the gondola. We also appreciated that the home owner Agnes, took the time to call and check in early in our stay. We cannot wait to visit again!

This is truly a five star vacation experience. Upon arrival in Ixtapa, we were picked up at the airport by a private driver, Manuel. From there, Tello and team were super responsive to our meal requests and everything they made was INCREDIBLE (they prepare three meals a day; spaghetti bolognese and chili rellenos were our favorites). It was my birthday celebration with friends so they even made a special birthday dessert one night. Every evening there was a turndown service in our rooms and every morning the place had been cleaned with fresh coffee waiting. The property itself is at the very top of a resort, so we felt safe the entire time. You can take the funicular down to the beach, which we did for a couple hours one day, but honestly we just never wanted to leave the property. I already have friends who came with us that are looking to book their next stay with other friends or family. Look no further if you are looking for a relaxing, effortless, five star experience.

This place takes the cake, incredible views, absolutely the best food and charming staff! I would come here over and over and recommend it to anyone! Tello made a wonderful cake for my 50th birthday and the host Agnes generously have me a beautiful hammock! Can't wait to come back and here the sounds of the jungle again!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa del Sol. Tello, Juanita and Manuel were so helpful. The food was great & we got everything we asked for. Rooms were well supplied and clean. We enjoyed boat rental, atv tour & snorkel trip. The view is breathtaking. All of us girls may have had tears when we first saw it. Looking forward to returning for sure. We're even considering buying a place in Ixtapa. Can't say enough about it. Love the people, culture, mountains & beaches!

Every descriptive word that can describe how we all felt can be found in the Dictionary under AMAZING! From the first pick up ride at the airport, to the house of a million stairs which leads you all to SPECTACULAR views and comforts, to our amazing house Chef Tello and his wife Juanita, to all the wonderful staff and then to the last drop off at the end of our vacation were SUPERIOR. We cannot say enough kind words without writing on for days, but just take our words into account when deciding to stay here or not, it is a place not to be overlooked. A small side note about this home are all the stairs. There are a lot of stairs. So, people with knee issues will certainly only get to stay on the top floor and dining areas as there are 4 great floors to get to and all are worth the pain if they can tolerate it. Not to be missed out. Also, please be cautious when getting out of the pools. We did have a few slipping falls occur, nothing that required a hospital or clinic call, but could have been avoided if we were told to be super cautious when getting in or out. My opinion or suggestion would be to require the use of pool shoes to avoid any further slips or major falls. The one sad note was the Gondola ride from the parking area down to the ocean, which just so happened to be under construction/maintenance, and it was very sad news to hear especially since each ride from the house staffed driver, cost you out of pocket to get anywhere below, so bring your spare change $$$ That's all for now, we certainly will call upon Agnes again if Ixtapa is in our future. Quite possibly the most beautiful property and experience at Casa Del Sol! Each room has amazing views and Tello and the house staff were always accommodating and the homemade food can't be beaten. We can't wait to come back and had the best time!

This property is a real gem! The gorgeous views from every room are breathtaking. There are so many areas with comfortable seating to relax and enjoy! The property affords privacy and yet enough space for a large group to be together. It was very easy to communicate with the owner and she answered every question and request promptly. I cannot say enough about the on-site staff! They were pleasant, welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly and responsive! We so much enjoyed being with them. By the end of our week we felt as though they had been friends forever. And….Tello’s meals were absolutely scrumptious! Each meal was beyond delicious!! He prepared everything with fresh ingredients and with obvious care! What a great vacation!!! Many thanks to Tello, Juanita and Lupe!!!

This was our third stay at Casa Del Sol and we were not disappointed. Many beautiful upgrades and suite expansions since our last visit only added to our exceptional experience. Location is the best in Ixtapa and feels like a private resort. The staff; chef Tello, Juanita and Lupa took great care of us and served tasty meals tailored to our requests. The meals were so good and the setting so beautiful, we rarely left the property. We have already booked our stay for next year. Agnes the property owner is very easy to work with and checked on our satisfaction during our visit. Highest recommendations.

With this beautiful view, you also get to experience the best meals that are prepared by the great team of Tello and Juanita. You know that you are on a great vacation when you absolutely are looking forward to the next meal whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner that was prepared by them. Agnes was great to work with and always accommodating to our request. This is one of the places that can offer a vacation experience that not only stays with you for the rest of your life but will also stay with your family as well.

We enjoyed our stay along with 5 other couples to celebrate my 50th birthday. Tello, Juanita and Leti took care of us each and every day with a variety of authentic meals cooked to perfection. Tello arranged multiple in house massages and even our COVID testing for our flights back. Each room had wonderful views of the ocean and sunsets and the multiple pools allowed us to follow the shade and enjoy them all. There are a lot of stairs but we all managed them without any trouble. By far, the best vacation spot ever! Secluded and quiet with a short walk to the free funicular down to the beach and parties. Tello will also set you up with Manuel who will help you plan various excursions from city tours to fishing and even a trip to release some newborn turtles! We had a wonderful time. Thank you for having us. We'll be back for sure!!!

Our first stay in the Ixtapa area. We did extensive research and wanted a house to be away from the crowds (COVID) and to relax. We picked the perfect house. It is ideally located, West facing on the Ixtapa bay, which provided amazing views and perfect sunsets. The house has so much character and would be perfect for up to 3 families or 4 couples. There is plenty of living space and lots of spots to congregate or find alone time. The best part was the hospitality of Tello and Juanita. The food was AMAZING! Tello works with you to map out what you want every day, and he does such a nice job with the selection, quality and any needs you have. I learned how he makes the hot salsa, guacamole and chocolate mousse. Juanita keeps things clean and help Tello make his magic. We used Manuel to book our tours (zip lining, city tour and fishing). Growing up in the area, we felt welcomed by him and trusted him to ensure we had a great time. The beach is a 200 foot and a funicular ride away (funicular was getting maintenance) or a quick van ride to the bottom of the hill. My daughter enjoyed the custom coffees at the Pacifica resort every day, which allowed me to get in some steps. Agnus, the property manager was super helpful preparing us. She arranged for a taxi to/from the airport so we didn't need a rental car. We are definitely booking here again.

