Quaint house with great swimming

THIS WAS JUST PERFECT FOR OUR WEEKEND GET-A-WAY. LITTLE RED COTTAGE IT IS, WITH SHORT CEILINGS AND OPEN CONCERPT FEEL. ALL THE NATURAL LIGHT WAS NICE TOO AS MUCH AS MY EYES CAN BE SENSITIVE IT WAS NICE TO USE THAT THAN LIGHTS.

We had a wonderful short weekend at this lovely cottage. We enjoyed both the sunrise and sunset on the back deck overlooking the lake and also took full advantage of fishing off of the dock while we were there! The cottage is perfectly located near both shopping and restaurants, there is plenty of both in the area to choose from. It made for a perfect weekend getaway and we highly recommend this place for anyone looking to getaway for a lakefront weekend.

It was great

The property is about 15 minutes from Wesleyan. The cottage is quirky, with some slightly slanted floors and uneven height ceilings. I loved the unique, charmimg place. The lake is just a few steps away from the cottage, and if you are lucky, you may catch a bass or two. I'd definately return when in the area again.

We enjoyed staying at this property. We had an issue with the circuit breaker and the owner was super responsive even late in the evening. One thing to note is that it does have low ceilings and a small shower so if you’re tall (above 6 feet) it may not be super comfortable. The lake and outside seating area was beautiful.

This is the fourth year er have been to this property to enjoy the area and the foliage. The owners made some upgrades this year and we enjoyed so of them. The cottage is cozy and quirky, we love it and will be back next yrat

My husband and I both loved the cottage. We enjoyed grilling and sitting by the fire pit. The location was perfect. We biked, hiked and did kayaking. The neighbor was so sweet and she let us use her kayak. Just a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Definitely a destination for next year. Thank you!

We LOVED It!!!

A nice location for sure. The cottage is right near the lake shore. If you're into fishing or swimming it is a nice spot. It is def for 2 people max. People nexr door were nice and welcoming. There is a major issue that I'd like to highlight. If you're taller than 5'10" you will not be able to move around the bathroom or the kitchen without craning your neck. The ceiling is low and is slanted and is covered in sharp spray on. It can be very annoying. The bathroom door is hung rustic outhouse style ie you will hear sounds coming from the bathroom. Lastly ir would be good to have a nicer selection of plates and drinking cups but it's not a biggie. So - all in all a 3/5.

VERY COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN...NEIGHBORS FRIENDLY...WILL COME BACK..

This is a very rustic cabin updated with modern ammenities. Right on the lake with gas grill and gas firepit. Dock made it easy to get in and out of the water. We spent most of our time on the deck relaxing. There are a lot of motor boats and sea-doos so it was a little noisy sometimes. Kitchen was adequatly stocked with dishes. The bed was very comfortable. Planning a return trip in the future.

The cozy little lake cottage was everything we needed for a close to home weekend getaway. We will definitely come back! The deck was a beautiful spot to watch the boats and kayaks on the water! It was a perfect weekend!

Everything was perfect. From the house to the lake, no complaints. If you like fishing/boating this place is a no brainer. The property manager was accessible when needed. We will be back!!

We love the location of the red cottage. It has direct access to the lake. It was our 3rd stay at the cottage. We love the people next door from the blue cottage who are there all year round. They are very helpful and they make us feel like home. Our kids love to play at the lake with their grandson. This weekend kids had blast at the water swimming and finishing. We love to come here and spend time at the lake. The cottage is small in size but we where looking to spend time at the lake more then inside. We where at the lake all the time and only use the cottage for sleeping and eating. It was great for us. We will be back next year.

Great little cottage with everything you need to have a great time!

Cottage is small but very clean and minimalist for an uncluttered calming stay. Beautiful lake views. No private dock but the friendly neighbor let us use theirs. Adequate Kitchen facilities: one large pan and pot, one tiny pan. Could use ice cube trays. Shower is small as previously stated but water pressure is good. Did not have any luck starting the firepit but it was a nice place to sit by the water. Deck was the best part - looks new and furniture was perfect for relaxing. Grilled and chilled. Highly recommend for 2 persons.

Adorable clean cottage located on beautiful lake -highly recommended

We had a lovely time at this lakeside retreat! Know that this little bitty cottage is humble and cozy. My husband and I are small folx, under 5'8, so the very small kitchen and bathroom were not too small for comfort. Big folx may have a hard time navigating tiny shower. But, it's a lake cottage so embrace the coziness. Also embrace the wildlife. There were some insect friends in the cabin itself (again, it's next to the lake so that's what happens) and there were plentiful geese's, ducks, woodpeckers, finches, chipmunks, and squirrels to see outdoors. We even saw two bald eagles fishing in the lake. Wake up to the beautiful view and misty morning. Sit by the water and find peace. Overall, a peaceful stay. Would advise more pest control for squeemish guests. And we were obviously one of the first guests of the season as they did not get the chance to repaint the house after adding the nice back door deck. LOVED the electric stove fireplace.

Comfy little cottage with great views. We spent hours looking at the ducks and skipping rocks into the lake. Heater worked great. Dee was super helpful during our stay!

Easy to rent, cozy cabin. Nice amenities. Mattress wasn’t great but everything else was very nice.

This is a very cozy space in a beautifully peaceful setting. The view was breathtaking. It was a pleasurable experience.

We lost power twice trying to warm up the house. But overall we were safe and okay.

We so enjoyed our stay in CT, our ONLY complaint about the cottage is lack of seating of any comfort in the living room, ok with slanted floors, small shower. just need some sort of place to sit in living room and watch TV. thanks

Beautiful spot. Great place to relax, read and good launch point for Hikes.

Had a quiet weekend at the cabin. Very simple place but nice view and close to Wesleyan.