There just aren't enough words to describe how incredible this property is! We are still in compete awe! Tello, Juanita and Lety are nothing short of amazing either! The meals were all fabulous and cooked with love! The rooms, the pools, the landscaping! Wow!! And the view couldn't have been more perfect! We watched a momma whale teaching her babies everyday! Our every expectation was exceeded!! We will be back!

First and foremost, Tello and his family were wonderful. The best food I have ate in Mexico! We did not even want to go out to eat! There were 11 of us staying here. The rooms were out of a magazine. The view..... no words or pictures do it justice. If there has to be a negative, it would only be we were not allowed to use the funicular or pool at the lower level of the property. On the website it states this was available. But when we arrived we were told it was private and we could not use it. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it! Thanks for an amazing time!

When you read review after review of how amazing a place is you wonder if it really is true.... When you see photos of a beautiful property you set a level of expectations you HOPE get met. This trip has by far blown us out of the water with what we expected! The casa is absolutely gorgeous! The view is the best.view you will ever have in Ixtapa. The staff is so amazing!! Tello and his wife Juanita were such gracious hosts and Claudia was an amazing helper too! So cheerful and happy to happy with any request you have. We all love great food and having a chef on this trip were curious about the level and quality the food would be. Tello is seriously an amazing chef who will meet every request you could possibly have! His Red Snapper was the best we have ever had!! I highly encourage you to give him a little free reign in the food choice....he wont do you wrong! The house itself is just beautiful!! Not a bad room! There are many different levels and lots of stairs so come knowing you will be doing stairs to get up and down to different levels of living and entertaining. The pools here are amazing. The infinity pool over looking the cliff was our favorite place to hang out all afternoon and watch the sun set. Getting down to the beach from the Funicluar is fast and easy and so relaxing! There is no extra cost to use this. Agnes is an amazing super host and makes sure that every need we have is met! We are so excited to come back again! Thank you from Minnesota!!

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Tello, Juanita and Claudia are the sweetest people. Took wonderful care of us. Tello's food is delicious! We only went out for dinner twice and lunch once really to give them a break from us! Tello fed us 3 amazing meals a day at the times we requested. Just give him an idea of what foods you like and let him plan your meals. He will not disappoint. His beef tenderloin bolognese, fish. fajitas, vegetables, eggs ranchero, potatoes, bacon, fresh guacamole, pico, beans.......etc...lol.... are amazing! He picked up our food and alcohol whenever we needed and presented a precise list of cost with receipts. So easy! The house is amazing! We had 5 couples with us and each were very satisfied with rooms. Lots of steps LOL. The house is on 6 amazing levels with stairs. Your legs will get a very needed workout! The private gondola down to the pool hanging off the cliff is an unexpected treat and the shared gondola down to the beach is just steps away from your private door. The view from your common area with dining and pool is amazing! We all agreed it was the best trip we've ever taken. The house and staff will not disappoint! We've already booked our trip for next year. Thank you Tello, Juanita, Claudia, and Agnes!! It was beautiful!

We had an amazing week at this gorgeous villa! There is so much room and each room is decorated right out of a 5 star boutique hotel. On top of that, Chef Tello is truly a 5 star chef. We loved every meal which was presented so beautifully. This was a true vacation in every way. My husband and I loved the Shalimar suite with our private dipping pool and outside lounge. The beach is great... loved going down there for a swim and then returning to house for lunch and swimming... We hope to return soon!

A group of seven women “The MN Hotties” stayed for a week at this Fabulous property ...the pictures don’t do it justice... and like all the reviews have said ...your draws drop and you keep saying OMG ...OMG...OMG as you discover new areas to explore. The infinity pool is to die for ...but what’s even better is Tello, Juanita and staff that take care of your every need ...Tello is an amazing chef ...you cannot find better food in Ixtapa anywhere!! We only went out for dinner once and it didn’t compare to the food that we had back at the Villa ...what a special vacation ...you were treated like royalty ...and if you have the opportunity to go there ....because they are booked quite heavily ...don’t Even give it a second thought!!! Do it!! we’ve already booked for next year and can’t wait to get back Agnes ,the owner of the property , is superb with her communications and very responsive to your emails....You will be impressed with every aspect of this vacation paradise!!! This is one of the most stunning places I’ve been too. It was our second visit to this home. We enjoyed it more the second time as we were more in tune with program. Tello and his assistant’s are wonderful. The cooking was fabulous. There isn’t a need to go out for dinner. They pay attention to all the details and work hard at making sure your stay is the best it can be. Be sure to ask about the cooking tour! It was a lot of fun and a great experience.

We (5 couples) recently completed our stay at Casa Del Sol and can only describe it as incredible. All of us have travelled frequently and all agree that this is the best accommodation/location/vacation we have ever had. The only thing better than the property was the people. Tello, Juanita and Claudia looked after our every need and we quickly turned over the menu to Tello and just let him prepare his choices. They were all spectacular! So much so that we never left the villa for any dinners, perfection is hard to beat! We are already planning our return trip next year so thank you so much Agnes, Tello, Juanita (loved your T-Shirts) and Claudia.
